Edel had not been expecting to get hugged by Rikki, or even see him so emotional in the first place. The ghoul didn't resist getting pulled into a hug, though for Danny's sake and the rest of theirs, she didn't return it although her gratitude was expressed with a, “I-I'm glad you're okay too.”

“Muka!” she greeted, her mood lifting slightly at the sight of her friend, “It is quite wonderful yes, I thought you might enjoy it here.” The strix would of course, enjoy the dense forest much more than her.

Joachim stared at the ambassador as if to avoid looking at the floor or even the windows. He didn't have an issue with standing on porches of three story homes, or even the idea of standing on solid ground of a cliff and sort of edging over to see the bottom. It was creaking of the floor and the light that light up around his white boots that turned his deepen frown into more of a look of concern as his face was paler than usual.

He was going to die. Yes this was it. Him and his shoes he was sure to fall through the floor at some point. OH jack damnit he hoped that they weren't going to be battling in rooms like the one he was standing it. Cramming his hands into his pockets he felt the warm bodies of his mice, the idea of even letting the roam free sent a round of chills up his spine. What would happen if they fell through a hole? Or a crack?

Yet Merel seemed rather happy, or maybe she was just happy to see familiar faces as she squeaked and waved to the strix who from his voice was at home in the trees.

Shehk seemed to suddenly chime in with a question of her own, having thought of it:

"As you've said we'll have free time between lessons and training, I do have a question - is there anywhere that we aren't allowed to go?" she inquired. It had sounded like they would have some time to look around, but she would have hated to have them going places that...well...

She paused at that line, it wasn't exactly what she had expected. A smart remark, a quip, honestly it was maybe touching or deep was the word she needed to describe it? It was cut short though as Riley reached over ruffling her hair causing the ghoul to wave a hand brushing Riley's fingers away.

"Honestly hope is something we could use indeed." Though Riley couldn't smile Sammy was more then happy to do that for them both as she started looking around again. They had spears. Spears everywhere, she wondered for a moment if someone could teach her how to make a spear like that?

"Hey; when we find out where we can't go. You wana go explore?" She poked the side of Riley playfully, "Or maybe you can pay up for that fight you never gave me around school." She paused for a moment watching another member of war walk by, a very lovely lady walking by. "Or I can just enjoy the eyecandy...."

Alex's grin had to widen, at Yin's smile, and at his sudden enthusiasm. It really was contagious, that new eagerness, and Alex found himself agreeing with Yin and feeling that, yes, this could be a lot of fun, and found himself wanting to prove himself as well, and show what he was capable of. In any case he had to laugh a little, and finally said, "Just don't do anything too extreme. I don't want to see you get seriously hurt again like after that..cliff experience." You might have thought that Alex would look upset when bringing up that horrible experience, but again, he was suddenly just feeling too happy, too excited, to let even that dampen his mood, so he just gave Yin a look that said 'I might be smiling, but I'm damn serious. Don't do that to me again' which is a lot for a single look to say, so it probably meant little to Yin anyways.

Alexander hadn't heard any rules being spoken about eyephones either, but they were also given a fairly harsh lecture, and the very last thing he needed was for some horsemen to confiscate his phone. He had at least told his mother he would try to find time to call so she could hear for herself that things were going fine. "Maybe I'll ask later." He shrugged, with an easy smile, turning to see who else had joined them in the class and seeing that the room was starting to fill with students, some of which he knew, others that he recognized, and still others that he had never seen before. He could assume that all of these new faces were exchange students not from Amity, but the school was large, and he still found himself meeting students he'd never seen before on a fairly regular basis. He waved at Mitzi and smiled, the motion automatic but then frowned, remembering their spar and suddenly feeling rather ashamed, turned away, and thus did not get to see her sudden struggles with vertigo taking place.

"Thanks Yin, I do actually think it would be a good idea to teach you how to use my phone, anyways, so maybe once we get settled in I can show you."

Watching the gate closely, Mitzi noticed as soon as Danny carried the punk boil through. She started to make her way through the growing crowd; Roch was one of the people she had been most hoping to see. She didn't care that there was someone else with him, right now she just needed to not be near the edge, and preferably to not be near the edge with someone she knew.

She sidled up to the pair, realizing as she did so that she had met the ghoul before, although she didn't remember much about her. So she nodded to them both, and said, "Hi, Roch. I didn't know you were in this class, too." She gave him a tight smile, but it was clearly strained, as much as she tried to hide it.

Roch blinked, distracted from the earring issue, and looked over at the other purple haired reaper blankly. "Yo, Mitzi!" he said, breaking into a grin. "You're in War? That's cool--you okay?" he asked, looking at her a bit closer with a slight frown. "You didn't get hurt comin' through the portal or somethin, did you?"

He glanced over at the portal in question, then at the spear toting females with wings. For a moment his expression was blank, then he shook his head. "Jack, it's full up of Valkyrie types," he said, fighting the urge to cover his crotch with his hands. Suddenly he REALLY missed his guitar. Even more.
