It was true. Many who held the answers seemed to not want to give them in their entirety. It was a little annoying really. Nodding to Mitsu, he soon glanced up as he heard some footsteps approaching. In hindsight, he probably should have sat in a way so that his good eye wasn't towards the wall.. But it was just the waitress coming with the apple tart pastries.
Nodding to her, he looked at the food. It looked pretty good actually. Taking one, he paused while he glanced it over idly.
"Hopefully, it won't be anything too crazy, once we get to the bottom of things. I will have to try and see if I can find anything as well. Though if it's all in the texts.. I'll be a bit out of luck.."

Mitsu's ears had perked at the sound of approaching footsteps but noting from the sound of light heels and a slow pace it wasn't anyone to worry about. Also noted when the pastries were placed on the table. Mitsu finally looked up and nodded her thanks then looking to the apple tart suddenly not hungry. She would have to take it back for later.
"I'm really not sure what else there is to find though Death Isle is a big place. There is a lot underground. I got lost a fair bit. That's where I found the room of mirrors with Hel and Sabine." She didn't want to talk much about the mirrors and left it at that. The version of herself covered in grey...in insanity like Red was rather disturbing. Insanity her had been crazed and violent but ended up doing more damage to herself than Mitsu could do to her to get her away.

Shun went ahead and took a bite of the tart. It was pretty good actually. Though, he set it down after that to focus his attention a little more on the girl. She didn't seem really comfortable with bringing up the mirror room. He had to wonder just what happened in there. A part of him also wondered if it was like the one room in the Haunted House. That... had been a pain to deal with.
"I see. By the way... Who is Sabine exactly?" he asked curiously. It was also a little topic switch since he didn't want to make Mitsu too uncomfortable. He didn't want her mood to be low, especially not right now.
It was mostly his fault too.

Mitsu seemed a little confused by the sudden subject change, her eyes regarding Shun for a moment before she grasped onto the topic trying not to hesitate. "S-Sabine. Oh uh, I'm not sure I just met her on the trip. She's...nice?" Hel didn't seem to like her but Mitsu really couldn't say anything bad about the vampire.
"She's a vampire with long red hair...lots of jewelry," Which was why she was probably on Death Isle. "She uses weird words I haven't heard before. Creepsta and...Freaka...something." Mitsu couldn't seem to recall. It hadn't seemed important to put those words to memory apparently. "I think she's really into fashion."

"...I see," Shun blinked as Mitsu described Sabine some. She... certainly sounded interesting. He supposed so anyway. A part of him was wondering exactly how she ended up hanging around someone like that. Shaking his head lightly at this odd image of a vampire that he had in his mind, he furrowed his brow as he noticed the girl not touching her tart at all.
"Well, at least you.. made a new friend it seems?"

"I guess so?" Mitsu wasn't entirely sure but she wouldn't entirely mind having Sabine around. Maybe the ghoul would eventually get her name right.
"So how is the apple tart?" Mitsu asked poking at hers lightly. She wanted to try it but was no longer hungry.

Shun looked at the tart for the moment, noticing that she was just kind of poking hers lightly.
"It is pretty good. You should have some of yours," he said quietly. She had been excited about the desserts so it was a little disheartening to see her like this right now. He was going to need to try and come up with some way to lift her spirits before they had to leave again. Separating from her while she was down didn't sit well with him.

"I think I'll save it for a bit later," It looked really good she was just afraid it wouldn't taste quite right with how she was feeling.
"So how was the rest of your trip? You learned about making knifes," Mitsu looked the one over in her hand. It hadn't been crafted by her reaper but she wondered if he could make something similar. "What else did you learn?"

Frowning lightly, Shun let out a sigh before going ahead to take another bite of his tart.
"Yes.. and well.. As far as skills go, I didn't learn too much else. It was all like one big training exercise for me. The main topic was combat. We started with meditation, then from there we had to utilize our environments as weapons. Then it moved on to actual weapons; while I was not allowed to use my own, I still ended up wielding a dagger," he replied.

"You didn't have too much trouble with your injury did you?" Mitsu asked once again looking to his injured eye.
Her fingers lifted her tea again managing to at least take another sip of that. It had cooled a bit since she had last tried though the tingling sensation in her mouth was still there from the burn.

Shifting a bit, Shun thought on that question some. He did not like to admit having trouble with much of anything really.
"Fighting with it was difficult. Some opponents liked to take advantage of my greater blind spot. It is something I will need to train for more. I know that much," he said quietly before drinking more of his tea.

"We can work on that if you like," There was no way to restore his eye but Mitsu would do what she could to help him cope. "My brother's hearing often compensated for what he couldn't see. Your hearing is a little different I imagine but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use the same methods. It might even be easier if we cover your good eye so that you can get used to using your ears instead of your vision."
Mitsu herself relied fairly heavily on what she could hear opposed to what she could see. A trait she had picked up from her brother. If she could get Shun to the pin point and picking up on subtle sounds and movements with his hearing alone then it would be difficult to take advantage of his blind spot.

There was a sort of curious light in Shun's eye as Mitsu offered up a potential work around to dealing with his left side. His ears weren't as strong as hers. He knew that much. But.. perhaps he might be able to do something about that still.
"I would like that. I will also need a lot of combat training in general. If you'd like to work with me on that, I would greatly appreciate it," he nodded.

"I will do my best," Mitsu nodded, though combat wasn't her strong suit. She was strong but that didn't equal out to skill. The lycan would still be able to help him work around his new weak point but she worried if she could really help him improve in combat.
"I think once you learn to pick up things with your hearing you'll notice a lot more than you do now."

Shun supposed this made sense. Right now he relied pretty heavily on his eyesight. His hearing wasn't bad, but it was really his vision that got him around and it was what his perception mostly used. Using a second sense would only add to that.
"Thank you then.." he whispered.
