"The gym leader?" Graham repeated as he rested his hands behind his head. "I hear he's a Flying-type Gym Leader, kinda like ours back in Fortree. I have no idea about his Pokemon though." The landscape was looking different now, signalling the entrance to Route 2. He looked over at Alyss. Ah so the gym leader was like Winona? Well that would be good for her to know. It looks like Shinx was a good catch for her then. When Graham asked her about heading to the tall grass she nodded. "Well we won't be able to train by standing around and doing nothing of course~" She said, jogging on over to the grass. She just wondered what she would end up finding. From one of the bushes came out a Marill which seemed to want to play. She smiled over at it, though Alu had another thing in mind. It whipped its leaf and shot some leaves towards the Marill. The water mouse went back onto its back then shook its body. Alyss tossed a Poke ball at it, though the mouse rolled away from the ball. She cried in frustration and kept on trying to catch the water mouse but eventually it scurried off farther into the tall grass. "Shoot..."

Graham nodded and followed Alyss into the tall grass, each pulling up a random encounter. While Alyss found what seemed to be a Marill, Graham found a Nincada. These were like... ninjas in training. So cool~ And they had an even cooler evolved form that came with a bonus! He had to catch it! And so he sent out Kippers to Tackle it, but the bug responded with Harden. After another Tackle, it seemed like all the Nincada would do was Harden its body. Well, if that was all it was going to do, he may as well catch it. It took two Pokeballs to secure the Nincada. Now time to name it! "I'm gonna call you Sheena!" Graham said with a grin at the Pokeball in hand. He then recovered the missed ball before looking over at Alyss. She looked over to Graham when he called her out. "No luck." She said with a sigh. "Though it seems you managed to get something. What did you encounter?" She asked, calling Alu back over to her side.

It seemed like Alyss didn't have any luck. "That sucks. But oh well. You win some, you lose some." he said with a shrug. The girl seemed to be interested in what Graham caught, so he let out Sheena the Nincada for her to see. "Isn't it cool?" he asked with a grin. She looked at the Nincada and backed up a little. "A bug Pokemon? Well it is cool because of its uniqueness. It evolves into Ninjask, but there is also the fact that with these guys it is the only way you can get Shedinja. Which do you plan on using?" She asked.

Aww... Alyss didn't seem to like Sheena too much. Well, he could understand. Girls didn't like bugs that much. She went on to talk about the Nincada's evolved forms, then asked which he would get. "Both, naturally." he replied. "Ninjask are supposed to be unrivaled in speed. And they're ninjas. How cool is that? And Shedinja are ghost ninjas with a really cool ability that makes it so that they can only be hurt with certain moves. Well that was all right if he wanted both evolutions. They both did seem cool in their own ways. He was right about the Ninjask. If she would have gotten the chance she would go after one. "Well that's settled. How about we continue along?" She asked. She felt that she trusted him and could follow him.

((Was told to send Alyss to Blyse City and wait for Bel to come back.)) "I suppose." said Graham with a shrug. However, just as he was about to lead her to look for more Pokemon, she suddenly apologized, saying she had something to take care of that she clearly forgot before rushing off back towards Blyse City. Well, that was random. But whatever. He waved her good bye before going back into the grass. It wasn't long before he found a Timburr. Flipping open the Pokedex to gather data on it, he found that it was a Fighting-type. Well... sure, it'd be nice if he had one, but he decided against it. So he sent out T.T. to battle it. The Hoothoot put the Timburr to sleep with Hypnosis, preventing it from finishing off the bird, and in the end the Owl Pokemon just Tackled it into oblivion. Well, that was one way to do things. Graham decided to venture back to Route 1 and explore some more. Graham decided to stay just a little longer on Route 2, just to see what else there was to catch. As he wandered the tall grass back on Route 2, he began to wonder about how things were back home with his family. Dad was probably fishing right around now. Mom was probably looking after his little bro. He'll have to make sure to call home later and see how everyone was. It wasn't long before he found... oh wow. This was quite rare. It was a Shiny Lotad. Well, he didn't want to let this one get away, even if he already had a Water Type. T.T. was worn out from before, so he sent out Lucius instead. After all, Lotad were Grass/Water dual types, so sending Kippers would have been a bad idea if it knew Absorb. Sure enough, after the first Tackle, it did use Absorb to drain some HP from the Shinx. Another Tackle brought it down to low health, and the Lotad used Growl to try to weaken the Tackles. Graham grabbed a Pokeball from his belt. "I'm not letting you get away!" he said, throwing a ball at it. ... Wow. It didn't even try to resist. It was seriously caught after just one try! Awesome! With a grin, Graham walked over to claim his caught Pokemon. He pondered briefly for a name before smirking. "Sure, why not? Graham remained on Route 2 a little longer, exploring. All of a sudden, he stumbled upon a Wooper. Fetching his Pokedex, he learned that it was a Ground/Water type, much like what Kippers would become after a while. It looked a bit derpy, though. Then again, that 'Uupa' sound it made was kinda intriguing. It was probably time to give Miror B. a chance to shine. "Come on out, Miror B!" he said, sending out the Lotad. Miror B. appeared on the field, shaking his lily pad as he looked at the Wooper he was to face. The little derpster didn't seem to notice them yet, so Graham ordered the Lotad to use Absorb. He kinda wanted to catch it. However, the Absorb had proven to be rather powerful, and the Wooper was wiped out in one shot. What a shame. There was no point even playing the Lotad's theme song if a battle would end that quickly. And so he called Miror B. back before heading out, deciding to look elsewhere. Maybe he could find some more people to talk to. It was getting rather dull out here anyway all alone. From: Professor Valerian's LabMaking his way out of the city, Night and his Tepig would walk down Route 1 as their journey began. "Alright Patch," Night said, looking at the Tepig, "if we're going to be partners, I might as well tell you my style of battling. As we journey through the world, we'll come across many Pokémon. Well, the only Pokemon we'll actually catch and add to our team are those who are black and/or white. I can't stand Pokemon out of that small category. Anyone else we find, we'll battle simply to help you get stronger." Patch nodded and scanned the area for any Pokemon black or white. With so many Pokemon in the world, it would be hard to find only white and black. Patch only wished his trainer would settle for all the colors of the rainbow. After forgetting why she had to go back to Blyse City, Alyss started back on towards Route 1. While she got lucky to not run into anything, she was doing her best to catch up with Graham. She had been traveling with him and she could at least continue to travel with him.
It didn't take her that long till she reached Route 2 again, and noticed that Graham wasn't around. She sighed, then pouted a little. "And I wanted to travel with him as well. Oh well my fault for spacing out."

As the two walked on, they found that there were millions of Pokemon around them, but none of them were black or white. Perhaps if they went to Route 2 they'd find more black and whites. After all, what better place to look for black and whites than in ghost types, and what better way to look for ghost types than in ruins. "Find anything?" Night asked the Tepig. Patch shook his head and kept walking alongside Night. "This is going to be a long-" Night started. He cut off when he he suddenly heard the wind whisling.
Moments later, a blue light would slam into both Night and Tepig, sending them flying backwards. "Oww," Night said, rubbing his head. "What was that?" Taking out his Pokedex, Night pointed the object at a shadow that was approaching them. Apparently this was a Pidove, using gust to blow them away. According to the Pokedex, this Pokemon wasn't supposed to be very smart. Why would it attack the two then? Looking down, Night saw the reason.
While they were walking through Route 1, Night had stepped in some food that had been left out for the Pidoves. That certainly had sent the hungry Pidove off the deep end. "Alright Patch," Night said, standing up, "looks like we've got a battle on our hands. The good news is, we can actually catch this one." Tepig smiled at this, jumping to a standing position as it prepared to attack. "Tail Whip," Night said after scanning through a list of Tepig's moves.
Turning around, Tepig would wag its tail cutely at the Pidove. It tilted its head curiously at the gesture, not knowing how to respond to this. Night quickly took advantage of the confusion to attack. "Tackle now!" Night shouted. Turning around, Patch would launch into the air and slam head first right into the Pidove.
Down it fell, sliding across the floor. However, it would quickly get up and flap its wings in another gust. "Woah!" Night shouted as he was blow backards by the attack. Tepig, tackle." Forcing himself up, Tepig would launch at Pidove again and slam his full body into the bird. This time, as Pidove fell, Night threw out a Pokeball to try to catch it.

The Pokeball would bounce off of Pidove before opening up and sucking in the bird. As it began to shake left and right, Night held his breath in anticipation. Someone could cut the tention with a knife if they had one. "C'mon," Night said, clinching his fists. When the ball finally stopped shaking and Night heard a clicking noise, he knew that the capture was successful. A wide grin came across his face as he realized he'd caught his 1st Pokemon.
"I just caught a Pidove," Night said quietly. Tepig went over to retrieve the ball, grabbing it with his mouth and bringing it over to Night. "I just caught a Pidove!" Night said, louder and more excitedly. "Patch, we just added a new Pokemon to the team!"
Night couldn't help but jump up and down in happyness. That soon would turn into a victory dance that ended with Night jumping into the air. "Wait a minute," Night said, stopping in midair. That was when he remembered his dream from earlier. Was this the same Pidove from his dream? What could it mean?
Night quickly shook the thought out of his mind. They events were similar, but it couldn't be the same Pidove since he'd caught the one in his dream with a Glameow. With that thought in mind, Night finally fell to the ground in front of a Tepig staring with a mouth wide open. "Let's keep going," Night said, enthusiastically. "Onward to victory!" Patch closed his mouth and nodded, following after Night smiling. As they ran down Route 1, Night never realized that he'd neglected to give Pidove a name.
