This monster was a big, lumbering slug, and it had decided to smack Clerise.

It was kind of strong for a slug.

That was pretty disturbing in its own right.

It also was pretty hard to stab. Daggers seemed pretty easy, she didn't need to ask Dakota about them (what does he want, and why does he? He has the saddest eyes and the brightest smiles and wants way too ******** much. Who cares if he hasn't verbalized it. He practically did in the Amazon. SOS ALERT: HE DIGS YOU. TOO MUCH. HE'S EIGHTEEN AND CONFUSED ABOUT HOW THINGS WORK, way to ******** go. Clerise. Way to go.)

During her internal tirade against herself, the slug-beast slorped up on her.

God that wasn't even a real noun, and yet, it perfectly described what just happened.

Whatever this ******** beast had, it was toxic. Clerise heard rather than felt it sizzling her coat away, gnawing away at her tasty, tasty fear shield.

Slug. Slime. Everywhere.

The redhead was glad these weren't HER clothes, especially as she stabbed at its...general head area?... and nearly drowned in slime in the process.
