"Gck!" Otto staggered as he was pulled back by the hood, turning his head to narrow his eyes at Molly.
Huh? Stay here?
He took in what they were suggesting, looking very unamused or even interested. The two nerds seemed very excited though. Deryk insisted the bowls were big, and Molly was paying...
Well...
"...ugh.. fine. Whatever." He waved a hand, letting them lead the way. "But we eat, and then we are gone!" He was not getting roped into going in one of those scary perverted cartoon stores!

Molly easily fed off of Deryk’s enthusiasm and excitement for the idea as well, grinning widely. Even Otto agreed, though he wasn’t as enthusiastic, it will made Molly happy! “Alright!” She cheered, and started to fish through her coat pockets until she pulled out her wallet. “Now, we need to go find an ATM! I read somewhere once that Tokyo is a very cash based city…”
Surprisingly, the Mist trainee ended up taking the lead as she got them back into the main streets now. It was easy enough though…just follow all the people. As they stepped out near an intersection though…well…Molly was culture shocked all over again. All. The. People. The billboards…so many stores…and more importantly, so many food places! Tokyo truly was amazing. Everything was easy enough to find and locate as well, even for her! She managed to track down an ATM, and got herself some yen.
Now, locating a ramen stand was equally easy to do as well, and once she found one (helpful with a lot of the places posting pictures of their meals near by), Molly nearly jumped onto a stool at the counter, and patted the spots on both sides of her.
Even though she didn’t speak a lick of Japanese…luckily even the menus had pictures.

Deryk let Molly take the lead. While they made their way through the city, his eyes were wide with wonder as he looked around at the various stores they walked by. This was amazing. Because they were three cool white coats in Japan. They had never been to Japan before so they took a mission to Japan.
"Woah lookit that," he remarked as they walked by an arcade. A real. Arcade. Those didn't exist in the US anymore. Well, not really at least.
And it was PACKED.
He wished he could go in and play a round or two of something.
But soon enough they were at a ramen shop. And the pictures on the menu were really useful.
"Oh. Think. I want this one. Right here. Yes."
Cha siu ramen. He couldn't read it, but that was what it was.

Otto followed. He was not happy. Not excited. He was miserable. Miserable and looking meek as a mouse. He didn't know this place, he didn't know the language people around him spoke. His eyes staid on Deryk's back, and often down to his own shoes. Otto wanted to go home now.
He sat down on the other side of Molly, staring at the pictures and trying to keep from making any eye contact with anyone. He stared at the choices and their strange markings that was supposed to be words. What did he want? Food.. just food. Why was it so complicated?
"..."
Otto didn't know what picture was what. They all looked like fancy noodles to him. What did they taste like? How was he to know? Maybe he would wait to get back to eat..

Molly leaned over on her stool to peek at what Deryk was ordering. “Oh, that looks so good!” She then leaned over to the other side to peer at Otto. “Do you now what you’re ordering?” It would also be good (or bad) to note, that they were being stared at. A lot. As the chef came up to the counter to take their order, the look he gave them was uh…one of…rather polite inquisition. Molly, bless her heart, just held up her menu, pointed at what appeared to be a bowl of pork ramen on the menu, and smiled.
It got the job done.

Beaming at Molly, Deryk took his complimentary cup of green tea and carefully sipped it. He was definitely a coffee over tea guy, but he'd give this a shot. It... wasn't too bad. He still liked coffee more. But... Leon would probably like this. Maybe he could bring back some genuine Japanese green tea for the guy.
Yes.
Good idea. Might make him punch him less too.
Even better idea.

"No.." He replied with a furrowed brow, grumpily looking at the the pictures. He looked up as he was handed a tea, staring at it. Otto.. did not like tea. At all. Much less a weird tea from crazy land. He'd also caught the questionable look the chef gave him, making Otto curl his lip angrily.
Still, the others had ordered.
He wanted to flip some tables. He hated this place. He hated that tea, and that kid staring at him from the corner of his eye. He finally huffed angrily and jabbed at a picture of something with meat in it.
It seemed to be a pork cutlet ramen of some sort.

Molly was just smiling like a fool as she tucked her menu away, and took a sip of their complimentary tea as well. To think she’d be eating real ramen soon! She couldn’t help but giggle quietly.
It just didn’t feel real. Sitting here in Tokyo. She glanced over at Deryk, and then glanced over at Otto once more. She never could have imagined a scenario like this in her wildest dreams. Molly spun on her stool, turning to face out into the busy street, and took in more of the sights now that they weren’t walking around. She was surprised by the amount of stores that seemed to sell…toys? Of were they figures? They reminded her of the figures Bix had in his room…and then that made her think.
Molly gasped.
“Guys! After we eat, could we stop into that store right over there!?” She pointed at a figure shop across the street. “Please!?” She looked at Otto with wide, round eyes. “It will be quick, I promise!”

Deryk could almost taste the food already. A few others in the ramen shop already had their bowls of noodles and quite frankly, it looked absolutely delicious. He couldn't wait for his own dish to come on out. Then, hearing Molly gasp, he turned to see where she was pointing. It looked like it was a figuring shop of some sorts.
"oooh..."
Actually, that sounded pretty cool. The trainee wasn't sure if he would get anything, but it would be interesting to see what it had!

Otto held his stomach with both arms. The aroma was making him even hungrier. Hungrier meant grumpier. So when Molly made her request, Otto snapped.
"No."

Molly’s lip wibbled.
Then their bowls were placed before them.
Molly spun back around on her stool and stared down at her steaming bowl of ramen. Okay. The figure shop was forgotten for now. Just for now though. Oh my gosh. Molly whipped out her cell phone and took a picture of it.
It was that beautiful.

"You like being a killjoy don't you."
Deryk's attention quickly shifted as the ramen was placed before him. His eyes practically sparkled at the sight of it. Oh man! Grinning, he quickly grabbed the chopsticks and got ready. He... had some level of being able to use chopsticks. Not too well, but he had his fair share of chinese and japanese food before.
"Eat up!"
And thus he began to happily chow away.
It.
Was.
DELICIOUS.

"No, it just comes naturally." Otto refuted without skipping a beat.
His attention went down to the bowl. Finally! He was starving. He'd almost felt better now that we would soon eat, but then he stared at the chopsticks. What were these? People don't eat with sticks! He looked to what the others were doing around him. They were all eating with them. He stared back down, picking them up wearily. How did.. this even work? Was he destined to starve? The small blonde tried to mimic what the others were doing, only managing to drop them several times.
. . . .
He looked madder than a hornet, fists clenched tightly so that his knuckles went white, and his face going bright red.

Molly tucked her cell phone away, and reached for some chop sticks as well, breaking them apart. She used them here and there, and was somewhat familiar with them. She glanced back over at Otto and then reached over and corrected his hand posture, and then guided his hand down to the bowl. “You do this, this and this, and clack clack!”
She then pulled her bowl close, and started to eat, making a very, very pleased hummed as she did so. “I can never eat real ramen again.” She said with a mouthful.

Deryk was too busy chowing away to notice that Otto was struggling to eat. This was absolutely amazing. And quite frankly, he wasn't sure if he could do instant ramen again after eating this.
Well, that was a lie. He could. But he would definitely prefer this stuff over it any day.
