Ah, see that updated between yesterday and Wednesday for me , I only checked on the Japanese sales today. But that's even better, this game MUST come to the states, I believe they should even give Fire Emblem characters a chance to be an independent fighting style game, but that's just me.

I think the game will come to the U.S- NoA registered a Fire Emblem Awakening domain name recently, and they probably wouldn't do that if there wasn't any plans of releasing it.
I'm excited for Roy's new look, as well as Ephraim's.... Elincia's is okay, but I was kind of disappointed at the same time because in the tellius games she looked like a mature woman, while the art and outfit of this game makes her look younger and more immature.... At least to me.
And I absolutely hate Micaiah's new outfit. Her outfit was gorgeous before, and I know they took out light mages- or so I've heard- but considering her character's backstory, turning her into a darkmage is just odd.... Not only that, but her outfit went from being gorgeous, to over the top 'moe' and sexy.... I mean, putting aside the fact that she wasn't my favorite in RD, I still feel like that outfit is a disgrace to her character.
Of course, that's all personal opinions. o-o

I can't face the DARK without you! ...Is the One that can never be. Not going to lie. I like how the artist is making the Swordsmaster similar to the Easter warriors (aka: Samurai, Eastern Swordsfighter.) I like the outfit design on Celice. However... I really don't like how the art presents itself as the DLC. The color seems too flashy for me. And I don't like how Celice's face is drew. It looks like someone took Link's face from Zelda and pasted it on another body and called it Celice. >>; Wish I knew what anime/manga/ video game this Rika Suzuki drew.

I'm "eh" on the outfit-- although that whole "peacock" thing is a bit off-throwing.. and I'm not quite sure on the whole Samurai get up... (Although, I find some fridge hilarity in it... in Soul Calibur 5... one of Mitsurugi's weapons was "Tyrfing"... and now I find Celice is going to be a Swordmaster who looks like a Samurai. (BRB... making Celice in SC5-- he'll join Shanan and Sylvia. (And totally not Camus, cause he's ****ing Sirius.))
Honestly, the first thing I thought of when I saw that face was Mia from PoR/RD... like someone melded Celice and Mia and made the result angry... Either way, the face is very... umm... off. Not that he's any less of a trap or anything.

So I just discovered that among Ephraim's DLC there's Petrine, Navarre, Lloyd, Sephiran, Black Knight, Ashnard, Lyon. A friggin' army of my bad guy babies who don't get enough love! XD ...Also velvet can have a conversation with Zihark in one of the DLC maps- which must be interesting. I hope to find some video of that. ^^ enemies in Ephraim's DLC map

The way I see it, they had to do something with the Light Mages, and they did a similar treatment to Diadora (who's the same class as Mic, and is an earlier released spot pass character)- made her a Dark Mage-- they didn't follow up on Yuria, but with the way Spot Pass/DLC enemies flip their classes, I wouldn't be surprised if Yuria's a dark spamming Sorc on Celice's DLC... giving them access to Nosferatu/Resire is fairly good. As far as her costume goes, Mic's is pretty much just the same as the Dark Mage's all around, but beyond that, it looks almost exactly like her Tier 2 did anyways (I seriously though when I saw it that "oh look Tier 2 Mic", nothing really else, till I noticed the "lol boob window") Overall, I don't dislike any of the DLC art yet, although "Samurai Celice" would have to be my least favorite, because of the face and peacock thing. (I'm also not to big on Leaf's... but he's got SS's art. And I didn't ever really like that.) On a different note: Dear god (or gods... or Arceus) ... May someone please... silence... her... before she kills us all... There's nothing left to lose..!

Dude what? Leaf's is seriously the best.... FE8's artist did so awesomely with him I cannot even put into words how good Leaf looks. The pose, the colors, how can that not be liked I don't understand.

I've just never liked that person's art style. Not saying it's bad, but I don't like it. It's a personal opinion thing.

It seems to be only the female designs I have a problem with so far... Which is weird, because I've been paying far more attention to the male ones. Overall though, I like the new artwork, and since even the worst artwork isn't horrendously painful to look at, it won't stop me from buying the game. Outfits aren't enough to scare me away, and although I don't very much like Micaiah's outfit, it's not the first time in FE that female characters are given skimpy fantasy outfits.
Nephenee and Erika are two that come to mind- it just seems to be a trend with FE XD
My personal favorite FE artist was the one that did the Tellius games- I liked the general style of it.

The HELL. You guys went talking about the artwork without me. Just saw Celice, since I just got home. I think it's a cool idea to dress Celice in a swordsmaster-samurai getup at least in concept. But this outfit seems a bit pointlessly complicated. Fuzzy collar beneath outer collar? armor on clothing on armor? I think it needs more simple space. At least Roy's hilariously overcomplicated outfit had a few open areas and more muted colors, with the big honking shoulderguard being the main eyesore. Celice just feels way too busy. If he just took off that coat... I like most of the DLC, at least to some degree. And like I said before I think that a bunch of artists, especially those who have worked on FE in the past, are drawing one another's characters. My least favorite, predictably, is Micky's outfit. Dark mage, I know, but did anyone else fashion the DLC designs to fit the in-game sprites? Sure, Leaf looks Trickster-ish, but not identical to any existing characters. I still call foul. And they could have at least put her in a better pose! I like Elincia, but I like her upper half more then her bottom half. I mean, FE's been good with having girls in armor and decently modest clothes, and Elincia already had a good design. Two of them. Her puffy hole pants... thing... Really bugs me. Prolly moreso because I actually like her as a character. I really hope that the remaining FE girls get better treatment and more modest clothes. Lyn's allowed to have her exposed leg, and Erika can have her miniskirt, but I really hope they look decent or at least pose modestly. I like Senri Kita a lot, and while her Marth isn't my favorite entry, I like it for reasons I've stated before. I also like Wada's Leaf (I've always liked Wada's colors) and Ephraim. Ephraim just looks cool, though his cape seems to be shriveling up like a raisin. DLC Ike had better be based off of PoR!Ike. No more Roid Rage. Celice has a swordmaster style from FE13, too, although much more flamboyant. At least, that's what I think when I see Sairi, who's design is also Asian samurai influenced. I agree, Celice should just take off that coat, the peacock look isn't working too well.
They all have their hints of FE13 design influence, though, even Senri Kita's Marth.

Not just the general tone of it, but also the outfits. There's only a few outfits I absolutely dislike from the DLC, but one of the things about her art is that the outfits were nicely designed, but not over the top complex. They had detail, but stuff that made some semblance of sense- like the pattern on Rafiel's cloak is gorgeous, and a nice touch. Although I don't dislike Celice's outfit, that whole 'fuzzy collar beneath the outer collar' thing bothered me- it's over the top to me.... And of course, that's no problem in just drawing a pretty picture, but when I imagine these guys running around FE style and killing stuff, I can't help but laugh.
