Ibara's outcry didn't phase either Yuuka. The beams of energy remained strong, lasting until the Spell Card ran out of power.
Eventually, both beams ceased, leaving behind nothing but dust between them. The original Yuuka stumbled forward, exhausted from the amount of energy the attack took from her. She used her parasol as a crutch, propping herself up and keeping herself from collapsing forward.
The second Yuuka merely stood, unphased and proud, glaring at the sphere that still appeared to remain.

The sphere of darkness faded. Through the attack Yochi had been reduce to ducking down and covering her own head. Now looking at the two green haired women, her glasses slipped to the end of her nose, with a wide eyes and opened mouth expression. Visibly shaken the mole youkai said," hay, Ibara watch it- Ib-bara?"
Sligthly slumped over, Ibara snickered, not quite like always.
"And we lost her." Yochi facepalmed, crawling away while she had the chance.
Ibara took the hat off, dropping it by her, still snickering. Her eyes looked a dangerous orange, as she grinned widely at the two Yuuka's. If she looked oni at any one point of her life, it was now, but in a pretty cracked way.
She put her fist to a palm, cracking her knuckles as she licked at her more canine teeth.

"I...Ibara...?"
The apparition dashed forward, charging her 'new' foe, a look of both excitement and evil upon her face. "Wait..!" Yuuka cried out to herself, before she quickly made up her mind to follow suit.
The second Yuuka lead with her own parasol, thrusting forth like a rapier at Ibara, while the original used the roses still in place to fire danmaku at the fleeing mole, attempting to impede her escape.
"Ibara?! What is this? What did she do to you?"

The oni easily dodged, grabbing the apparitions parasol bending it (if no crushing it) in her hand, yanking her opponent foward. Using her other hand she gripped Yuuka's appareitions neck, wringing it with bitter tenderness. She seemed to not be paying to Yuuka.
The mole backtracked, she fevershly looked at the danmaku," Don't waste your breath!" Yochi said looking to Yuuka," Better to just knock her out! She is outta it!"
"Where's my shovel where's my shovel- where?" Yochi apeared to be in a real hurry if not trembling a bit.

The second Yuuka grinned, gripping Ibara's wrist with one hand, and her neck with the other, with almost as much strength Ibara possessed, attempting to sink her claws into Ibara's flesh.
Realizing Yochi's plan, Yuuka searched for the mole's shovel as well. Finding it, she picked it up and tossed it at Yochi. "Catch!" After, she turned to grasp at Ibara as well, in an attempt to subdue her...

Yochi turned and caught her shovel scampering off and around the small battle going on.
Her grin falttered a bit with the other Yuuka gripping her throat, equally choking her. Then the real Yuuka came to grab her, only getting a sideways glance.
From some sort of ledge, the mole youkai jumped down," HIIIIIIIYA!" She came down with the momentum and perfect aim, hitting Ibara right on the head.
The blow was enough to knock the oni out, making her crumple.

The apparition, still gripping Ibara's neck, slammed the Oni into the ground. Yuuka quickly pulled her double back by the shoulder, earning a glare before she dissolved.
After the dust settled, Yuuka slowly stood, looming over Ibara's body and Yochi. She was shocked at Ibara's sudden transformation, and was at a loss for words. "What...what happened to her?" she managed to speak, uncertain of what to do next.
The Youkai she just tried to kill now quite possibly saved them all. This didn't sit well with Yuuka.

"Hahaha...Have ya heard the expression mad with power?"
Yochi flopped down, rolling Ibara over so she wasn't in such a weird and painful position. "Ibara fears herself, so, she uses her own temperance ability against herself. The moment her grip on that slips,its too much power for someone who doesn't know how do deal with it."
"The spark. That dual spark you used, she stopped it using her brute streght and temperance ability. Those are exponetional in sorts, the more out she puts, the less grip on her strenght the more power she gains," Yochi took her glasses off sighing,"So, when this happens, too much power out and none restraining herself, THAT happens."

"I see. So, she's a bomb, waiting to go off...but she uses all her might to keep herself in check... How troublesome you've become, my dear little Oni..." Yuuka sighed, kneeling beside Ibara. She looked to Yochi, before glancing to the side. "I...I am in your debt. If you hadn't been here..."
...Would she have had to kill Ibara? Yuuka was exhausted, embarressed, and unsure of the situation. All she could do was sit there, staring down at Ibara...
"But tell me, how could you have known about this? ...Is this what happened to her in the underground?" She reached to Ibara's neck, gently rubbing the skin her double had gripped so tightly.

"In debt?" The mole blinked,that was something she didn't hear often,"Eh..."
She shook her head once,"I was just saving myself, don't get any ideas." By her tone,though, it sound more as if she was just telling herself that she hadn't done it because she knew Ibara would have come back to the cave isolation had she killed Yuuka or even hurt her.
Yochi looked as Yuuka seemed to rub at Ibara's neck. "Uhm?"The mole youkai thought about it and shook her head,"Nah."
"Back in the day, she was like any oni, loud drunk but with a temper to beware of, I think that's what got her in trouble," she said," No,no, she got this after she came to the caves. When she got around here, that time she spent alone in the dark, she kinda mentally beat herself for what she did. Once she knew I had been around, she tried to do her best to not look strong, I suppose she knew it was best to be liked by someone who could trap her in the cave where she had been."
She stopped looking at Yuuka then grinning sligthly,"I was there the first times this happened, dear~." She moved the overly wide sleeves and rolled them to her shoulder. On her upper arms were plenty of marks that had been left by constant bruising and occasional cuts from flying rocks. She leaned foward rolling one of Ibara's sleeve to expose the oni's scars," And those, are mine. Made by my shovel, I am sorry to say, while we were at it."
"She is a bomb I guess," She dropped her sleeves," The only reason Inknew what to do was because she had gone off on me plenty of times." She snickered," She was silly to even try to restrain herself like this, but, it makes her feel a little better, oddly enough, to know she can't use all her power while in her five senses."
"Of course, then she cracks, and everybody is screwed, but meanwhile all is well and happy in oni land."

What could Yuuka do? Ibara, the poor girl...did she live in the shadow of this Mole Youkai as a way of controlling herself? To live in pity and dishonesty as a means of containing the beast within? If that were the case, then killing Yochi would undoubtedly upset Ibara, pushing her to unleash her uncontrollable Oni power. If that happened, would she ever calm down? Should that rampage continue, she would be hunted down and...exterminated.
"Perhaps I was wrong about you, Miss Hinarasu..." Yuuka whispered to Ibara, while plucking a nearby rosebud off its branch. "Maybe your spark isn't as bright as mine..." She gently placed the rose in Ibara's hair, then stood up and collected her parasol.
"I think it would be best if I leave now. What Ibara does from this point on...is her choice. I won't interfere anymore." Yuuka turned to leave through the doorway Ibara had burst through, guided by a light gathered at the tip of her parasol. She stopped just before the door. "You care about her too, don't you? You must, somewhere behind those glasses of yours... You wouldn't have brought her food and nursed her back to health if you didn't."

"Ah, Ibara will look for you soon, dear, she seems to take a like to you,"Yochi snickered as Yuuka stood, removing he poncho to make a pillow for Ibara,"Though, for now, don't worry she will face you about this soon."
"She has a spark don't doubt that,"She said solemnly,"She has one unlike anyone can ever see." She took off her glasses," If she didn't she would not try to be weak. Not to mention, she hadn't slipped since before she left these caves... I thought I would hear of Gensokyo's doom not a week after she left. That spark has kept her alive."
"Simply facing you to protect me," the mole youkai looked downa at her glasses,"She risked so much."
"Hm..?" The mole looked down at her companion,".... Maybe. Maybe I do. I won't admit to it though, I never have never will...I have lived a lonely existance, and I won't let a kind of bind to someone who sees me as a shield."
She sighed,putting her glasses on she muttered," These glasses will hide me for now."

Yuuka thought about Yochi's words for a moment before a small smile found its way onto her face. She nodded silently to the mole Youkai before turning and passing through the doorway. She made her way through the cave, guided by the dawn's glow. Outside, morning had come, and birds chirped happily, greeting the new day.
It seemed nothing had been accomplished. Yuuka was no closer to solving Ibara's past than before, and now, an even greater mystery has arisen. One thing could be certain, however...
She would not soon forget this night.
