"Got it." Jordan braced his feet and waited for the phoenix to dive at him again. When it did, he brought Ferros around and up into and through the core of the wispy monster; Ferros burst into flame with a soft whump as he passed through it, slowed only a little by the phoenix's substance. But the flame seemed to hurt the thing. It screamed with multiple voices and flapped frantically to regain height, brushing against the ceiling and hovering there.

He only managed to squeeze out duece before his phone went skidding away by the sheer amount of help here. Thank god for Jordan and Harrsion, they were a goddamn wrecking ball team,
Dakota moved over to Clerise instead and grinned.
"Calavary is all here babe, now...don't you want to stab things?" He positioned himself so that he could defend her in case the bird thought it would funny to take out the Circus Act.

Clerise blinked up at the guy who had come instead of Clarice.
Ohh. Bad shape? Dread slipped around her like a cocoon, a little voice of panic thrumming up inside her mind.
She shook her head after a moment, growling. Now was not the time to lose your ******** cool, Clerise Nicole. Dakota put himself between her and the phoenix.
"You know, Brat," the redhead said with a blinding smile, "I could kiss you right now. Thanks~" He knew exactly what she needed right then: to shank some bitches.
Lunging at the creature, daggers out, Clerise slashed upwards with a laugh. It screeched out, clawing at her with its talons-- good thing there was a Dakota with her, keeping her safe.
What a trusty, trusty little meat shield. Being mancandy just gave him double points.

Dakota deflected the blow from Clerise as she moved around him, slashing up at the beast. He moved when the bird attacked, blocking the Talons from Clerise and moved back.
"That's the best damn offer I have had all day." Dakota grabbed her waist after her attack and smashed their lips together. "I expect a return kiss after we beat this thing okay?" He tucked and rolled as the Phoenix dove again, coming up short of little ms. Mocha.
"Oh Candace...." He grinned as he got up, "Glad to see you here Starbucks. Want to get an attack in? I'll defend you okay?" He prepared for another attack from the Phoenix.

Candace was not attacking without a Moon. Were there any free? Marcus was here, but he was busy..where was Cass? Did she not want to come? It was unusual to see one without the other, especially for a battle. She frowned, looking to the next Moon. Harrison! Oh, Harrison! Yes! He could Moon for her--er..nevermind. He could defend for everyone but her. Fine. Just..fine...she didn't need him.
No. ********. Yes she did. She winced, stumbling back away from the group with her hands on her head. Focus..focus! Atropos hissed, drowning out the voices. Her heart raced. Thoughts such as how she should have stayed back in the barracks, how she was useless, filled her head and made her tremble. Stop that. Stop it. She looked up in time to watch as Dakota stole a kiss from Clerise and her heart sank; it wasn't the people in particular, it was the reminder that she hadn't been shown affection like that from someone who cared about her in...awhile. A hug. Just one hug was all she wanted from him. She hadn't seen him since they returned...it hurt. She wanted to be with him.
She looked startled as Dakota approached her, about to offer help up until he was on his feet anyway.
...Starbucks. "I'm only answering to that because it starts with the word 'star', okay? And..yes, I would. Harrison's ingrained it into my head ever to fight without a Moon so.." She gave a forced smile as she nodded to his offer, going in under Dakota's cover.
Unfortunately the moment she got close enough to touch the phoenix there was a loud shriek in her head that didn't belong to Atropos, one that sent her slamming to the floor clinging to her head. Son of a b***h!

"Well as long as you like it, I'll keep calling you it." He moved to defend Candace, catching the Talons of the Phoenix as it swooped down to her. "No one touches My Starbucks." Dakota let Chama flare, the bird giving a high shriek.
He expected Candace to move then but she didn't and looked over his shoulder at her.
"Starbucks? Candace." He watched as Killzone came in and...BACKHANDED?
"Keep your Pimp hand strong Killzone." Cause the ******** it did to that bird was CRAZY.
"Candace...Attack again." He moved to keep her defended. "I got you, Don't worry okay?"

No one touches my Starbucks. Candace blinked, looking up at Dakota from where she was laying on the floor. His Starbucks? She smiled a bit, sighing and moving to her feet as he said her name. She waved a hand dismissively. "I'm fine, I'm fine. I'm okay." A lie.
...Killzone. What the hell. She just stared at him, watching as he just...slapped it.
What. The hell.
This man couldn't possibly be for real. He had to be, like, some kind of experimental..something.
Candace shook her head, giving Dakota a strained smile. "Right. Okay."
Don't worry.
She slid under his arms, gliding over the floor with one leg extended and her foot pointed so the blade sliced against the phoenix's underside. Candace gasped. She hit it! She actually--ow! ********. It slapped her with a wing and she hurried away from it, throwing her arms around Dakota and giving him an excited kiss at the corner of his lips. "Thank you!" She grinned, giving his cheek a kiss. "One more time and then you can go back to your Lady Love, 'kay? Just one more." She'd hang back and offer support after that. She had three bandages she could use, and she could offer very, very light blocking if someone really needed it.

Jerry had honestly been surprised by the text. He had been getting a bit of well-earned sleep when his phone had started beeping. A message from... Candace?
The phoenix??
Oh, bother. Grabbing his coat, he limp-ran as fast as he could to the portal...
By the time he made it to the labs, cannon slung over his shoulder, he could only gape at the mayhem ahead of them. "Ah... ah... I'm ah... D-do you ah..." He stammered uselessly.

Jude was not sure what to make of this Dakota person but he wasn't doing anything at the moment anyways, plus the need to help out fellow Hunters, reclaiming what was lost, and all that good jazz was enough to make a good effort into running to the location, weapons summoned. He took a couple of seconds to assess the situation before he threw himself at the foe in question.
The hit back wasn't very pleasant at all. Apparently it wasn't joking around with anyone.

Once again, it warmed Molly’s heart to see all the Hunters banding together to fight the Phoenix. She looked back at Rep, making sure he was O.K. as she held up her lance to keep on defending him. Maybe if they just held in there for a bit longer, they’d be able to do this! She could most certainly hope. HP: 40/40

Molly was doing a very impressive job covering him from the phoenix and its swooping attacks, keeping his attention on it rather than what else might be going on round about him as much as he humanly could.
He was so sick of these ******** monsters already and found killzone's battlecries only spurred him on to greater and greater heights of redirected frustration.

Stop standing there like you're gonna' pee yourself and FIRE! Roar snarled over the hiss of static in the back of Jerry's head, and he was quick to oblige. Well, at least the explosion of sound and light from the bazooka was a better introduction than standing there trembling.
The creature lashed out from the sudden onslaught, and with a yelp, he was sent tumbling back.
But at least he had hit, right?

Dakota felt Candace slip under him as he held the the Phoenix off. The slash to the underside was nice, especially as he saw her leg swing up. Damn gurl, where you work out at?
He huffed a breath as she came back and gave him a kiss on the cheek. It started with a grin spreading to his cheeks and a slight flush. Then he raspberried her back, sticking out his tongue.
"Got it. You got this Starbucks." He stretched as he set himself up again for her attack. He was ready to defend. "One more time and then heals....I think. Unless we defeat this thing..."
Chama flared up around him as he nodded. He was doing good.
He really was.
"HI JUDEEEEEEEEEEEEEE." Dakota waved at the death hunter who came in to help. "Glad to see your looking....like you Jude." Yeah he wasn't sure if he should hit on the dude, or hit the dude at the moment. It was awkward...just very awkward thing with Jude.

All things considered Jude was focusing more on hitting the creature that was there than he was on how awkward things between him and Dakota were just now. Granted it wasn't like they kissed or something it was sill just as bad. Just. As. Bad.
When he took his swing and then stumbled back from a returning hit he glanced over at Dakota with his expression set in that neutral state, "Yes, I would hope I look like me."
The last thing he needed was for Dakota to run over to try and grope on him. Ewwww.
