She rather did hope he'd say yes to both. Sure, Team Rocket definitely had the technology, know-how and documentation on how to clone pokemon, however, to a grunt, access could be somewhat limited and any help and 'head starts' were a definite boon to making the project work. "Oh, thanks. That's exactly what I wanted to hear... I mean. I've messed around wi' the simpler stuff and I've been reading up on theory. I doubt we'd get access t' the latest, fancy stuff, though, so two heads t' mull it over is better than one... I'll get a form rattled off an' apply for a few short term permissions... I'm pretty sure we'll have t' do it 'off-the-clock' though..." She stopped and blinked at the cry from where the pokemon were playing. "Noisy game..." The cry made Pygi blink and stop. She hadn't been burned and she hadn't been trying to hurt the Ponyta either, but there was that yelp. It might have been unwise, but she landed. <>Lasi was just catching up with them.

"You're welcome," Rory replied. The more he thought about, the more he slightly questioned what he had gotten himself into. He had attempted to read up on the mechanical and theoretical side of cloning pokemon when he had been accepted to work in the labs, but most of the terminology had gone over his head. The physical side, the mutation of pokemon DNA, he understood from his childhood and the breeding lessons from his father.
"It will probably be easier on us if we do have to do it 'off-the-clock', that way we aren't getting in the others' way....." He was about to continue on when he heard Pinkie yelp and his eyes automatically snapped over to where she was.
Pinkie looked at her tail and at the bird that had landed on the ground.
[I..I'm fine,] Pinkie replied shakily, [I just wasn't expecting it. I'm sorry! I still want to play though!] She hadn't meant to startle Pygi and hoped she wouldn't call their game off because of her reaction.

"Oh,definitely." Tambrey agreed, taking a few steps forward to peer at where the pokemon were. Well, neither Pygi nor Lasi would hurt anything deliberately, unless instructed to in a battle, and that didn't look like a battle to her. Hmm. "It'll make it easier t' concentrate on the more complex stuff, too."
Palu had awoken at the yelp and was also peering at the location of the game. She squawked out a questioning cry to Pygi, asking if everything was alright.
Pygi tilted her head at the Ponyta's reply; a bit shaky even after. Still, apparently she wanted to continue the game. Lasi flapped overhead, waiting to see what was decided. <> The little bird suggested; after all, Lasi didn't have a tail, so he'd been having an advantage there. She caught her mother's question then and called back in kind, letting her know things were fine.

Rory nodded absentmindedly as he watched to see what had happened during the three pokemons' game. "Yea, that sounds great."
It wasn't until he seen that Pinkie was okay and that the pokemon were resolving whatever had happened between themselves that he relaxed.
[Yeah no tail!] Pinkie responded easily and slightly smiled before looking at the pink Golbat. [Then Lasi doesn't have the advantage anymore!!]

Lasi frowned at the 'no tail' rule; that was how he usually made a tag! Those extra bits on other pokemon were so useful, especially when he didn't have one. That /did/ make the game more fair though... More of a challenge for him, maybe! So it would be even more impressive when he 'won'! <> He agreed brightly now. Pygi, if it had been possible, might have been smirking as she revealed her next piece of information. <>
"Seems noisy over there, but my lot tend t' be; don't worry, they're not rough. Especially the bird out there- don't think she even really likes battling all that much..." Tambrey offered, following his gaze.
Reassured, Palu had gone back to sleep.

Rory didn't relax until he was sure the pokemon had gotten whatever incident under control by themselves.
"I just hate hearing her scream like that." he sighed and debated calling Pinkie back to her ball. He probably needed to get inside soon anyway.
He pulled her ball off of his belt and recalled his pokemon. "Thanks for letting them play with her and for the opportunity to help you out. When you need me, just come by my room to get me."

Tambrey nodded. "I can understand that. She's lucky that you care so much, though, y'know, don't become too overprotective; that could end up unhealthy for you both and you know, I'm sure, what that's like." She offered, carefully, still smiling softly. Sure, she understood his reasons and wasn't going to say he was wrong- people raised their pokemon in the way they deemed right, after all- but she knew he'd likely have seen overprotective trainers during contests.
"You're welcome though, for both; 'm looking forward to working with you and I know my two," She looked over to where the two pokemon were slowly winging their way back in following the disappearance of their new friend "really seemed to enjoy playing with Pinkie out there. My offer f'r playmates stands and, sure, I'll venture by once I've sent off and received back the permission forms; 'm sure it won't take too long." The dark-haired grunt smiled; she intended to stay out for just a little longer, with water and sunscreen.

Rory sighed again. "Yeah I know. It's just hard to remember sometimes." He offered his hand out as a friendly gesture.
"I'll have to take you up on the playmate offer soon." He didn't want to keep Pinkie away from any possible friends. Besides she seemed to get along with the female grunt's flying types really well, who was he to get in the way of that?
