"OW JAH-Kuh DAHMMI HEL" Mac yelled out as she gripped his cheeks. He let go of her waist long enough to pull her hands off of him, submerging both sets of hands into the once-more rising water. There was a moment of him messing with his mouth to try and get rid of that terrible feeling, but it wasn't going away anytime soon. Damn this ghoul.
"Yeah, and lookit how much better you're doing with his obediance!" Mac raised his voice to a mocking optimism. "Listen, your body doesn't interest me in the slightest. I don't care what you look like naked and I'll continue to not care." He informed her, holding her as close as he dared with one arm, the other raising to pinch the bridge of his nose. "If I leave the room and come back, then?" Either way, she was already soaked with all this struggling.
"Do I need to remind you that you've got open wounds that are probably festering right now? And not in the good way?"

“I can, and will head butt you.” She hissed, in regard to the fact that he had her hands pinned at the moment. If he thought she wouldn’t, then he had another thing coming. “Oh yes, like your words really soothe me. I saw you looking.” You know. That one time they went to band camp were going to the batting cages. With all this hissing, bitching and struggling though, Hel was getting worn out fast, and she knew Mac would be far, oh so far, from giving in.
She huffed and glared at him quietly for a long while.
“Why?” She asked after a moment, and the question obviously wasn’t directed at any of his statements.

"Try and I'll drown you." Well, to the point of unconsciousness anyway. That would certainly help the whole bathe her thing.
"I did look. Then. But then I discovered the most amazing pair of breasts and sorry, yours don't even compare." He chuckled, perhaps playing up Lizzy's ah, endowments a little too much. Even just a quick glance showed that Hel's were much bigger, after all. Any other time he would have stopped to reflect how weird that was for him, and how he was most certainly whipped by that point, but right now his only concern was winning and not letting his stubbornassed friend get FEAR infections.
It seemed like victory was going to be his, granted he could outlast a seriously wounded Valkyrie with a temper hotter than the sun.
"Why are you such a stubborn little jerkface? I have no idea. I think you need to get laid." Mac shrugged as if he really didn't care; at this point he was probably just trying to rile her up in order to spend her energy faster.

“I will take you with me.” She countered, and then scoffed. Hers weren’t amazing anymore, huh? Maybe Hel would throw more of a pout in there if she wasn’t feeling miserable and ill tempered enough already. At his words about getting laid, the ghoul’s eyes nearly rolled into the back of her head for a rather epic eye roll at that. Not only did he not answer her question, he oh so helpfully shed light on another sore topic. Not so much the fact that she wanted to get laid (because it wasn’t), it was that she wanted…more affection from Mot. It was confusing right now. She wanted to be alone…but she still yearned for that attention as well.
The urge to just be an unmoving lump was rising as well, and her energy was continuing to rapidly dwindle. Hel’s head started to droop as she fell silent, and after a moment she just let herself fall forward onto the reaper, resting her head on his shoulder. She was tired. This was tiring. Hel let out a small huff. “I can not even be held throughout the night without a blanket separating me from him. I can not even be held all night because he does not rest all night. I can not even entertain thoughts like that.” It was impossible.

"I'd like to see you try~" He hummed, all set and ready to get into another really big, really loud and splashy argument when she...deflated? For a very long moment he went complerely still, rigid and just waiting for some violent followup in light of his dropped defenses. When none came he was confused and not at all relieved; it was like knowing a slap was coming and waiting for it, and yet nothing.
"Uhh..." Was all he could say at first, eyes wide in surprise only moments before falling awkwardly. There was a ghoul on him, wounded and vulnerable and...actually rather sad. Where did Hel go? Unsure of what else to do, the Reaper merely rested his hands on her waist, keeping her from sliding everywhere again and hopefully providing just enough contact to make her feel better.
All the uncertainty went away though as Mot's uh, issues were brought to light. Wait.
Wait.
Wait.

Mac was revoking your mancard, Mot. Officially. As of this very second. What boil would date Hel and not make a move?! She wasn't Lizzy, but damn she was hot.
"...Wow." Out of everything that had gone through his mind, wow was what he settled on. "That's...Wow." He looked seriously perturbed. "Well, I'll try to change that for you. And hey, if you're good we can cuddle." Apparently getting over the shock of the news and the devastating shame in his cousin involved a joke - or was it?
"Have you tried forcing it?" For a moment he sounded like a tech support agent - have you tried turning it on and back off? - which only made sense because clearly Mot was broken and in need of technical support.
Or maybe just a pair of balls.
"Also, I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to strip you now, I promise I'll be good."

Wow. Wow Hel, you’re pathetic. That’s what she was hearing.
Hel lifted her head a bit to stare at Mac, a brow rising. “What happened to ‘Hel, I have a ghoulfriend now’ earlier, hmm?” She couldn’t even take that statement seriously, so it had to be a joke, right? “…I do not even care for that right now I just…I just want…” Normal attention. Lots of normal and innocent attention. Lots. “To be held all night I guess.”
The ghoul choked a bit at his words. “Forcing what exactly? More kisses? More attention? There is either recoiling or a nervous sweat and…I do not like to see him stressed out so I kind of just stopped…seeking…He has been trying a little bit but…I do not know. I am tired. This is tiring. You are tiring. Why am I even having this conversation with you? It is ridiculous.” Hel let out a breath.
“Ya. Alright. Whatever.”

Mac didn't answer her, instead just rolled his eyes. Yes, he had a ghoulfriend. Yes, she was the only one for him and yes, he was still offering to cuddle. But only because Hel was injured and unhappy, and not because there was some underlying something there. There wasn't. Hel was a stubborn a** and that was that. "There's nothing wrong with that, you know." To want to be held all night. He held Lizzy all night when she was over...perhaps he had taken it for granted the whole time? Hmm.
"That's sad, Hel. I'm going to go revoke Mot's mancard." Shame. So much shame for his cousin. It was probably a good thing that he hadn't told Mot yet, that way the news wouldn't spread that they were related. "As for why you're having it with me, it's because I don't give up and you're tired of keeping it pent up~" It was a guess, mostly because nobody but Lizzy ever told him anything like this, or expressed their worries to him. He had no idea why, either.
"Mmmkay." He let her rest against him and went about gathering the things he needed; turning off the faucets, somehow freeing the detachable shower head, gathering up whatever bath products she used. These were put within his reach, somehow managing to not move her too terribly awkwardly.
And that was how, after days of filth, Hel finally got clean.

“It feels like it is wrong. It feels like everything I do is wrong.” Hel murmured, and for the remainder of her time in the bath tub, just mulled over things quietly. Pent up? Maybe. Out of all the people to talk to though, Mac? Or maybe, he was the best one to talk to, since he didn’t get emotional about it.
Through the power of magic (or really, just more carrying, more bandaging, and more clothing), Hel was seated on her bed once more, idly and half heartedly brushing her hair. “So…you did not answer my question.” She started. “…Why? Why this? Why now?” Because really, out of all the people she would have expected to come and try to help well…Mac had been pretty far down (if even) on that list.

"It's not wrong. Mot is wrong. I think that if he really wanted you he'd get over whatever mental issues he has." Mac knew about mental issues. He had many. He'd learned since then so...Mot should learn soon.
"What question?" He inquired from the bathroom, taking off his shirt to wring it out over the bathtub. Since she was safe and clean on her own bed it was time to clean up the absolute mess they (or rather, he) had made in an attempt to get her presentable. "Oh, that question." Well, he had no idea, really.
"Tell you what, hang onto that thought, I'm going to get dry clothes." With that he wandered off, leaving his boots, belt, jacket and pocket things on her floor where they had been abandoned earlier. He left her door wide open and returned a couple minutes later in dry clothing, a towel draped over his still wet head. While he was gone he pondered his motives or how to express them to her, and in the end he didn't think he had anything solid. Just some past experiences that he wasn't going to share.
"I have no idea." He informed her, after closing the door behind him. "I guess it's because we left off on a bad note and I think you've gotten a s**t deal since then?" The now-dry reaper shrugged, sitting down on the bed beside her.

If he really wanted you. Hel paused in her brushing. Ow. She sighed and just haphazardly tossed her brush onto her nightstand. It was too tiresome, she didn’t want to deal with it anymore. She watched as Mac came back into the room. “Ah..” The ghoul just sat there on the bed and waited, shoulders drooped as she idly rubbed her shoulders.
Hel looked up once Mac returned, her brows furrowing. “No idea?” She repeatedly, her lips twisting. She didn’t look all that impressed with his next answer either, rolling her eyes before sighing once more. “Ah. So you pity me then.” She scoffed. Pity was the worst, but maybe it made sense at the moment, since she really thought she hadn’t done anything worthwhile to truly earn sympathy from the Psychopomp, or so she thought. She swayed a bit as he settled onto the bed next to her. “…I think there is more to it than that though.” Or maybe she hoped there was.

"Not a one." Mac confirmed with a smile, shrugging it off as if it really didn't matter. Did he pity her? Well, sort of. He couldn't imagine losing wings, but on the same token...that was exactly why he couldn't bring himself to pity her. Because he had no wings to lose, and nothing to really sympathize with in that regard. But being brutally injured, being alone and unhappy...he knew those feelings, and those he could sympathize with.
"Nah, not Pity. If I pitied you I'd be nicer about what I did." He decided. Pity usually meant treating the other like a child, and to his knowledge he threatened her like an adult. Or, you know, a teenager. As she swayed he stretched out an arm, placing it carefully around the Valkyrie's lower back to keep her from potentially falling backwards; that would be just terrible. Actually, now that he thought about it...she probably had been in that bed for days, right? So in theory, the bed was as dirty as she had been. Faaantastic.
"More to it? Like what?" Truth be told he wasn't really paying attention to her now, instead he was looking over his shoulder, inspecting the bed to judge it's cleanliness against her freshly cleaned and bandaged (well, as bandaged as they could be) wounds.

Hel just gave him a look that said ‘I don’t believe you’, much like the one she gave him back at the batting cages. She gave a sort laugh at his answer, though it really held no amusement in it. “True enough, I suppose.” The ghoul paused as she felt Mac’s arm go around her waist, and the thought was bittersweet. She always wanted Mot’s arms to go there, and either the wings were in the way, or it was most likely too intimate of a gesture that it startled him off. “I do not know, Mac.” Hel replied, looking up at him, who was…looking at the bed?
“I am waiting for you to tell me. This is a lot of effort for someone who strives to be a knife in your side. Unless Lizzy pressured you into it, then I could see that. Anyone would do something for someone they cared about…” She sighed again, and just let the look on her face expression how she felt on the inside. Miserable.

There again, his motives were being questioned. Suddenly the state of cleanliness on the bed wasn't his top priority; Hel was, and she had his full attention once more. Did Lizzy put him up to this? No, no she did not. This was all his doing from start to finish, but he was sure there were parts that would certainly get him in trouble with his Ladylove at the very least.
"Hey, if you died or got some terrible FEAR infection, who else would make my life difficult?" He laughed aloud, amused by the thought. "My life would be a lot less fun without you around, my personal pain in the a**." He gave her side a light pinch. She likely wouldn't believe him if he told her the truth about why he did it, only because it would seem...out of character for him, he supposed.

Hel stared up at him and waited, and waited, and waited, and when he told her more, still she had the feeling that there was more. This answer though, well, it took Hel by surprise regardless, because all things considered, and thinking about who she was dealing with, that really meant a lot. Her brows twitched briefly at the pinch, though it did nothing to deter her from just outright staring at Mac.
After a moment, the ghoul’s eyes seemed to gleam, and she sniffled. “I still think there is more than that.” She choked out.

A brow quirked at her refusal to accept his answer. Well, that he could understand...it wasn't really even an answer, to be complerely honest. But still. Still.
"Do I really need a reason to want to help you?"
