Rep arched a brow slightly at Harrison's response to the two men present and slowly figured he had to be dealing with someone of a pretty high rank as well with Lance. He was about to suggest that both of them make themselves pretty scarce when Before wandered over to the fridge with cookies.

Rep didn't bother asking for permission before snatching a few. Cookies were cookies no matter where they came from.

Just as he was contentedly savouring a mouthful of cookie, the sun hunter caught the sound of laughter in the hallway, glancing over just in time to see H pause in the doorway. It was surprising how fast he'd gone from thinking the man was a good guy to dreading his every appearance, but all his infuriating little smile did was make this state of affairs even more pronounced. Some bastards got women as easily as breathing.

And then, some people were like him.

He tried to get back to enjoying his cookies, to forget the doctor, but it was surprisingly hard. He eyed the fridge glumly. "Does anyone here read jibberish? I really would like to know if there's alcohol in here or if everything looks like..." he eyed his drink. "..milk"

Still suffering from a kind of boss-paralysis, Harrison nodded, once, stiffly to Before and mechanically took a cookie.

"Thanks," he muttered.

While Harrison didn't know what any of this stuff was, B0nez was rattling off about it. Only in Halloween bizarro-speak. He seemed particularly excited about the haunted DDR machine.

It was all coming out as a sort of authority-induced blur.

H's drive-by did not help.

He needed a drink.

"Hell. Somebody toss me something. I don't care what."

"Whatever it was that looks like water? It's not water. It's sweet. Just to be warned," Jerry smiled crookedly from his pile of poorly-kept instruments he was systematically fiddling with. He had laid all three out to see which was in the best condition. The Shamisen seemed hopeful, and it reminded him a bit of a guitar. The broken string had snapped close to the tuner, if he could just finagle it a bit, he might be able to get it in a somewhat working order...

Rep gave Harrison a smirk. Someone was to pick a drink for him? Rep instantly volunteered himself for the job, picking out one of the drinks he'd saw earlier but hadn't dared to try. Pepsi cucumber. He had no idea if it was legit cucumber flavour or something like Dr Pepper and he hadn't dared try.

Harrison could be the adventurous guy who did.

He handed the bottle over. "Here you go mate."

Before rewarding himself for his efforts with swiping another cookie. "Want to go sit down?" he asked Harrison, still a little uncomfortable being near Allan and Lance's discussion.

The fact that the bag of cookies had a brand? Marcus realized they were indeed, legit. Thus, he could eat one and not risk possible death from 'strange things baked in questionable places'. Granted it didn't taste that good with the tea, but hey, food was food and with the kitchens as they were, he was okay with semi weird tasting cookies.

Dr. H's passing didn't go unnoticed. Frowning, he pulled out his phone. The message from Cass made him pause mostly since...Julie wasn't the sort be be normal. He'd certainly never seen her that way.
demon_pachabel
I love you too baby. Julie=normal? I got invited to a 'Men's night'.

demon_pachabel
Allan is hosting

demon_pachabel
Might do something called a 'Nakama bro fight' planed with and without weapons and idek

demon_pachabel
If I die know that I loved you, also how is your girls party going? Have fun k

He was totally not reassuring himself of his own masculinity. Totally.
Bix's enthusiasm for action figures was not shared however, as Marcus just had no idea what anything aside from the comic book heroes were from. It was also slightly scary to know Bix would kill for such a room. But hey, maybe with the high turn over rate with sun hunters he'd get the chance? Never knew.

From the general air it seemed the guys wanted booze and in one horribe kneew jerking reaction: "I am NOT making a run for alcohol." He said, muttering something after about Julie again. One action figure did make him pause, a woman with thighs bigger than her head. He just- didn't get it. "Can someone tell me how this s**t even exists?" Bix might have the answers. He was the nerd right? Or had been at least.

Jerry had finagled a string off of one of the other instruments to hook the shamisen up, and it was *functional* at least, but when he gave it an experimental twang in an attempt to tune it, he 1. had no idea how to tune a shamisen, and 2. it gave an eery sort of sad broken sound. That was alright by him, though. Anything was better than nothing.

Sitting quietly, he was more than happy to provide some semblance of party music, trying his best to emulate what he had heard in one of his cultural music classes back in the days of college.

Allan's face fell, rather dramatically, at Lance's mention of strong bond between nakama and new recruits, and he shifted, in what he thought was a subtle position to one side, lowering his voice slightly. Just slightly. "Actually, that's why I brought them here, I think the most recent events have drastically lowered their morale, I mean, look at them bro-" Here, he pointed to Jerry, who in Allan's point of view looked like he was going to break down any second as he tried to fiddle with the shamisen. "Sad times, sad times indeed, and I was thinking to myself, cuz I do that, I think to myself, Allan-taichou, you are a good man. Which is what I said to myself of course. You are a good man, and you need to look over your squad. You aren't just a leader, you are a taichou, and most of all, you are a taichou with bankai. You need to use your powers to inspire them to fight, to fend off the forces of evil. If they cannot draw in their inner strength, then they will never be at peace with themselves."

A hearty pause as the Sun Division leader basked in his own words of wisdom. He pulled over two bottles of Ramune, popping them with just one hand before handing Lance one - nevermind if the man already had a drink. "Thanks for coming by the way bro, nakama are always nakama." Here, he took a second, almost reflexively, to move Lance slightly to the left. There was no bullet however from a certain someone who nine times out of ten would take this as opportunity to show to a certain now Mist Hunter that no, not all nakama were that equal. As if this was somehow the end of a very inspirational conversation, Allan gave Lance a thumbs up and then clapped his hands loudly for everyone else in the room.

"Attention, attention all nakama gathered here. Today, as men, we will engage in the fine art of combat to unleash our inner spirits and battle fury. It will be a furious contest of manly strength, the winner will simply be the last one standing. Now come, channel your inner reishi and commune with your spirit weapons. Now is not the time to back out!"

It turned out that the 'third' door in the suite was actually a portal that lead directly onto the training field. This was probably the single smartest and most practical thing that Allan had in his room, and one had to wonder if the idea was his alone, or perhaps the ideas of the remaining four residents in the hallway who were not so pleased at the habitual damage and repairs of this hallway. The Sun Division leader grinned and gave everyone his best Allan-taichou reassuring pose. "After you."

After each and every trainee filed into the training fields, despite the fact that it was dark outside, despite the fact that even if they really did not want to, Allan pretty much kept on spewing obscure butchered Japanese phrases until all the trainees relented. The Sun lead showed up behind the last of the herd, and immediately summoned his sword weapon, a familiar black-and-silver broadsword, digging its tip into the ground as he walked around the grass-covered vicinity in roughly a twenty-foot radius, drawing a large circle on the ground. Well, it was supposed to be a twenty-foot circle, that turned out more like a spiral, because the ends just weren't meeting up, and Allan could not figure out why, so he just continued to draw and draw until he ran out of room and well-

"This!" Allan pointed to the spiral. "Is the battle ring. Now, as nakama, we are here for one thing and one thing only." He thumped his chest with one fist. "We are here to fight and win and fight some more. So," here, he walked to the center of the "circle", "Who will volunteer first to train with Allan-taichou?"

Silence.

He gave the closest trainee, Marcus a giant thumbs up. "Why, thank you for volunteering young shinigami. State your name and official rank first!"

He managed to get one last text to Cass.

going 2 die ilu cass

Closing his phone he put it back into his sweat pants. "......" For a second he just sort of..stared at Allan. "....Marcus Hasan, intermediate moon trainee."

He might have looked even more unhappy than previously.

Despite being herded, Jerry kept a firm hold of his newfound instrument, giving it a dramatic STRUM STRUM STRUM as it seemed the manly battle times were about to begin. He felt it added a nice effect to Marcus's introduction.

There was a slight pause. Finally, Allan leaned over and whispered very loudly "You're supposed to use your shinigami title."

He stood there and waited expectantly, as Jerry provided inspirational themed music in the background.

Gale arrived just in time to see Allan saying something about a shinigami.

He stopped and stared blankly.

Why was he here again?

Marcus had no ******** idea what that even meant. "............................"

All of his ******** rock that orbits the 3rd planet from the star commonly known as the sun division upper class trainee?"

Gone.

Marcus just shrugged, finishing off the cookie he'd grabbed before.

When he looked back into the fridge, Wilson couldn’t find a bottle that resembled an eel drink. How disappointing. Had he somehow missed it or was its packaging really obscure? Oh well. He wasn’t going to spend his time attempting to find a drink he didn’t even want to taste. Wilson closed the door and took another sip of his tea. The trainee only managed to catch a few snippets of Lance’s and Allan’s conversation before the division leader decided it was a perfect time to go out to the training fields. How Allan had managed to come up with the smart idea of having a portal connected to the training fields, Wilson didn’t know. Wilson wished Allan hadn’t. His promotion mission still fresh in his mind, Wilson mutely positioned himself near the back of the group, still sipping his tea.

When Wilson heard Allan call out Marcus’ name, he could only shake his head. “I’ll never forget you, Marcus.” Wilson silently waved Gale over while giving the younger trainee a knowing look. I know.

Deryk had just been in the back, busy marveling over everything in the room. At some point, though he realized this was supposed to be a party and turned around to see a lot more people in here than when he first entered. Nice! Though, he was trying to figure out what the heck they were doing right now. Wait, they were going to fight? The trainee scratched his head, but then shrugged and followed after the others.

Well this should be entertaining at least!

Jordan had arrived just in time to be herded somewhat reluctantly through unexpected portal. Why did Allan have a portal in his quarters? Oh. Training grounds. That explained it.

He nodded sympathetically to Marcus when the other man was volunteered. Sorry, dude. Nice knowing you.
