He really wasn't dissociated? Well, the fact that he was aware that was her concern probably confirmed that. When he did that he was in another place, he didn't realize he was doing it. He..he really did want her?

W..well the--oh wow! He kissed her her again and her eyes widened once more. This was wrong. She shouldn't be doing this. He didn't know what he needed, what he wanted. He claimed he was losing his mind. He hated sex, at least with her. There was no way he wanted this. This was wrong. She should be putting a stop to it. This wasn't fair to either of them. This wasn't right.

Oh god she missed kissing him. She missed being held by him. He wasn't perfect but when things were going well for them they'd gone really well.

One..one day of stress relief wouldn't hurt, right?

Just once. One day. One time. One more time. That's all they needed, right?

"Jerry.." She whispered, drawing away from his kiss. Just once. One time. One time wouldn't hurt. Maybe it could even help Jerry. "Do..do you know a place?" She asked quietly, her voice barely above a whisper.

He didn't know a place. She didn't know a place. Going up to the surface was too risky.

Not ******** fair.

Candace frowned, catching his lips for another kiss and burying her fingers in his hair. "I don't do closets, Jerry. Closets are cramped, uncomfortable and for people with something to hide." She raised a brow, toying with the man's hair. "Deeper underground doesn't sound safe.." She pouted. Oh, hell no. She refused to be blue ball'd by a location. Candace didn't do walks of shame out of a closet.

She was quiet for a long moment before leaning in to kiss him again. When would Jerry give her this opportunity again? Never. She was damn determined to see this through now. "We'll find a place."

Wait. Wait, what? Why was he..no..no! This was her chance! No! ********! Candace watched with dismay as Jerry got up off the ground, bringing his guitar with him. Oh god no why! Not fair! She was all riled up from the kissing and the promise of it possibly happening ********>! No! There was a cackle from Atropos in her head that she did her best to ignore. Go? Go where? There was nowhere to go here! But she had to keep those thoughts to herself. Goddamnit, this wasn't fair.

Candace sighed. "Fine.." She also got up off the ground, dusting herself off. Candace paused, turning to Jerry to wrap her arms around him in a hug and give him one last kiss. "Thank you...I do feel better now." She smiled, playfully tapping the man's nose. "Maybe later, when we're back up on the surface and everything is safe, okay? If you still want it, I'll gladly.." Candace pouted her lips. But she wanted him now..

"Jerry...I..I know you said it wasn't a good idea in the Antarctic but..." She rubbed her lips together, looking out at the cots. No privacy. Candace turned back to Jerry and sighed, petting his cheek with the back of her fingers. "Tonight would it be terrible of me to ask if...we could sleep together? I don't mean sex, just..you know...being held is nice."

Unless he'd rather have his precious Sasha do that for him. No. Stop it Candace. You like Sasha.

She frowned. She did like Sasha.

"Nevermind. Forget I said anything."

Candace blinked, watching him step away from her. Normally she would have let him go, just leave and move on...but he wasn't doing well. He wasn't doing well at all. This was her fault. She had to fix it. She couldn't just leave him. "Ah..Jerry. Jerry it's okay not to know you don't need to...Jerry wait.." She followed him. It wasn't hard, he was limping and she had two perfectly healthy legs.

"Somewhere, over the.."

Oh..he'd been playing that earlier. Would that help? Candace forced a smile. "Rainbow. Way up high.." Her voice was soft and light, testing the waters so to speak. "There's a land that I heard of..once in a lullaby.." Anything. Anything to calm him down. She couldn't let him go on like this. No.

Oh, good. He was saying actual coherent sentences now. Sighing with relief, Candace smiled and nodded. "That makes sense. How about..you take a shower? I'll stand guard at the entrance so no one bothers you, okay?" She put a hand on his shoulder and gave it a reassuring squeeze. "Shower, eat something, and then try sleeping. You have to sleep, Jerry. You have to. And I'm here if you want someone to talk to, okay?" And she was sure Jordan and Sasha would help him, too.

He thanked her. He was still shaken, but he thanked her. That was a start. He wasn't pushing her away, he'd kissed her, he'd even offered to have sex with her if she wanted it. But how much of that was a nervous breakdown and how much of that was genuine desire? Probably none of it was the latter. Candace just stood there, watching him quietly as he moved about with discomfort. It broke her heart to see him like this. She wanted to fix it. She'd do anything to fix it. Anything.

As he reached for her her heart fluttered, turning her cheek expectantly toward that hand until it dropped to her shoulder. She pouted. Couldn't they just go back to kissing? He was good at kissing. Very good, even. "Later...oh! Uh..Jerry?" She reached out to grasp the sleeve of his coveralls. "Remember, if you need anything..anything at all? I'm here. I'll always be here, okay? You're always the first I go to when I need someone...so..just keep me in mind? Okay?" She let him go then, watching the man limp away.

Once Jerry was out of her sight she breathed in deeply, closing her eyes and pursing her lips. She waited a few seconds..before punching the nearest wall. She had to get her mind off what kissing him had done to her. Candace punched the wall one more time before walking off, hissing and looking down at her hand. It'd be okay..
