Following closely behind Luke was a slightly hunched over figure with blonde hair and nervous green eyes. Emil was painfully shy, and approaching a group of people he didn't know was a bit unnerving. But he followed his friend regardless. He'd heard about them after all, and they didn't sound all that bad. Still that didn't stop the boy from being terribly timid.
While Luke had Mieu, Emil held Danish in his arms. Glad to have her there to keep him from fidgeting too much. The little Igglybuff could feel the nervous energy radiating from her human companion and patted his arm reassuringly. "Iggly buff buff."
When they finally walked up to the gathering though, Emil half hid behind Luke... although trying not to make it too obvious that he was hiding. He just kept his distance for the moment, and didn't say anything.

Guy returned Dith's grin, but his smile disappeared momentarily as he heard an unfamiliar voice behind them. Turning around, he saw a snappily-dressed man with a smirk on his face. Guy frowned slightly at the man's words, unsure if he was supposed to be mocking them or not. He glanced over at Miss Rosie as she replied to the newcomer, and once she was finished, he took a small step forward, addressing the mystery man. "You're not intruding on anything. This festival is for everybody to enjoy."
Another voice joined the group - a distinctly female voice - causing Guy to flinch and spin around, but he stopped once he saw the owner of the voice. It was none other than Ivory, whom he had seen earlier. A friendly smile returned to his lips as he greeted her. "Oh, Ivory! It's nice to see you." In response to the question about her Ditto, Guy glanced around to try to spot the white blob, and he saw her socializing over by Paleman and Pastin. Turning back to Ivory, he jabbed his thumb over in the direction of the Pokemon. "It looks like she's over there with the others."
It seemed like everyone was arriving now, for Guy just heard the excited cry of Mieu followed by Luke's greeting. Guy gave his oldest friend a mock salute in reply, and then he caught sight of Emil right behind the red-head. He gave the shy young man a friendly smile. "Hey there, Emil. I didn't expect to see you here."
Paleman continued to shrink away from the scary white blob, but he stopped when she gave him an apology. She... apologized... to him? He hardly ever got apologies from others! Should he... Should he say something back? Should he forgive her? Why did this have to be so difficult?! ["...I... forgive... y-you..."] he said, slowly and hesitantly. Did he do that right? Was she going to be mad at him? Ooooh, this was all going to terribly wrong! When the Ditto proclaimed that she wanted to be friends, Paleman stared at her in unabashed shock. She... wanted to be... friends? With him? Was... Was she serious? Could he really trust her? ["You... wanna be friends... with me?"]

Dith (big guy, apparently) was joking? No s**t, blondie. KO grinned at the expanding group, assessing each one of them carefully in order to decide on a target. Most of them looked a little too young for his tastes, but the two tall blond men (one rather taller than the other) had potential. After a few more moments of weighing up his options, he turned to Guy. "Still, I wouldn't want to intrude if you'd come here looking to spend some quality time with somebody here." He wasn't acting as though he was here with somebody, which was always a plus; jealous boyfriends tended to punch, and jealous girlfriends slapped or, even worse, scratched.

...Oookay, the red-head was hitting on Guy, at least he was pretty sure he was. Well, so long as he didn't make Guy feel too awkward there was no harm. Keeping one eye on the situation (metaphorically) Dith turned to the newcomers, who seemed to be known to at least some of the group already. "Hey there Luke!" he greeted the familiar face first, before moving on to; "Hello Ivory, pleased to meet you, and Emil was it?" he offered another friendly smile to the young man who seemed to be trying to hide himself behind Luke. "My name is Dimitry, but most people call me Dith, up to you what you want to call me so long as I know it's me." Giving people this option occasionally led to names like Goldilocks, but he was prepared to take a joke if it entertained other people.

(OOC: I am going to hold off on an Opal post for now cuz I wanna wait for Pastin <3 )
It was hard for Ivory to recognize someone by sight at times, so it was well appreciated that a familiar voice called out to grab her attention. Feigning a small bit of ignorance, the girl replied back with a playful smile "Guy, is that you?" She twirled her parasol in a small circle as she glanced to his direction. He stuck his thumb out and gave her a bit of insight on what had become of Opal.
"Oh... she's with other Pokemon?" It sounded about right, and the girl spared a glance towards the white blob and the other blurs keeping her company. "I hope she's being a good girl! Not that she's ever really naughty... sometimes she just... well... forgets to mind her manners..."
That was perhaps the best explanation she'd be able to come up with for now. With a half chuckle, she then turned to a giant of a man. With the sort of introduction he gave, she couldn't resist asking about what she could call him.
"...Would it be okay if I just called you tall?" He had to be at least a foot taller than her. She imagined if she was standing immediately next to him and were to look up, her neck would probably get very stiff from the angle.

"Nice to meet you, Viktor!" Ty told the Espeon happily, beaming at him. "I think it's great that you don't care what you're called. That means you're confident and secure enough about yourself to not worry about what others think of you!"
Fathom thought this was a little long-winded, particularly for what he deemed a naturally obvious statement. However, he started to wonder if maybe he was just starting to get jealous of his trainer's doting on Viktor. Best not to think about it - she'd surely pay attention to her own pokemon again later. It wasn't like Ty could survive without him, after all. he repeated, shocked at the expanse of time. He peered up at Dith admiringly before sharing the same look of awe with the elegant Espeon.
Listening patiently as Guy answered her question, the restless girl's attention began to wander as Rosie and Dith dicussed the possible interpertations of reasons behind the festivities. She failed to notice Guy's subtle reaction after she hugged Rosie, growing more curious about the other pokemon in attendance. Several seemed to be very familiar with one another, confirming their trainers' frequent meetings. However, a few lingered a bit on the sidelines, looking slightly intimidated, occupied with other things, or just not of the socializing sort. But as soon as that friendly white ditto joined the others, the girl's concerns vanished. They were sure to get along with a pokemon as enthusiastic and open as her around. Rosie had called her Opal.
Tymiko hardly had time to establish who knew who as more newcomers joined them. She was unfamiliar with almost all of them, and while she was eager to learn more about the others, doing so in a social gathering like this made things difficult. People tended to be clustered in groups or lost in crowds so it was hard to get to know someone personally. The girl valued one-on-one discussions more than group talk because she felt it was less likely that everyone would be listening to each other and the chances of miscommunication were higher. Perhaps later she could figure out these strangers better.
Already the others' attention was shifting from one new trainer to another. Ty had long since abandoned the attempt to keep up with names and faces. She could always find out about them later after all, right? But the man in red seemed particularly distinct from the others. He had a very...self-important air about him that most of the others seemed to lack, especially the hesitant, white-haired young woman and the timid, blond young man. The water trainer didn't like his arrogance. She may not have realized that he was potentially hitting on Guy with his comment, but the girl knew enough to get the jist of what the stranger meant by 'quality time with somebody'. Ty made a face.
"Blech! Yuck!" she cried, openly declaring her disgust. If this man was bold enough to imply gross, grown-up things like relationships, then she wasn't about to keep her own thoughts to herself for politeness' sake. "This festival is for trainers to have fun, not for couples to be all...lovey-dovey." She shuddered. "If that's what you came here for, might as well pick another park or another time. There are innocent eyes and ears here!"
Tymiko spoke feverently like she truly believed that something as trivial as the sight of a couple kissing would be enough to mentally scar a child for life. Having had her say, the girl dropped down onto the grass right where she had stood. She lay there to watch the pokemon as well as the rest of the spring festivities taking place nearby. Basking in the warm sunshine, she kicked off her flip-flops in order to feel the grass between her toes. If anyone needed her or wanted to talk, at least they'd know where she was. In the meantime she was just content to simply listen and observe.
Fathom, on the other hand, was not about to let this oppertunity go to waste. So many new pokemon and so many different types! Up until now, he'd mostly only known those that dwelled by or in the sea. In contrast, the majority of the ones here seemed to be fire-types which greatly intrigued the Vaporeon. He had been especially impressed by his little battle with Repede, if not so happy to get burned. Now seemed more like a time to enjoy one another's company rather than show off one's skills, though. That pale pig pokemon was definately an individual of interest.
At the moment the Pignite was being addressed by the cheerful, if hyperactive, ditto. Beside the pig pokemon stood a tall Rapidash of unusual, dappled coloring. Not far from that trio was a heart-cheeked Raichu and a flustered-looking...lamp-ghost thing. Fathom wasn't entirely sure. With an expression of bewildered amusement, the Vaporeon looked helplessly toward Viktor who had joined them on the ground some time ago.
