Description: леность is in good physical condition, which is surprising in that most of the time she is either asleep or trying to be asleep or feigning sleep. She was named very approproately, so how she wound up the way she is is an ongoing mystery. She is tall, well-built and somewhat muscular without being overly so, and when her eyes can be bothered to open, she can actually look fairly intense.

Personality: Have I mentioned lazy? Her ultimate goal would seem to do as little work as possible through all eternity, if she could even have the determination to consider the future, that is. Her very presence seems to bring down others, leading to her being called a wet blanket. Most of the time, she's only barely awake so she doesn't even hear comments like that.

• Mother: Yushiko. Her dream was to get married and raise a family, and she took to it like a fish to water. Every day is enjoyable in it's own right, and she has a habit of always looking on the bright side. It's difficult to get her depressed, but she's not crazy about creepy-crawlies.
• Father: Norihiko. A plain man, he enjoys his job and works dawn to dusk every day. Straightforward to a fault, he isn't good at the social niceties and occasionally puts his foot in his mouth. But his earnestness and determination usually get him through any real trouble.
• Siblings: None yet.
History: When леность was born, nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary. At first. When the doctor swatted her, however, she didn't cry. They knew that she could breathe, however, she just seemed somewhat listless. Several tests later, they found out she was perfectly healthy. She just didn't cry, didn't even react much at all. As time went on, this became the norm. Even as a child, she was quiet, and seemed to become extraordinarily attached to naptime. While the other kids played, she preferred to snooze or relax. She somehow stayed fit in spite of this, but it was still worrisome to her parents. Eventually, it got to the point that they had to take drastic measures, and they tried every last one they could think of. Private tutors, personal fitness instructors, the latest games, none of it worked. Now, her parents are on their last option, sending her out to the Ninja Academy, in the hopes that she might learn to be at least a little active.

Description: This character is the ultimate expression of laziness. They don't just prefer to not do work, they just plain don't do work. Half the time, they only get from Point A to Point B if someone carries them. They are so lethargic, that the very air around them is even lazy, the wind slowing to a stop, the rain almost falling slower.
As the embodiment of sloth, this character cannot claim words from posts they make. (Yes, another one of these...) The gimmick this time, is they can only gain from freebies. Whether it be a time skip, or special event, or anything like that. Meaning they could be in the Academy a LOOOONG time. As an added bonus, however, they gain half again the freebies, rounded down. (So if it's 2000 chakra and three techniques, they'd instead get 3000 chakra, and four techniques.)
The benefit of this is that their laziness serves to protect them. Much like an antithesis of Karaoke's Speedballs, this character possesses an aura that serves to buffer them from movement or force. Projectiles lose momentum before striking them, fires run out of fuel once they get too close, even Genjutsus seem to lose their power. Pretty powerful defense, but that's all they have. No matter what techniques they know, no matter what weapons they have, they can NEVER attack. Attacking would be too much work, after all. They can't even activate a technique to protect themselves, not even something passive like Inner Fire or whatever.
Activation Cost: Passive, they're far too lazy to pay a cost.

Description: Scherbe is a calm girl, and seems to possess a level of experience far beyond her years. She lacks immediacy, and is generally focused on the big picture. Though the ends justify the means, she thinks one step beyond that, and as a result is often considered hard to approach. She has a tactical mind, and enjoys recreating military encounters, adding variables to study every facet of the conflict. Her hair is the white of marble, rather than the white of old age, and her eyes show a certain hard-fought experience. She has seen battle, she has born witness to the dying soldier's fading moments. • Mother: Stheno. still active as a mercenary in the Kell Hounds. They've served whoever can meet their fee for decades, rotating in new members as current members retire or 'are retired'. While getting up there in years, she's every bit the firebrand she ever was, and her special talent for demolitions has earned her a secure spot in the group.
• Father: Perceval, a military consultant and negotiator. He worked with the Kell Hounds on several occasions, but it was only when inclement weather kept him overnight that he met Stheno. They shared a brief but memorable encounter, before he returned to his duties. Even now, well over a decade later, he does not know he has a daughter.
• Siblings: None
History: Scherbe grew up surrounded by war. This was not an over-dramatization, it was simple truth. But she was not an orphan, lost in the flames of eternal conflict. No, she was simply a military brat. The child of a member of a mercenary group, she went where the group did. As such, she saw a great deal of war. One on one brawls, flamethrowers turned on supposed civilians, tactical demolitions, assassinations. She became partially inured to this lifestyle, it was simply a matter of fact affair. For why would it be anything else? Her family, the entirety of the Kell Hounds, took great care of her. They taught her to count by the number of kills they got, they taught her math, how to read and write, history, and everything else. Her education was esoteric at the best of times, but she was never neglected.
There was only one thing she was ever refused. That was to sortie with the rest of the unit. After all, she was their secondary mascot! But they refused her time and time again. Even after they gave her courses in self defense, even after she tapped into her family's birthright. They still said no, to protect her. In order to prove she was ready, she went AWOL, and joined the Ninja Academy in order to become strong enough that the Kell Hounds would welcome her as a worthy, as someone who could fight, instead of just be there when they returned.

• History, especially military records and troop reports
• The Kell Hounds. They were her family for the first years of her life.
• Crystals and gems. They're pretty, and permanent.

• Chaotic social matters, like parties or concerts.
• Water, even ponds unnerve her.
• People who don't know their history, and are doomed to repeat it.
Traumas: Nearly drowned when she was seven, this is part of why she dislikes water even now. It is also why she has completely refused to learn to swim, or even walk on water.
Phobias:: Ditto. Hydrophobia is rabies, though.
Other:: She grew up on the stuff, and now simply can't go without a daily time-out for tea and hardtack. Seriously.
