Khane made it to the entrance of the hotel with 5 minutes to spare. After a quick scan with his senses to locate Denira, he walked into an alley nearby so he wouldn't be seen doing what he was about to do.
Once he was sure no one could see him, he faded through the darkness to the floor she was on, appearing near the elevators. He walked towards her and made sure she would be able to notice him when he got to her.

Khane nodded, pleased with her work. "Good job. I'll only be a few minutes." He said before stepping up to the door. He seemed to hesitated at the latch, but after a soft click, he opened the door and stepped inside.
It was several minutes later before he came out again waving to the man in the room. "Alright... Our business is concluded here, so we'll meet somewhere else for your pay. Go ahead and leave without me. I'll find a way to get out soon. It shouldn't be too difficult."

Khane chuckled and simply waved his hand. "Oh, I won't be needing it any more after this. Besides, I believe I've found something else worth taking an interest in." He said before turning and walking away. "I'll meet you outside the entrance."
The photo burst into black flames when he waved his hand, and fell as ashes to the ground. Oddly enough, though, it didn't feel hot or do any harm to her at all.

Khane again found a place to be alone before fading into the darkness again. Appearing in the alley he had been in earlier, he walked back to the entrance to wait for her.

"You did well. Better than I expected, actually." Khane said as he handed her the money. "I have a career in mind for you, actually, not just another job. However, I'm going to have to show you a few things before you commit to it. My job is very difficult and requires a lifetime of learning to know how to do it properly. You're free to accept or decline the job offer, however, what I'm going to show you will awaken something that has been hiding inside you since your birth. If you don't learn to control it, it will destroy you and everything around you." He warned, putting every effort into expressing how serious this was. "So... What will you do?"

Khane nodded, glad she was willing to attempt this. He extended his hand and a weapon appeared in a small cloud of white lights that faded. He then adjusted his grip and held out the hilt to her and spoke solemnly. "In your hand, take this key, and so long as you have the makings, it's wielder you shall one day be, and you will find me, friend. No prison will contain you, then. No more boarders around, or below, or above, so long as you champion the one's you love." He waited patiently for what would come next.

"And so it begins..." He whispered softly.
"Well... now that that's over with, I want you to follow me. And don't be afraid of what you see and feel. I am here, and I will not let you die." Khane declared in a serious tone. He turned and extended his hand again, but this time, a shroud of black energy sprang up from the ground and waited. Khane turned back to her with a final warning. "The reason I'm telling you so much now is because for you to come to terms with what will happen in these next few minutes, you will need to have absolute trust in me. Stepping through this portal will require you to take a leap of faith, and there's no going back to how it used to be."

The portal closed behind them, but what awaited them on the other side was... nothing. They stepped out(yes, stepped) into the vastness of empty space. The stars were visible all around them and no planets were nearby. There was literally nothing there, but they were walking and breathing as if they had never left the planet.
"This..." Khane announced, gesturing to the emptiness around them. "Is my home. The vast emptiness around us took me months to find and it has served me well whenever I grow weary of my observations." He walked forward and, somehow, began walking up something before stepping again so he looked like he was standing on an invisible ceiling. "Here, the forces of the universe bend to my will, and here is where you will learn to do the same." The gravity seemed to suddenly shift and Denira fell 'up'. Khane caught her in his arms before setting her down gently on a floor of nothingness.
