The door of the cage opened and Ulmuka tried to run. Willow made it out in front of him but he watched her quickly mowed down by the blonde human who was very well dressed.
Under other circumstances he'd commend his choice in apparel!
The strix screeched in anger but before he could attempt to retaliate he heard another shot and felt his leg go dead. The strix stumbled and hit the ground just as the pain kicked in. Muka tried to crawl now, letting out an otherworldy howl of pain. He crawled towards the hunters, claws swiping towards them until the second shot rang out.
The strix's head hit the floor with an audible thud. His golden eyes, ever wide and staring, remained so even as they dulled in death.

He couldn't fathom what had happened to Joachim. Merope didn't even fully comprehend what was happening to them even now.
