Sasha frowned as hard as she could at Jerry; in truth, she looked more like she was in agony than anything else. When Jerry started… stuttering more than normal, Sasha's frown turned into something more concerned.
"I promise to watch out after myself, Jerry," her voice was laden with worry.
"But.. you have to promise, too. I'm.." she pursed her lips, watching him carefully. "I'm … I'll let you rest now, I've put your glasses beneath the pillow, so don't roll over o-on them, okay?" Sasha reached out to brush the backs of her fingers against his forehead as if checking to see if he had a fever. Satisfied that he didn't, Sasha rose from the bed.
"I'm.. I'll be back to check on you. I'm going to be very upset if I come back to check on you and you're not in this bed, Jerry."

He nodded stiffly, his face pale as he had a moment of panic, groping about th ebed and around it until his hands blindly found his guitar and he relaxed again with a sigh. Carefully, he made sure it was tucked under the bed, "And... and you'll p-play for me again? I'll... I'll be here." If he could get back to sleep.

He looked so sad there on the bed, but she was determined to make him rest. If he didn't sleep, that was fine, but Sasha was bound and determined to make him stay in that bed.
She meant it. No, really.
"Of course, Jerry. Maybe we can play together, hmm? I saw a room with some posters and stuff, and some weird music; if you want, maybe we can play in there? It seemed like a nice place, and that way we wouldn't bother anyone." Sasha reached forward and fussed with his hair again, giving his cheek a gentle pat.
"If you need me, I'll be close. And.. I'll have. Um, my phone. You know. I'm here for you, okay?"

"K-killzone's room?" Jerry paled, but after a few calculative darts of his eyes, he swallowed and nodded, "Yeah... yeah, that'd... if... if it's m-mostly empty... Don't want to... don't want to bother-other anyone." Last time he had tried to play, Candace had closed in on him. He didn't know what he had been thinking. Trying to think about anything but what he had been thinking. He'd rest and then head back up again. He was just exhausted. He'd think clearer after some rest. Sasha would make sure everything was alright, she wouldn't let anyone take his guitar, let them talk, let them whisper, He was okay, he'd stay okay.
He forced a smile and lay back down carefully, "Thank you."

"You're welcome."
That strange stutter was back, though not as repetitive as it had been the first time. Sasha pressed her lips together as she stared down at him before moving wordlessly to sit on the bed. She reached out to push against his shoulder, effectively forcing him to rest on his back so that she could squeeze herself onto the bed next to him. In truth, if this had been anyone else, someone that she didn't trust completely, there would have been no way that Sasha would find herself doing this.
Jerry needed comfort, and he'd always been a source of comfort for her; checking up on her after the external mission had gone awry, and even today, bringing her flute to her.
Sasha squeezed onto the bed next to him, resting her head on his shoulder. It wasn't entirely comfortable but it was comforting.
She offered no explanation aloud; instead, she softly started humming the song they'd performed together during music club tryouts - Edelweiss - pale fingers fussing with his scarf.

"W-w-woo-what are you doing?" He stammered as she suddenly closed in, his heart racing as he nearly rolled out of the bed to escape. He wobbled, unsure of what to do about this, but as her soft singing started, his sharp, panting gasps of anxiety attack quieted and he simply settled in, staring up at the ceiling blindly. He didn't sing along, not strictly, although as his eyes started to drift shut, a few notes did squeeze their way out of his throat.
Safe, he just... needed to feel safe. No where felt safe here.

"I'm just going to st-stay here until you sleep, okay?" She took a pause in her soft singing, a tense smile on her lips. This was entirely too awkward, she knew it, but it was the least she could do.
Once he calmed down enough to close his eyes and... what? Even sing along? Sasha's smile grew more gentle.
"I'll keep you safe while you sleep, Jerry, I promise." Maybe he'd be offended at the thought of a petite young woman keeping watch over him, or just maybe it would help him sleep. She was growing drowsy herself, but she kept humming as if it would keep her own nap at bay.

"You... you don't need to.. I'm..I'm fi-" He couldn't stop the yawn, "-ine." He swallowed, shifting again. Maybe this was okay. Maybe this would be alright. He'd sleep and feel better and Sasha was here she'd make sure he didn't miss anything, that no one came by, tampered with his guitar, tried to drag him down into the caves to put him out of his misery.
His head had already lolled on the pillow, his arm limply wrapping around her shoulders and before he could fight any more, sleep over took him again as though lulled by her song.

It didn't take long for Sasha to fall asleep, as well. Soon enough she was snoring against Jerry's chest, drooling heavily in her deep state of sleep.
It was just a pity that such a blissful moment of deep relaxation would bring on horrendous nightmares.
