Roch ignored Herryk, figuring the idiot would realize he had enough trouble of his own to not try and get others'. "Alright, let's go down together, Mitzi, look me in the eye and we'll figure it out, alright?" he said, staring her straight in the eyes. "Let's get off the ladder, okay?"
Then he led her down the ladder, and away from the observatory.

With Roch's help, she made it the rest of the way down without incident. "Thanks," she murmured as they reached the main platform again, following him off to somewhere that hopefully would bother her less.

"...What's so funny?" he asked as Thanatos chuckled lightly. Had he said something odd? Seeing the extended hand, Shun somewhat hesitantly took it to shake. Handshaking wasn't really something he did, but he went with it anyway. Nodding to the two, he tucked their names away, making a note of them. The little exchange on the 'darling' matter had him furrowing his brow for the moment. ".. I see," he murmured. He didn't really understand why she went around calling people that, "Is there any reason why you call others that?"

"Oh, nothing at all," Although the grin on his face told a different story, not that he elaborated or spoke about that topic any further as he gave Shun's hand a firm shake.
"Oh, no particular reassssson, really," She nodded, still smiling away happily, "I just find it really endearing." Besides, it was already a habit!

Blinking again, Shun was trying to piece that together, but it didn't work all too well for him. He supposed it could be kind of endearing... maybe. But the snake hardly knew him. So he just sort of shrugged off the idea. On the flip side, he eyed Thanatos somewhat warily. That grin and his words didn't quite match up. "...Right," he said flatly before glancing up towards the observatory, "Did you manage to get to the top?"Perhaps the winds had died down.

"No I did not, sadly," He looked up, towards the spears, wondering how the view from up there was, "I didn't make it past the arrows... One of them almost got me in the knee." For some reason, he felt that that was important.
"I'm beginning to think that our hosts might either be masochists, sadists, a mixture of both, or perhaps they just wish to kill us all using their home."

So then he hadn't been the only one to be attacked. That was mildly irritating to say in the very least. When he tried again later, he was going to have to try and ascend as quickly as he could to avoid such things. "I suppose we should expect no less from the War clan. If anything they may see this as a way of testing us," he said. He could see it. Shun felt his father would pull similar things too if given the chance. Only they might not necessarily be warning shots.

"Their testing methods seem to be rather extreme, don't you think?" He chuckled lightly, stroking his familiar with one hand, "I did one of their training courses - the toxic cave - earlier and it was quite the challenge."

Shun shrugged lightly at that. It didn't seem particularly extreme to him. Tough, yes. But he was used to harsh training regimes. "I hadn't attempted that one. I did give a hand at weaponsmithing. I think I will stick with my own weapons.." he murmured in return.

It was sometime later that Alex scooted backwards from the ledge and pushed himself up to his feet. With a quick glance around him, he suddenly realized he was actually quite alone up here. He wondered why nobody else had managed to make it up...
Shuffling back over towards the ladder, he peered down only to see that it was rather..well, empty. Had everyone given up? That was a shame. It really was quite nice here, up at the top.
Shrugging his backpack up to the top of his shoulders again, he turned, flattened himself to the floor and slid himself back until his feet were dangling off of the ledge, searching for a rung in the ladder to step on to so that he could begin his long and treacherous descent back towards the ground below.
He might have to come back here another time, and see if he could get Yin to come up as well.

Sammy didn't object to being plucked off, she was still in a manner of panic at the idea of falling and breaking. Really, she was flashing back to falling into a Ravine, mist flying past right before that final splat.

Shun did then attempted to climb up the ladder once more. His plans were to try and scale up as quickly as he could. In the back of his mind, he thought of attempting to freerun his way on up, but his depth perception had taken a bit of a hit. That was something he would have to retrain for as well, if only so he could land on things properly.
However, at some point during his rush on up, his foot slipped past the rung and he nearly fell off the ladder.
Gritting his teeth, he let out a hiss as that didn't make his leg feel all too great. Gripping the ladder tightly, he just rode out the pain a bit, deciding to stay put until he managed to fix his current position.

A few minutes later, he carefully shifted himself and got back into a proper position. Letting out a breath, he looked up to see that there was still quite a bit of distance before the observatory. The Reaper was determined to reach it. Narrowing his eye, he readied himself before swiftly making his way on up once more. He moved quickly, but not recklessly. And thus, he managed to avoid getting himself skewered on any of the spears or get shot down by random volleys of arrows.
And then he was at the top. Feeling kind of good about that, he noticed that there were others up here. A few clansmen were shouting and leaving into the portal room.

Since it took some effort to get up here, Shun decided to spend some time up at the top. The view up here was pretty spectacular. Leaning against the railing, he gazed on out, taking in the sights. Outlooks like this were always nice in his opinion. It gave a pretty good idea of the lay of the land. The Reaper also took this time to relax a bit, enjoying the view and the general quietness right now.
