The anger had subsided and with it came the guilt. The guilt that she had attacked Invictus unjustly, the realization that she had caused harm to herself and was now paying for it with a tender head and a splitting headache. It had taken a long moment for Mitsu to actually make her way through the portal. Her mind was in a fog and the whispers were distant but still present. Every once in a while she would turn thinking someone was talking to her but no one was. It was just the voices in her head murmuring doubts and insecurities that Mitsu couldn’t bother to pay attention to at the moment.
Through the portal Mitsu followed the masses as they were herded to the gymnasium like cattle. Only briefly did she stop, her eyes going wide as the saw the Boogeymen taking Riley’s statue away. “W…Wait. Wait!” She tried to follow but her legs were so heavy, she could feel her body slowing down even before she was turned and redirected back in toward the gym with everyone else. But they were taking Riley, they couldn’t just take her. She needed to stay here where they could keep her safe.
Stumbling as she was pushed through the doors of the gym Mitsu turned her head from side to side the world around her already starting to tilt and waver on its own. She felt drunk from exhaustion and blood loss, her hair streaked with drying blood. There were people she needed to find. Where were her friends Hel and Xiu? Where was Shun?
Frantically she began to search her legs teetering closer to the ground with every step. “Shun? Xiu? Hel?” It really would have done no good if they were close, already Mitsu’s vision was closing in around her. Slowly she found herself sinking to the ground, black spots dancing across her blurred vision. Blindly her hands reached out desperately trying to continue her search lacking the aid of her eyes. If she could just find him, feel him, smell him, know that he was okay that would be enough and she could give into the darkness with no worries.
Her hopes would never be fulfilled, however. She had made it a mere few feet from where she had dropped to the floor on her knees when the darkness completely shrouded her vision and her mind. Her hands dropped limply to her sides as her body slumped toward the floor being forced into an involuntary sleep. The whispers were silent now, quiet for the time being waiting for the ghoul to awake again.

The moment they stepped through the portal back into Halloween, Faustus felt like he was stepping through a dream. It felt so familiar, and yet strange at the same time. Distant. As though he were peering at it from someplace far far away and detached. The boil leant his head gently against Amarus as the students were ushered along through the Weeping Forest, the branches whispering with unacknowledged words that almost sent another chill along his spine.
He was tired, so tired. They had been fighting for ... how long?? ... Their first encounter with the hunters on the War Isle seemed itself like a distant dream, forever ago ... his body ached just trying to remember it.
Somberly, the students were ushered through the front gates of Amityville and into the gymnasium. This was his first time in the gym, and yet the demon's eyes caught nothing of it's appearance. He couldn't seem to process that this was real. That any of this was real. As they settled on the floor, Faussi took a moment to take in the sight of Olivia, Mea, and Amarus beside him. They all looked the same as he felt. Wearily the boil reached out, wrapping his arms around Amarus as he leant his head back against her.
" ... Is it over?? ..." he mumbled softly, voice scarcely above a whisper. His eyelids fluttered, unable to remain open. After a moment of fighting it, he closed them, listening to his friends as they spoke.

Come here...
stay away
fall DOWN
The voices were swirling in the back of Serafina's mind. She did not even realize she was being ushered into Amityville, something which would have made her little ghoulish heart nearly sing in joy if she had--something about how big the school was had always appealed to her. Perhaps it was a good thing she didn't realize, anyway. She didn't need anything which would make the echoing voices any worse than they already were, the insanity from the lands of the Four Clans hitting her hard and strong, leaving her head spinning in constant little dizzy circles.
Of course, it was probably made worse by how little she recognized anything in the area. She knew nothing about the school, nothing about the gymnasium, and it was feeding into the insanity she felt, digging deep in as she tried to make sense of any of her current surroundings. There were all sorts of things the little voices in her mind told her, a whole slew of things that didn't make any kind of sense no matter how hard she tried to understand... or perhaps, how little she tried to understand, considering how much was being absolutely barreled at her, and how little her mind was beginning to even... care.
...What a nice place to sleep sleep sleep sleep...
She had few other thoughts as she let herself curl up on the floor, her eyes settling shut despite the spinning in her mind. She felt oddly... relaxed, despite everything that happened.
...Very ... relaxed...
Take a rest...

Amarus couldn't really tell what time it was, where she was, or what was happening. Essentially, she merely followed Faustus' glow, and held on as much as she could, her other hand outstretched and making sure that Olivia and Mea were nearby, Fallow too if he was around. As they walked, and Faustus leaned his head on her, Amarus walked just a little closer to him, smiling despite her exhaustion. She freed one of her hands for just a pause, to brush it against Faustus' face without looking up at him, returning her hand to its previous position, holding onto whoever she needed to-- undoubtedly, one of her hands was perpetually seeking Faustus' hand. She didn't have the energy nor the capacity to make sure everyone was safe... Amarus barely had enough energy to keep moving. She just kept thinking the word endure over and over again. One endured what one had to, outlasted any conflict and survival became a viable option.
More than survival. Amarus eyes lit up a little, as if someone turned the switch back on inside her, as they stopped and sat together. Amarus leaned into Faustus with a concerned, and very tired sigh. She had succeeded at not harming anyone but herself. That merited a smile from the ghoul, whose essence had at least stopped pouring out. Her arms were still a little slick with the strange substance, though. "Make sure you don't get my blood on you," Amarus mumbled, holding onto Faustus as much as she could. The heat would never bother her; if anything, she liked it because it made her feel like she was alive again. "I don't know, they said something... about what happened... So we're... in quarantine?" She finally asked, unable to keep her own eyelids open.
"I just want to go back to my bed," she mumbled. Then, she realized how close she was to home, and straightened against Faustus a little. She managed to tilt her face up towards him, in order to say, "If they let us out of here, maybe you can see my pets-- one of them is a firelands wyvling, I think he would like you." Jin's wings also glowed with fire. "You could even use my bed to sleep on, Olivia; much more comfortable than this place... And Mea, we could probably find you food. Lots of food." Amarus was not used to this... hopeful thing. But now, it seemed like she understood its value.
Her hold on Faustus tightened. You shouldn't leave, Faussi, she thought, though she kept it to herself save her tightened hold. "If one or more of us falls asleep... we should all stay close," she addressed the others. Amarus tried to keep herself together, and awake, but so much had happened. She was beyond exhausted. And the only thing she seemed to have energy left to do was hold on. She still might have no soul, and no memories of her past, but at least one of her wishes had been granted. Even if it was something too sentimental for the ghoul to express outright, she had been given friends, and some part of her had been unlocked. The part that would allow her to get close to someone else, to care for someone. It was a gift which she could never repay.
Amarus smiled softly to herself, without saying a word. At least she knew who to thank.xoxomenai asahfaihdaih cute *dies* I love Faustus = x= kuumeii Just in case you wanna know what happened while you were gone <3 Kupuritama In case you still wanna come along with us ; u;

Quarantine, quarantine. Moving, shuffling, crying, demands. Thackery was vaguely aware that things were happening, that he himself was moving, but his mind was fixated on something. Something very wrong.
The feeling of Reine's arm clutched too tight in his hand.
Had she been crying? It seemed an eternity away now, somehow. A thing that might have happened in a dream and nothing more, but there was that sickening feeling of knowing those irrevocable actions really took place. Though dominated by whispers and angry gibberish, he recalled flashes of confronting her, of words that couldn't have been his own. The fog had done something to them, he knew, but it was no excuse for what he'd done.
He was a Cerberus. A guardian. And he'd harmed his charge.
There was a busy hum of students talking among each other, some commands that didn't register by a voice he didn't recognize. He was on the floor, but didn't know how he got there, the haze in his thoughts forcing every discomforting recollection to linger. Curling up, he buried his face in his knees, covered his head with his arms, and tried to make it all stop.
With soft sobs and quiet, mournful howls, he drifted towards the darkness.

Aisa's hand held a small hourglass-designed watch, closing it and opening it. Then closing. She could only think of home. This was not home, but the fact that they were forced to return here..
If the other members of the clan could stand it, Aisa certainly could as well. But Amytiville did not give her comfort, as it did to other students. However, what could give her comfort, beside's Medea's exclusive presence.. Her hand reached out, almost reaching towards the heir of Conquest but she withdrew it partway. She thought better of it. No.
Medea .. Alke .. Ylaria .. Eris.. Cym and Connie. Aisa, with a desperate tint, wondered who was left. Was anyone else left?

Invictus, ever attentive to his girls, noticed the gesture, frowning slightly as he reached back to take her hand, squeezing it knowingly. He knew that feeling she was suffering through - they were all feeling it. Their numbers had been decimated greatly.
They would manage somehow, however. There were enough to their numbers to rebuild. But he didn't want to tell them they'd be fine - he didn't know that for certain, yet. For the first time in his life, the fate of their clan was uncertain. He did, however, step to move closer to her, wrapping one arm around the heiress' shoulders and pressing his lips to her ear to whisper.
"We will find a way to build them all a home that is ours." he assured. They may not have been returning to Amityville as they were. Amityville would not do for their clan as they did for their own - it was a school, not a livelihood. There were those who would be too old or two experienced to go to that place. He would find another way. A better way for their people.

They were finally back home. Back where it was relatively safe... and yet he found he couldn't calm down. The voices were still very much present in his mind. Their constant buzzing of chatter wearing thin on his patience. Though just as the burning grey was intruding on his vision again, it stopped, vanishing completely. Gone. The grey was gone, even the voices were gone. Was it finally over?
Unfortunately, relief was short lived. Waiting for them in the forest was non other than the boogeymen. People whom Tybalt was beginning to grow to hate. Whenever they showed up, things tended to go from bad to worse and he highly doubted, considering what had just happened, that this case would be any different. He wouldn't even be surprised if there was some ulterior motive to them being here.
Though just as he thought they were going to let things slide, one of them began to examine what remained of Riley and began to yell loudly. Something about--
Quarantine!?
The black dog's hair bristled at the word. Why would they need to be put into quarantine for? They weren't the ******** plague!
Outraged, he felt his body tense. It was only by some miracle, given his current state of mind, that he managed to keep his temper in check and allowed them to guide them back to the school. Though 'guide' was hardly the word he'd use for it. If anything, this felt just like the hunters had done. They were herding them like Jacking animals! He had had enough of this bull s**t! Just punching someone wasn't enough anymore. He was seriously beginning to feel like he could kill someone.
Whether that was his own anger speaking, or the effects of the insanity still lingering in his mind, he couldn't tell. All he knew, was that he was worn out and he wanted this to end and end quickly. So by the time they had returned, it wasn't any surprise that he willingly allowed his consciousness to slip into darkness.

"Quarantine?" Nadia whispered dully, trying to remember what exactly the word meant. After a few second of thought the meaning finally surfaced in her mind, and Nadia felt a dull relief. She wasn't at all sure she was ready to face the outside world again, not after what happened. The Reaper was quite content to sleep and make sense of herself for the next few days.

Lailah traveled through the weeping forest, attempting to ignore the strange rusting of the trees and the disjointed murmurs of voices. She wrapped her hands about her ears, murmuring to herself for everyone to stop. Stop, please. Just stop! SHe might have screamed, if she had the energy left to scream.
When they arrived at the gates of Amityville, "Home.." The relief on the student's face was evident.
However, at the sight of Amityville, she felt nothing. Like Aisa, this was not her home. Amityville had never been or never will. Lailah floated forward with the crowd, plagued by a multitude of emotions-- guilt, anger, grief, relief.. She caught a glimpse of the horsemen, their determination and resilience, almost too painful to watch. She averted her eyes from the sight.
She did not possess such strength.
All she wanted to do was to be left alone. It would be much easier if she could just forget it all.. "To forget.." She echoed, her voice growing fainter. Her movements faltered, as her form grew more transparent and distorted. Without a warning, she fell to the ground.
Sweet, dark oblivion..

Everything was gone but even after hearing Medea announce that it was time to return back to Halloween, it was strange to be standing back in the Weeping Forest like nothing had happened. Lucien recognized everything so well but at the same time everything felt... distant. Everything felt foreign. The ground looked strange to Lucien, soon quavering and shaking before splitting into two. The world was going grey and then suddenly it was normal again.
Shaking his head, Lucien's hands fell over it. He wasn't quite right yet, was he? He was a little too concerned about that to notice the Bogeymen right away, not even noticing their examination of Riley or even their suggestion of the quarantine. He just stood there, his eyes firmly on the ground as if by doing so everything would remain normal. It made it easy for Lucien to be pushed back and then forward. He was dragged around without any of a fight or question.
He didn't seem to even realize he was back at Amityville right away, his eyes sort of recognizing the ground enough to look up just a smidgen. Perhaps it was because the distractions in his head had toned down just a bit, and that slowly Lucien found himself able to focus a bit again. Although focus was never a big word for Lucien, just a little bit was great progress for the air spirit. It was enough now that he was able to recognize where they stood.
"The gymnasium...?" He questioned, a yawn slipping from his lips.
Every minute he was back here Lucien's thoughts began forming a bit more clearly. His thoughts were clear enough that a mild look of concern was washed over his face as he looked around half dazed. He had to find Israfel, and Shehk. Did he see Tybalt there too? He needed to find his friends and make sure they had all made it back safely as well. He didn't follow through with it though because now his head was clear enough to hear it. The word. What did they mean quarantined? Would they be here a long time? He didn't get an answer to that question, his eyes slowly lowering. He found himself pressing against one of the walls as his eyes finally closed. The last thing he heard was something he didn't understand. Maybe after this nap it would make sense.
Maybe he'd wake up and everything would be better.

...She was back...?
Poke couldn't believe she had returned to Halloween. It felt so...surreal, to be back here after so much had happened. She stumbled along after the group, disoriented and dead on her feet.
The last moments of the battle were a blue to the dragon ghoul. She could remember the phoenix, crumbling away, and then feeling angry. She wanted to lash out at everyone and everything. And then, the phoenix...a barrage of voices, and it was gone.
Now she was being pushed around by various Boogeyman, herded towards the Amityville school grounds. There was the countless talk of quarantine, and she briefly saw the statue of Riley taken away. The thought of stopping them were in her head, but her body wouldn't respond to her commands. Everything felt heavy. The hum of voices in her head would sometimes lessen, then suddenly grow louder. She would feel the ground move between her feet, but just as quickly as it came, the ground will grow still, and the voices grow weaker.
She wondered if Mitsu, Shun and Xiu were alright. In the chaos of battle, she hadn't seen them, nor been able to seek them out. The thought nagged at her conscience. Shouldn't she have backed them up? But even those thoughts were getting hazy, she was just to tired to do anything...
Her mind soon fell into the sweet bliss of unconsciousness.

One moment, he had been backing away from Yin, watching the other boil carefully, suspicion plain in his gaze as the other boil followed him. He was done with this stupid game they had been playing, done with wasting each others time. He had humans to kill. Except that the humans were gone, they had stumbled off, through their own portal, following the insane phoenix, so that all that remained were students and horsemen. Alex had stopped moving, had stopped his slow retreat away from the boil he called his bonded, the rage still pounding away at him, thrumming through his brain. Every face he had looked at made his lip curl back in snarl, made him want to growl, made him want attack and cause them pain. A bell had chimed through the air then, and it was like something that had been grasping so tightly to his brain finally let go. He had a moment of absolute clarity again, though with the sudden sense of relief was combined with horror. Horror at all the things he had thought while in the thralls of his anger, of all the friends he had wanted to hurt. He had hated everyone, even the one person that...but he could never...not to him. But he had somehow managed to keep himself from hurting him, he remembered fighting against himself. Physically at least, but who knew what mental wounds they both might be suffering from. He didn't believe anymore that Yin didn't want him, that something had driven them both to act so uncharacteristically. He felt an overwhelming sense of guilt then, and it was clear, in the way his shoulders slumped, in the way his face practically crumbled, he was sorry. They were told that it was time to go, to go back to Halloween. That's where home was, though the word 'home' made him flinch mentally. Home would never be the same now. As everyone began to stir, began to make their way towards the portal, Alex moved to fall into step beside Yin, though he didn't know what to say, and he was too frightened to speak. He didn't know if he could trust himself to say the right things, if there was even anything right he could say anymore. Through the portal, and on the other side, a familiar place, though something was different. The whispers had returned, and Alex squeezed his eyes shut. Nonono please just stop... And his hand reached out, of it's own accord, attempting to grab ahold of Yin's, as though he were reaching for a lifeline, something to keep him tethered to reality. His fingers brushed against the other boils hand, and open invitation, when the whispering stopped. With a shaking, rattling intake of breath Alex reopened his eyes, only to finally notice they were surrounded by boogeymen, and a word was being tossed around. Quarantine. If Alex wasn't already holding Yin's hand he was grasping for it now, because that one word felt ominous, felt like they were going to be separated, and he couldn't have that, not again, not after everything. He needed to stay with him, needed to know they could both be okay after everything. They were being pushed forward, herded along, and Alexander began to feel dizzy. What was that sound? His head whipped to the side, only to find an empty space. Nauseated, tired, full of hurt and regret, frightened, He trudged along with the other students until they'd reached the gates of Amityville, until they were pushed along further still to a fenced off enclosure. Tired, he was so tired, but he fought against it. Zombies didn't sleep, they didn't need it. But this was different, this was a mental exhaustion like none he'd ever experienced before and his eyelids were heavy, like they were being pulled down by lead weights. He couldn't seem to stop it, though he continued to trudge along, keeping himself close to Yin, the insecurities still gnawing away inside but he was too tired to pay them any mind right now. "Yin?" He murmured quietly, finally speaking, for the first time since the hunters had gone. "Please stay with me, I don't want to be alone." Did he mean for tonight, or did he mean forever afterwards? Maybe he meant both, as he finally found himself collapsing to the ground, back pressed up against the fence as he leaned his head back. Voices in the distance, but he could barely make them out, could barely discern them from the faint whisperings that he thought he could still hear, but maybe that was just paranoia. His eyelids fluttered shut one last time, the last thing he had been looking at was his bonded, before he drifted off into darkness.

She was back? Tess couldn't believe it. She survived the phoenix's attack and the Hunters' snares and was none the worse for wear. She wondered how this would look, whether the other students would question whether or not she joined in the fray or if she simply hid away. Like some sort of coward. She chewed on her lower lip, uncertain and uneasy, crimson eyes darting over her shoulders every now and again, wondering who was whispering but sure it was about her.
And where was Sheridan? The ghoul's wings flapped silently as she tried to search for the dragon boil, did he think ill of her for what she'd done? Or rather what little she'd done? Eventually, she succumbed to her exhaustion, hearing things about quarantines and and a message being sent. Settling against a familiar sensation of cool scales and the glimmer of stars.

It was a little strange to being back, but he was back in his humanoid form as some of his anger was still just at the surface but he was very tired and still really confused to what had all happened with those strange reapers and the destruction of the horseman's homes. Adiyan didn't at all fight when the Boogeymen herded them since he didn't have to think much just follow the rest of the students.
Still sorta hearing muffled voices but he was too tried to try and sort them out but he was still mad, but that didn't mater since Adiyan's mind fell into unconsciousness and growling ever so slight when that happened.
