"I figure it can't hurt to ask him to go easy. Not that he ever listens to me." Lore shrugged, snapped the 'dex shut and put it back in his pocket, "Y'look good. Considering. A lot of people'd have a breakdown after the last month. We've got a tough group." He smirked, looking a little proud of his teammates.
At the mention of going off-base Lore nodded, "I hear that. Mind if I ask where?"

"I'd urge Mister Anders to reconsider.. given his delicate position." Lucere was reclining in his large leather chair, talking on the phone. "As much as I'd love to guarantee his company's protection, he knows as well as I do that his assets can be..." The Boss's brow furrowed when the communicator in his pocket buzzed. He pulled it out and eyed the message on the small display.
Be gentle.
After blinking at the device a moment he was startled by a loud noise to his left. Turning his head slowly, the dark shape of a spindly man hunched on a pidgeot came into view. He was banging on the glass and shouting.
".......I'll have to call you back." He muttered, then set the phone down. Sighing, he rested an elbow on his desk and watched. Star couldn't see him, of course. The windows were tinted one-way. This wasn't stopping the obnoxious creature from glaring in his general direction, loudly demanding a meeting.
After allowing the spectacle to continue several moments, he picked his phone back up. "Sheryl, please have an Executive Agent report to the roof. Mister Sager is outside. Yes. No, that won't be necessary, a dart will do for now. When he wakes up inform him he'll be spending the evening on janitorial duty and that if this happens again he'll find himself in the recovery ward, followed shortly by the brig." After hanging up he sighed, turned away from the window and focused on his mounting stack of paperwork.
Less than a minute later something on the roof drew Star's attention. He managed a haughty "it's about ti-", was interrupted by a loud bang and fell off his bird. Scream shrieked and dove after him.
Lucere didn't look up from the document he was signing.

Tam' nodded. The man was the reason they were out of the cells and so that granted him at least that request, no matter what he was like.
"Helped being caged together." Tambrey replied without much thought. "You're looking a lot better too; refreshed." Sure, they all still had wounds/bruises that could still be seen, but there was a difference between the dirty, injured and sickly look from the cells compared with now they were home.
It had probably meant to be some sort of disheartening thing, keeping them all in the same small space, letting them watch each other come back beaten half to death after each session, but in worrying about her team mates, and in having them there to go back to, there had been something positive to focus on; planning and striving to make sure they would all get out while keeping each other focused on not talking, as hard as that had become. Particular for some, and that just made the effort more impressive on their part to her.
He asked 'where' and her mind took her across the region. Jinko City- home... It urged. "Just.. out. Camphoreon, I guess." She said. She couldn't go home as she was- all her bruises still felt too fresh to explain.
Somewhere a bang sounded and a bird shrieked. Tambrey and Palu turned their heads in unison to the window. "Sounds like that meeting's off to a good start..."

"Thanks." Lore smiled when she mentioned his own appearance, "Yeah I was hoping for some cool battle scars but the docs gave me the bad news that I'll heal completely."
At the disheartening sounds outside he sighed, shoulders slumping, "C'mon Lucy, I said gentle.." He blinked a moment then glanced at Tambrey, "You didn't hear me call him that."

"Shame." She couldn't help but smirk as she played along; Lore really was likable. "Maybe next time."
She watched the window, half expecting Star to tumble through it, while they listened to the sounds, but was quickly glancing back to Lore. Lucy. Hm. "Call who what?" She piped up, but still a corner of her smirk remained.
Palu had enough- she wanted to see that the window-jumpers had been told off, as they should have been, and flapped up onto the windowsill to peer out.

"Exactly."
Outside Palu would have a decent view of a couple executives down on the ground near the entrance fighting a very angry Scream, who seemed prepared to eviscerate anyone who got close to the heap arms and legs splayed beneath him. Using their own pokemon, the execs were finally able to nab Scream's ball off Star's belt and recall the furious bird.
About ten minutes after he'd jumped out the window, Star was delivered back to his new quarters. Without bothering to knock, the two Execs who'd been fighting Scream shoved the door open, looking disheveled and annoyed as they hauled the lanky Galactic inside. Tethys' description of unconscious Star as a stick insect marionette with its strings cut was really pretty accurate.
Lore turned to face the harassed deliverymen, "Oh hey, our order's here! You can put it right there." He pointed at Star's bed.
The execs glared at Lore before dumping Star on his bed. He still had the tranq dart sticking in his arm.
Lore squinted, "Mmmmmm it looked different in the brochure.. can we get an upgrade?"
"Shut up Lore.." One of the Execs muttered. No doubt in his time as an Exec Lore'd harassed these men regularly.
The second Exec shoved a large envelope at Tambrey, "Give him this when he wakes up."
Without waiting for a response, they turned and left.
Lore shouted after them, "Have a nice day!"

Palu cocked her head to the side and warbled softly as she watched the bird try to fight off the other pokemon. It looked like he was quite tough, fending off executive's pokemon like that. She only hopped back to the bed when it was clear the fight was over.
"So... What was it like that? Growing up with the b-" She found herself interrupted by Star's reappearance and watched as he was dragged into the room.
Tambrey stayed quiet while the executives and Lore exchanged words, though it was a little bit of a one-sided exchange, then blinked a little surprised as she was handed an envelope. "Uh... Okay." She squeaked as the pair were leaving, accompanying Lore's request for them to 'Have a nice day'.
She looked at the envelope, turned it over, inspected it and then discarded it with a sigh before leaving her bed and kneeling at Star's to look at the tranquilizer dart.
"I guess this ought to come out... Top draw at the end of the bed there's got... or did have... wipes and plasters. 'S my medical drawer."
Before the raid, anyway, she'd been keeping a very basic first aid kit in there, alongside other necessities and few little bits of junk- broken jewelry, a couple of foreign coins and a couple of shells might be found next to a packet of wipes and the small green box that contained plasters, a roll of bandages and some pins. It wasn't really anything she'd think her old room mate would have taken, especially since they hadn't pinched anything else.
"Would you mind passing one of each?"
Palu watched the scene impassively from the pillows now.

Lore watched Tambrey cross the room to inspect her new roomate. He smirked when she decided to help him. The ridiculous idiot could certainly use help. Lore hoped Star'd come to realize how lucky he was to have landed in Tambrey's care.
"Can do." He stepped over to the indicated drawer and retrieved her requested supplies, which he handed over, "M'lady."
Somehow all of Star's overly-long limbs'd managed to land at strange (presumably uncomfortable) angles when he hit the bed. Currently he had one arm hanging off onto the floor and was drooling into his pillow.
"Can I help?"

It wasn't really too much of a medical job; cleaning around the dart-puncture and putting a sticky plaster over it... She found herself automatically looking around for anything else he'd managed to do; even if he'd fallen onto the ground, he might have have a graze or cut that ought to be cleaned. At least he was out of it.
"Um. Thanks... Maybe help me get him into a... more human sort of position please? He looks like some sort o'... injured spider there."
That would also make it easier to spot any injury missed.

Lore nodded and stepped over to properly arrange her roomate on his bed. Once the dart was out he helped remove Star's long coat so Tambrey could get at his arm, "I bet this guy's awesome at changing ceiling bulbs." He commented idly as he found a place for Star's coat. "We'll never need to worry about step ladders again."
Aside from the thick bandage around his calf (which looked like it could use changing soon) Star seemed devoid of new injuries. It was pretty impressive, considering the mission they'd just been on. Cowardice had served him well.
The search for fresh injuries did reveal evidence of a lot of past injuries. Rolling up his sleeve to clean the dart wound uncovered a mess of healed scars down his forearm.
Lore returned from hanging up the coat and arched an eyebrow. "Bet there's a fun story behind that.."
If Tambrey went as far as to check under the ex-Galactic's shirt she'd find a lot more scars. Especially for a roboticist who seemed so terrified of the front lines. The worst of the myriad of healed wounds was a long thin scar that traced a line down most of his left side.

"Mmhm." Tambrey replied to the light-bulb comment, but was distracted as the scarring was revealed. She frowned at it and paused but then carefully set to work on what she intended to anyway, only pausing after the short task was completed to regard the old wounds.
".. Don't tell him about this." She muttered, unable to resist finding out about the rest of the scars, though, of course, still checking for new injuries. She was content that there weren't any- just those bandages to change perhaps- but could help but draw a sharp breath over the worst of the scars.
"I know those guards said he and, uh, that Tethys had their run-ins... but if these are from those then I... really can see why he'd give that place up."
She stepped away and frowned at her new room mate again. Oh, right. The envelope. She looked at it and decided to hand it to Lore. "We should put this somewhere he can find it. Maybe on top of the drawers there?" Even though she handed it over, of course, the way she'd looked at it had shown a little temptation in knowing what might be in it.

Lore's brow furrowed as Tambrey uncovered the worst of Star's apparent battlewounds. "..guess Tethys' hospitality is something all three of us can understand...." As horrible and obnoxious as the ex-Galactic was, Lore looked like he felt sorry for him.
He arched an eyebrow when Tambrey handed him the envelope. Reading her expression, he promptly tore it open and removed the sheet of paper within, "Oh man that just fell out." He handed her the paper.
SAGER, IAN - DISCIPLINARY ACTION NOTIFICATION Upon receipt of this document you will report to HQ Maintenance Facilities for mandatory janitorial duty (4 Hours). Repeat offense and/or failure to report for janitorial duty will result in further disciplinary action and temporary Brig confinement.

Tambrey seemed to be having similar feelings regarding the ex-Galactic. Her eyes had gone from the envelope, back to the scars, with an almost puzzled-looking expression. This was a very odd man.
Then her eyes flicked suddenly back to the envelope as Lore had opened it. "Uh..." What? She had wanted to see what was in there and he was Lucere's brother, whatever the rank... If anyone would be able to get away with opening someone else's mail here... The protest she might have had died on her tongue and she read the paper.
"Well." She paused, thoughtfully. "Actually this does seem... lenient." Considering the man had tried to harass The Boss himself, 4 hours was... fair. "I kind of hope he sees it that way..." And yet she rather doubted he would. "Uh. I don't suppose you have a spare envelope?" The grunt looked back at Lore. It would probably have been better if Star didn't know they had 'opened his mail'.

"Eh, we can just toss the envelope and give him the paper folded." Lore took the notice back to crease it neatly down the middle, then set it on the empty table by Star's bed.
"Four hours is super lenient. I guess Luce figured getting shot counted as part of his punishment." He scratched his chin, eyeing the sleeping Galactic, "....but I have a feeling he'll consider ten minutes scrubbing a toilet outrageous." On the last word Lore did his best to imitate Star's unique voice. It wasn't a bad attempt.

.... That was a really obvious solution and she was rather ashamed that she hadn't even thought of it.
She watched him place it back down and smirked again as Lore mimicked Star's voice. "... I think you're right. After all that ranting he did on... sharing a room and then on your... choosing Grunt status- the uniform does suit by the way; you look more comfortable somehow... Looks good- well, I can guess that I'm going to end up hearing all about the injustices of it..."
She sat back down on her bed. "So..." She remembered "I think I was asking what it was like, growing up with The Boss?" There wasn't much hesitation; she'd been more shy on asking such things before certain missions but, she noted to herself, this felt natural. She'd changed, enough for her to notice and blink a little at herself after the question had left her lips.

Lore perked up when Tambrey commented on his uniform, "Thanks! Oh man.. you have no idea how boring being a pseudo-exec was. That entire floor is just.. people in white suits congratulating each other on how important they are and sucking up to Luce and pretending the rest of you don't exist. I dunno why anyone would want that rank."
He took a seat on the edge of Star's bed, figuring the Galactic wouldn't mind. "Growing up with Luce? Uh. Probably how you'd imagine it'd be....." He shrugged, "Straight A's, overachiever... graduated early. Whole lotta 'Loreven why can't you be more like your brother', 'Gosh, I tried mom, but my hair just won't turn blue, 'This isn't a joke, why can't you take this seriously?', 'I take hair color very seriously'."
