He didn't stop her - not that he ever did. Kettil let out a small contented sigh as he stared up at her.
Was he freaking out a little bit earlier? Nope. Not him. Not at all. This was fine, this was perfect. This is the best he could hope for right now.
"Yah, this is pretty nice. I wouldn't fuss if we did this 'most everyday," he grinned lightly up at her. The view was awesome, the blanket was comfortable, and the company was ideal. Kettil couldn't honestly ask for more than that.
Kettil seemed thoughtful for a moment, "What ya wanna do ...Y'know after school is done?"

Lark exhaled softly, her brows forming a delicate frown over her eyes. It was a serious question, and one she ought to have given at least some thought to.
She hadn't.
"I'unno, honestly." She pressed her lips together as she peered down at Kettil's face, reaching forth with her index finger to trace along his eyebrow. "I ain't given it too much thought, y'know? I guess… I jest wanted t'come 'ere n' learn t'train, t'work w'Ben." Lark looked thoughtful for a second; was it wrong that she hadn't given it any thought?
"What 'bout you? I mean… y'got yer family n' all that, yeah? I mean, I guess I do too, s'jest that… well. M'dad ain't ever been real attentive, neither's m'mom. Always out doin' research on this or that or t'other."
Her thin shoulders lifted in the slightest shrug.
"I ain't got no aspirations t'be th'best at anythin'. I jest… I guess I jest wanna be happy, y'know? I wanna explore n' learn things n' stuff…" Lark tugged on one of the feathers in Kettil's hair.
"Got me yawnin' on all serious. This is 'posta be a date, mate. Fun. Not serious, too right?"

He watched her as she hmm'd-and-hawed over future prospects and even taunted him about the subject matter causing her to yawn. Kettil lazily reached up to brush his fingertips over her cheeks, "Well I know for part of mine I just want to be with you, Lar. You're part of my plans," he said simply with a small shrug.
Kettil wasn't going to let her go that easily now that he had her it seemed.
"Fact I want all of it to be with you. Mom and Dad expect me to go on my own after school so...Why wouldn't I go with you?" He asked curiously not seeming frightened by the uncertainty of their path at the moment and then he let the subject fall for the time being with a small chuckle, "Sorry I was just wonderin' is all."
Perhaps if he had only known Lark for a few days he might have been hesitant at these words but they knew each other for years. He closed his eyes, "We could always wrestle if you want fun~," he teased idly.

Lark paused in her actions. It was a little scary, this razor-thin precipice of teenage years that bordered on becoming an adult. She didn't want to think of their future yet. They'd been friends forever and Lark had … had loved him for half of that, at the very least. She hadn't even told him that she never wanted to be without him, that she loved him. The time just hadn't felt right - and in all honesty, she didn't want to say it first. What if he didn't feel the same way? What if she layed out all her emotions out for him and he just … laughed?
With a very indelicate grunt, Lark tugged on his earlobe.
"If we wressle, yer gonna beat me. Yer lots bigger now than y'were when we was little. Beat y'pleanty'a times back then, too right, but comin' up 'gainst y'now would be askin' t'be beat sound-like."
She gave him a small smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.
"I like this. Just relaxin'. Talkin'. Y'know?"

Kettil chuckled a little at the tug of his earlobe and then laughed more at her words, "I 'unno. I think if you were really determined you could still beat me, Lar. You got speed over me amongst other advantages."
His hands fell back to rest against his chest (and her hat) as he let out a small sigh, "Yeah this is nice, too," he smiled up at her softly though he noticed something. He'd been trying so hard to be more sensitive to Lark and her feelings. They were an item now and that meant he had to take care of her.
Kettil reached to take one of her hands, "Lar, mind tellin' me what is goin' on in your head?" He wasn't known for his delicacy about things but then he couldn't think of a better way to word it and thus decided it was best for them both if he just got down to business rather than dancing around it as if afraid. Worst she'd do is probably swatting him on the head.
..Maybe he should move?

Lark cleared her throat. She wasn't sure she was ready to answer such a question.
"Whaddya mean, Ket?"
She cleared her throat again and started fussing with the necklace around her neck with one hand while giving his fingers a squeeze with the other.. Lark wasn't.. ready.. for serious relationship discussions. It was all still too new, too fresh, too scary.
A part of her was also terrified that her lack of admission would upset him, drive them apart.
Larkspur bit her lower lip, green eyes hooded as she stared down at their entwined fingers.

"Y'just have that look on your face when yer thinkin' about somethin, that's all," he said simply as he squeezed her fingers back and then reluctantly added, "but if'n yer not ready t'tell me what is going on behind them green eyes of yers then that's fine," he smiled up at her with a trusting gaze.
It showed that he paid attention to her more than ever now when he noticed these shifts in her mood or at least he was trying to. He wanted to anticipate her wants and needs, that was all.
Quietly he squinted up at her face and then suddenly started to shift himself about to get up on his knees as he released her hand, "That's funny, I never noticed that before...."
Either there was trickery afoot or there was something truly amiss. Either way he was changing the topic for her.
