The friendly gesture did prove to lift Guy's spirit a small amount, even if all it was was just a clap on the shoulder. He was grateful that Yuri was so understanding. The bathroom statement reminded Guy that Luke was still banished there, and at Yuri's suggestion, he figured he might as well let the kid out. Bringing himself to his feet, Guy sighed. "Yeah... Stronger."
As Guy walked past the bathroom door, he rapped his knuckles against it, calling out to Luke. "Luke, we're done. You can come out now." Without stopping, Guy made his way over to the door of the apartment, pausing before he turned the knob.
"Thanks for inviting me over, Yuri. I'll see you around sometime." That said, Guy left and started on his way back to the hotel to mull things over. 'What doesn't kill you makes you stronger...' A sad smile formed on the edges of Guy's lips. Was he really stronger through it all, he wondered.

Contrary to what his brother might have constantly insisted, Luke wasn't always incapable of reaching his own conclusions. He had noticed that Guy's and Yuri's conversation didn't go far before devolving into whispers, those whispers turning to silence, all of it culminating in Guy's request for Luke to leave the room. He knew what was being said, and though he was glad not to hear it, the boy found himself dreading how Guy would face him when they finished their discussion. Would he see him as a friend or as a murderer...?
When Luke emerged, Guy was already gone, leaving Luke staring after the recently shut door and assuming the worst. Increasingly terrified, he looked to Yuri for some indication as to whether or not his fears were justified.

"Later," Yuri said in farewell to the other man before he took his leave. As soon as Guy had left and Luke had emerged, Yuri was starting to wonder how he'd gotten himself wrapped up in all of this.
The look from Luke just earned him a smile and a pointing of the sword back in the direction of the sink. He hadn't finished the dishes after all. With that, Yuri just went back to cleaning the sword as if nothing had happened. Looked like Luke would probably be staying with him for a while longer, until he and his friend both sorted their feelings out.
