He half-nodded to the sled. “Could you help me pull this?” Wilson asked. He tugged at the sled lightly before finally attempting to pull it earnestly. Huh. With another person helping the burden actually wasn’t as heavy as he imagined it would be. That was fortunate. After a while, he decided to check his FEAR scanner again.
Both eyebrows were raised when he doublechecked the reading. He heard Aleister ask the doctor about the readings and Wilson nodded his head silently before going back to pulling his head. "Over a hundred? Seems..unusual," he muttered. But considering the fact that they were going against a Titan? Maybe not.

Sasha chewed on the doctor's words for a good long while, sending surreptitious glances in his direction every now and again. When she finally decided to speak the words flowed almost reluctantly off of her tongue.
"It's.. none of my business, sir. I just.. I guess I just needed to um." She shook her head and peered up at him. He was being honest with her, and Sasha could appreciate honesty - even if she didn't really like what she heard. Well, most of what she heard. "I needed to hear it from you, sir."
She chewed on the last bit of lozenge, idly scratching her cheek.
"I guess it um. Kind of explains why people thought I was crazy when I said nice things about you, sir." Sasha offered him a half-smile, a breathy laugh before she shook her head.

Ami helped Wilson pulled out the sled by going on the other side and giving it a good tug. Not bad, not bad. It was certainly moving, however slowly.
When Wilson looked at his FEAR scanner, Ami took a moment to look at her own. Were the high numbers a bad thing? She always sort of assumed they just fluxed between "no FEAR here!" and "GET THE ******** OUT OF THE WAY." Right now it looked more like the latter- that is, if high numbers were bad. Were they?
She looked up at Wilson and said, "Is over 100 bad? Is that what those numbers mean?" s**t she sounded like an idiot now, didn't she. "Uhhh ... I mean I've never used this ... err. Brand of scanner." Brand of scanner. Kill her now.

The doctor just gave Aleister a toothy, cheshire smile and a simple, "Yes." Turning back to Sasha, his expression grew warmer, and he placed a hand on top of her head, "Nice things you say? Well, I don't think that's crazy, just...once again, a matter of perspective. There is merit in basing opinions on what you yourself know, as opposed to second and third hand accounts, Sasha. Don't think less of yourself for not coming to a conclusion based on mere rumors, hm?"

Sasha couldn't help it; she beamed at the man despite the fact that he'd just admitted that he was probably guilty of all the things Sasha had heard. She didn't really need to know the specifics; with so many ears around, the last thing that Sasha wanted to do was to embarrass Jerry or Candace. Sasha wasn't the type to frivolously spread gossip; she'd gotten the answer to the question she'd asked in a roundabout sort of way. That was good enough for her. He'd never done her any harm and he'd even said he never would. In fact, he'd never been anything but warm and gentle with her.
Sasha shrugged, still smiling at the doctor.
"Thank you, sir. For your time. Oh! And ah.. for the music. It really helped."
She hummed for a moment. "The battery ran out, but. Jerry sang, and it was almost as good."

"I feel like Balto," Harrison grumbled, dragging the other part of the sled and sludging through the snow beside Marcus. At least there weren't any bugs.
Not like that was going to matter if his face froze off.
...Although really, if he had to choose, he'd pick frostbite every time.

"Hmmm...you liked it? I rather though you might. With such large things looming on the horizon, there's something comforting in being able to lose yourself a bit in complicated, technical perfection that leads to a rather beautiful whole." The mention of Jerry had him cocking an eyebrow, "Yes, I've heard you two made a rather wonderful start with your music group."

Sasha's smile brightened.
"Well, he's .." Sasha coughed. Loudly. "Ahh, well. Yes, we had quite the showing for tryouts. It's nice, I think. So people have something ...fun. I guess." She tugged on the lobe of her ear. Jerry probably wasn't the safest topic.
"It was lovely, the music on the player you packed for me, sir. It helped me very much, like I said."
Sasha suddenly gave a giddy clap of her hands.
"Oh! The next time everyone comes together for music, you should come, doctor. I've gotten my flute back, and I intend to play it - I just wish I'd remembered to bring it with me.. I don't.. I didn't think we'd be away from the island for so long."

Leon almost wanted to snort when H openly admitted to the rumors about himself. Lets face the facts, he totally did.
He didn't mean to keep an open ear and eavesdrop on the conversation, but it was all about keeping alert and ears and hearing was part of the process. So was watching the barren landscape.
Still it gave the stoic faced hunter a chance to properly mull over the info from the briefing. "So Superior H." leon began in his ever so serious way with his leader. " Will we be taking back samples of this specimen for analysis as well?" he asked curiously. It wasn't often that such a encounter occurred.

"Balto had a sequel. We might not even get a chance at one." Balto? A movie about a dog and sleds and saving a little girl who is sick. Sounds painfully boring. It was a kids movie. Dig around in my brain if you're so interested. Nah, I'll stick to trying to make you think about Cass naked. I like those thoughts much better. Marcus sighed. "Do you ever wish your weapon would just be quiet? I get that Dis is trying to keep my mind occupied but the dude is seriously going about it in the wrong way." Dragging the sled was no problems, but one would think they would have snow mobiles. "Could be worse though."

"I'm glad it reached you, my dear, I-" the doctor cut off at Leon's question. Offering the former boxer a sardonic look at the title, Superior indeed, he replied, "Several hunter groups did bring a few samples in from their earlier encounters, and more is always to be desired. However, the scope and limited time frame means that anything beyond retrieving the artifact should be considered a luxury. Well enough if you're able, but keep your priorities in mind, hm?"

Cass offered Aleister a faint smile.
"Yeah, I'm holding up OK. Just..trying to make myself useful," because hitting Julie had not been useful, "and keep my head up. I've got stuff to look forward to if we all survive this." She hoped it would be them all too, because this sounded like they were going into the Dragon's den, and Cass found herself passing a very sad look in Marcus's direction.

He was glad it reached her? Sasha shot Leon a brief glance, quieting when he spoke. She wanted to know what the doctor had been about to say, but in all honesty she'd probably taken up too much of the doctor's time as it was. Rubbing her lips together, Sasha listened to the doctor's response.
Right. This wasn't a social call, this was a mission - and an important one at that. With a soft clearing of her throat, Sasha fell silent as she trudged along in the snow.

Oh the currency of trust. It was one in which Mercedes relied so much on yet always yielded to practice herself. Trust your peers, trust your colleagues, and always keep an eye on those who held power over you. For miss Chenoweth making your enemies your friends was a strategy shed upheld many times before.
And yet.. The dr. Nothing about him made her even WANT to go there. She could count her blessings in that she was a mist and not an unfortunate life division, but H was also just bad vibe land.
Her fellow mist Cass was in close enough proximity that she chose to sort of distance herself from the group talking to the life leader. Hopefully she wouldn't look like too much of a slacker.

Keeping an eye on the scanner, Ryan carefully picked his way through the snow. Using a trail that was already cut by several others to preserve his strength instead of wasting it by making one of his own. He wasn't sure what to watch out for with his scanner, or what sort of levels the scanners even went by. All he knew was that the higher the numbers got, the more Fear that was in the area. Not a comforting thought considering the numbers were already starting to reach triple digits.
Looking up briefly from the steadily rising numbers, he spotted one particular face out of the group he had been looking for. Shuffled his way through the snow, moving closer to where the other trainee was. Happy that he finally got the chance to say this after their little debate earlier.
"Told you it wasn't a kraken." He said, coming up to walk beside Dakota, still keeping his eyes on the scanner as he jabbed the other moon trainee with his elbow. "You've been humbled."
(( Rolled the wrong amount XD;; Ignore the dice roll. ))
