Gromit ambled lazily toward the mouse, not really wishing to hurt it, but instead to examine it. He sniffed and wiggled his damp tails a little. Wallace shook his head quickly. "No, I think it's better this way. You see, I can remove the muzzle whenever I'd like. It's getting it back on that seems to be the problem. I think it'd be better to just let them think what they want for now. Until the time is right, anway. I'm free to go any time I want. My sister didn't exactly know our father, and I'd really rather it stay that way. I'm sticking around just in case he shows up." He raised a brow at the mare's odd question. "I suppose. Don't really think you'll see anything other than some muffed hair, though."

Stiffening Poppin growled as best he could, tiny paws looking through the grass for food. Now that he'dstarted 'hunting' he had no time to run or bother with the big lumbering fox. Even if it made his fur stand on end. Isa felt a tiny giggle bubble up at the two familiars 'antics' before nodding a bit. "Alright..I cannot say I understand fully but, I hope things will get a bit better for you..soon. Hm well just let me make sure." Carefully rising to an upright position Isa leaned in to begin lightly nosing at the palces she had noticed the 'dents' before. Touches light and, a tad bit curious her eyes scanned over the area's she touched. "Hmm..does it hurt anywhere?"

Gromit sniffed at the mouse, wondering what it was looking for. He followed him quietly, his tails moving more the more curious he got. Very carefuly, he stuck his tongue out and licked the tiny creature's back. Wallace closed his eyes, getting ready for the mare to get closer. "You don't really need to understand it. It's just what's best right now." A chil ran down his spine when the mare touched him; nobody had dared to before. He almost missed her question. "No, it's all right. A little tender, but not enough to bother."

Squeaking in shock Poppin let his thin little tail whip back to whack at the fox, irritated squeaks oncem ore leaving the mouse..but, they soon quieted when he saw something move through the grass. A cricket..spry and, fast ltitle bug..but, Poppin only saw lunch..a fast hard to get lunch but, tasty none the less! So with a tiny growl he pounced, the cricket would jump and he would follow never stopping the chase..he wanted that bug! Smiling gently Isa gave a few more light nuzzles to Wallace's head before moving down to very carefully smooth her cheek against his. "Good..it does not look like it cut into you..though the flesh seems a bit angry." She found herself a bit amazed at how soft he felt..of course standign there with her cheek against his felt a ltitle akward..she stayed in the position a beat longer. "You are very..soft..are you sure you feel alright?" He seemed a bit mroe stiff than before..though she could simple be imaging things; It would not be the first nor last time.

Gromit watched the mouse curiously, then noticed what its prey was. With a smile, he lifted his paw and dropped it onto the little bug. He lifted it once more to reaveal a dead, but not completely crushed cricket. Using his paw again, he nudged it toward the mouse, as if it were a peace offering. Wallace wondered momentarily what his companion was doing, but only rolled his eyes. Foxes should eat mice, not befriend them. He decided that it was all right, though, as the death of her friend would probably send the mare into a bit of an outrage. The stallion repositioned his stiffening wings, and raised a brow at the mare. "Why would I not be?"

This time Isa really did laugh..she tried so very hard ot hold it in but, couldn't help it when Gromit gave Poppin the cricket. "That is..adorable..truly." Smiling she went back to smoothing her nose along Wallace's face..wanting to remember the soft silky sensation. "Hmm? Oh..you just seem tense is all..are you not touched often? If not..that's a sad thing indeed..everyone needs a few gentle touches..it reminds us that we are alive." Poppin squeaked i nsurprise, ears peking up curiously. He might not quite trust the fox but...he'd never turn down food! With a happy little hop he snatched the treat up, crunching and munching it up. Thankfully he did not need much to eat, he and Isa had stopped to rest earlier in the day. With a bit of hesitation Poppin hopped closer to Gromit, moving to carefully hop onto the bigger creatures back. Once there his paws set to work grooming every bit of fur they touched.

Wallace just watched the two familiars with a smirk. He'd never seen Gromit make a friend before. Or at least, not without eating it afterward. The hybrid raosed a brow when the mare touched him again and relaxed a little. "Well, who would want to touch a big bad beast like me, you know? I mean, my sister does sometimes, but usually only to stop my muzzle from hurting me." Usually, the thing that made him remember he was alive was the rumble in his stomach from hunger, or the wind under his wings. He felt his cheeks growing slightly warmer when she touched her nose to him. Gromit grinned smugly at the mouse as he saw it eat his catch. The fox's eyes widened when he felt the creature on his back. He twisted his head back toward it and raised a brow questioningly.

Poppin squeaked a bit in 'explanation' while throwing bits of grass or anything else he might find among Gromit's fur to the ground below. He worked with quiet persicion, eventually ending up at the foxes tails..these he tried to capture in his paws when they moved. Not that he looked upset as he tried to get a paw full of the fur, in fact he made happy almsot laughter like sounds. Frowning ever so slightly Isa brushed a few little loose bits of his mane aside, eyes meeting his. "Oh yes you are quite frightening.." Every word dripped with sarcasam and, her smile once more brighting the sadness in her eyes. She felt saddened that such a unique, handsome stallion had been muzzled by a human..not allowed to speak with the only family he had. "What are your plans for the rest of the day?" Voice soft she gave him a little playful n** on the cheek, wanting to get another smile or smirk from the stallion. "Can I not persuade you to come explore with me? Hmm?"

Gromit laid down as the mouse groomed his fur, having never been helped like this before. His grin stayed, and he couldn't help but wiggle his tails at the odd sensation. The fox was always so protective of them, but what was the worse Poppin could do? Wallace smiled faintly, not letting his sharpened teeth show. "Well I am, you know. If I really wanted, I could kill and eat you. But you're much too small. You'd just be an appetizer." He chuckled a little bit. A brow was raised when the mare asked him of plans. The stallion had to think for a few moments. What were the chances of something bad happening at the teepee for a few more hours? They'd just assume he didn't have much luck hunting. Which, honestly, he hadn't. But he could get more to eat once he was finished with the mare, he guessed. "That really would depend on the exploring. What would we find?"

After throughly grooming whatever he could reach on Gromit, the mouse plopped down on his head to lazily rub against the others ears. Humming in thought Isa gave a little shrug of her shoulders. "Well..you never know what you might find..that's what makes it fun. A cave filled with old bones, interesting stones..birds we have never seen before, flowers with beautiful unique scents. Anything and, everything!" Beaming brightly she dantily circled about Wallace, poking against his sides as she went..playfully goading him to stand. "Come please..just for a little bit..it's so nice to have company."

Gromit's ears twitched at the rubbing, but stopped after a moment. He laid his head between his front paws lazily. Wallace sighed and carefully rose, sauntering carefully from side to side for a moment to regain the blood flow to his legs. He couldn't help but chuckle at the mare's excitement. "Well I suppose that you've got a big strong stallion to protect you, so it couldn't be all that bad. What's the worst that could happen, right?" A playful bone seemed to have been struck within the stallion, and he used the flat of his spaded tail to pat her on the rump. "I mean, it's not like somebody will snatch you up and eat you or anything. Though I just might get a little hungry."

Giving a small toss of her mane Isa gave Wallace a little hip bump, eyes gleaming. "Oh yes whatever would I do without a big strong stallion to protect me.." Snorting softly another laugh bubbles up, escaping her lips easily. "I dare you to try...I wouldn't taste too good." With a saucy little wink and flick of her fluffed little tail Isa turned her focus on the two famliars looking like they were ready for a nap. "Are you two coming or staying?" Popping grunted in response before emitting a few soft squeaks, so he would not hurt Gromit's ears which he now lay between. Apparently that was a no from Poppin..the mouse did not feel like moving after his meal. Sure he'd just woke up not too long ago from a nap but, food would forever make the rodent ready for more sleep. "Hmph you are a lazy little mouse Poppin! Fine I suppose we will go without you two." Winking once agian at Wallace she let her feet fly, pounding at the earth, merry voice carrying as she darted through the trees. "Can't catch me! Oh the horror, Please do not eat me 'oh mighty' Wallace." Again she felt her laughter..today had become an adventure Isa had not enjoyed before. The company of a stallion..and being this playfu lwhen usually being called weak or small drove her mad..she just found it a bit endearing the way Wallace said such things. She found it fun playing this little game and only wished to see more of his smiling face..of that playful little look in his eyes.

Wallace raised a brow at the mare. "Oh, I'm sure you'd be just a delightful little morsel." He chuckled and looked questioningly at the two lazy familiars. Gromit looked up at the mare and whined before he lifted his paw and rubbed it against his nose. The fox didn't want to disturb the little ball of warmth resting on top of his head, but he desperately wanted to go. He sighed and waved them off with his other front paw before closing his eyes. Wallace eyed the fox for another moment, but was quickly distracted by the mare's childish antics. He'd never really been playful or played before, and didn't quite know how to react. Perhaps she wanted him to chase her? The massive stallion watched the mare dart between the trees and decided to give it a go. He tucked his wings in close and followed after her, his long tail following behind. For having such a large frame, he was very agile. He had to be to hunt, after all. "You're going to have to do better than this!"

Musical laugh floating through the air the sprightly little mare sped up, not yet going the fastest that she could go but, pretty close to it. The breeze..the flowers and nature all around. It made Isa's heart pound like crazy..made her feel like a little foal again. "Oh haha! Let's see what you've got mister big and bad!" Laugh sounding once more she workedo n being silent..stealthy and swift to escape the stallions notice. She'd had to run many a time from those who found her spunky nature a bit..irritating..or those who were truly dangerous and meant her harm. This time though it felt different, more pleasureable..the pulsating pound of her heart and, the burning within her lungs. Gods above it felt good..to be so free with Wallace..to see him in a more 'normal' light.

Wallace's brows raised at the mare as she spoke, and he chuckled. His massive legs carried him forward and he was gaining ground on the much smaller mare. "I'll go easy on you, of course! I do have many unfair advantages, after all!" The stallion's hunter instincts kicked in, and he ducked beneath branches and through trees with ease. Though the mare was quiet, his ears picked up her light footsteps as if her hooves were in buckets of concrete. A rustle of leaves here and a twig snapping there were what gave her away. And her heartbeat. Along with his own, the pounding of the mare's heart was the clearest sound he'd ever heard. His nostrils flared and inhaled the mare's scent deeply as his ears swiveled in every direction, and they always landed on the heart beat. "You shouldn't work yourself so hard, you know! It's very unlady-like!"
