To be together across the far plane." Sorath blinked as he felt the weight of his sister be moved from his lap, looking just in time to see Ryoko placing Yumi in her lap. He noticed that she had finished eating, so he assumed she took Yumi so he could eat with a little more comfort. Eating what was left in his bowl, he placed it on top of her one before turning his attention to both girls. Seeing Ryoko smile just a little as Yumi giggled, Sorath too smiled. "Looks like she's taken a liking to you already." He said, lefting a hand slowly and rubbing the back of his head. "Better watch out though, she's going through a bit of a pulling phase and...well I'm pretty sure she's ripped out enough hair from both mom and I to make a wig." He said light-heartedly, but wasn't joking when he told her that. He was somewhat glad that the little girl had managed to put a smile on Ryoko's face, even if it was only a small one, in the back of his mind he admitted to himself that her smile was quite cute. "No fiend of any shape or size,

And you don't wear my chains, oh yeah  ►◄►◄►◄►◄►◄►◄►◄►◄►◄►◄ Ryoko looked up at Sorath, but before she could tell him that was fine her head suddenly jolted forward. Her eyes were a bit wide as she looked at Yumi who had a hand full of long black hair. She blinked a few times at the little girl before Yumi started to tug on Ryoko's hair. Ryoko's left eye closed as her hair from the left side of her head was tugged on. Compared to every pain she's been through she had to admit that this pain was one of the nicer ones. "I think she's starting to make a wig for me, too..." Ryoko said, a light smile still on her lips as her hair was tugged. She got Yumi to release her hair after a few minutes and settling on playing with her fingers and occasionally pulling at her shirt.

To be together across the far plane." Sorath too blinked when Yumi pulled at Ryoko's hair, he was suprised she managed to locate a bunch close enough for her to grab onto so quickly. When Ryoko spoke, Sorath couldn't help but chuckle light-heartedly. If the pulling was getting too much, Sor would've tried to intervene somehow, but the smile on Ryoko's lips told him that she didn't mind. "Well at least you managed to get her to stop quickly, you get to keep your hair for today." He told her cheerfully, watching as the baby girl sat quite happily in her lap. In all honesty, he was amazed by how easily Yumi had settled in being held by a stranger, he figured that she didn't understand the concept of what people you didn't know could potentially be like. Secretly, Sorath was mentally thanking Yumi, her presence seemed to rid the room of silence, plus she was doing a better job at making Ryoko smile than he had done. "You're doing pretty good at keeping her entertained, have you spent much time around babies before?" He asked, deciding that he shouldn't just let the conversation die, especially now when the mood was on a bit lighter than earlier."No fiend of any shape or size,

Yumi seemed pretty content to just play with Ryoko's fingers or the black lace on her dress that Yumi pulled at. She looked up at Sorath and shook her head. "No...not really." She normally wasn't around little kids all that often. Yumi's small hands were holding onto both of Ryoko's index fingers and she moved her hands up in down, in turn moving Yumi's arms up and down to keep the little girl happy and entertained. "I think...I heard somewhere that baby's could tell if a person is good or not...something like that, but I don't remember where." Her voice wasn't quite as soft as it had been, now falling between soft and the normal level someones voice would be at. She seemed pretty happy, just smiling lightly at the little girl that kept giggling and laughing for almost no reason.

To be together across the far plane." The small giggle that escaped Ryoko's lips made Sorath smile even more. Just like Yumi's, it was an innocent one, seemingly void of any unhappiness. When she answered his question, he simply nodded, he himself wasn't around any others besides his sister and still managed to keep her entertained, much to the dismay of Sor's desire to keep the majority of his hair attatched to his head. Watching the two play, he thought about Ryoko's statment about babies and smiled warmly. "Well then if that's true, you're one of the good ones according to Yumi, I'd have to agree with her there." He said happily. Even if it were true though, Sorath could tell that Ryoko was a good person, regardless of whatever happened before they met, she just had that sort of look about her."No fiend of any shape or size,

She was being careful to not move her injured arm too much, not wanting the pain to come while she was actually happy. "When does she need to go to bed?" She asked, glancing out the window to see it was starting to get late. The little girl seemed to be a bundle full on energy that was slowly decreasing.

Sorath saw that Ryoko was being careful not to strain her arm, he was actually a little suprised that she could do what she was doing without even wincing a little, he knew he'd be doing that if her were in her shoes. Pondering her question for a moment, he found his answer in the form of the clock downstairs, lightly chiming eight times. "Generally around eight thirty. Most days she'll tire herself out very soon but that's when she'll have to at least be in her crib." He said, looking down at Yumi and smiling, lightly running his hand through the small tuft of hair on the little girl's head. "Hopefully she'll tire out tonight, I just can't bring myself to make her go to sleep when she doesn't want to." He said light-heartedly. It was obvious to anyone that Sor had a soft spot for his baby sister, even his friends knew that he'd probably spend time cheering her up on a bad day way before even considering to do school work and the like."No fiend of any shape or size,

The little girl seemed to be starting to tire herself out now and she figured Yumi would be put to bed around that time. She laughed lightly at Sorath and nodded, understanding how he couldn't put Yumi to sleep. She noticed the soft spot the boy held for his sister and was glad to see there were still good older siblings in the world.

To be together across the far plane." Sorath smiled as Ryoko laughed before slowly sliding himself off of the bed. Once off, he stretched lightly before turning back to the two girls. "Well, I think she's just about ready to call it a night. C'mon, her room's this way, just a little further down the hall." He said, indirectly indicating that he trusted her enough to carry Yumi if she wanted to. Although he had no reason to doubt the capabilities of others in terms of carrying babies, he always had a slight worry when it came to Yumi, he was supposed to be the responsible older brother after all. Seeing Yumi play so happily with Ryoko earlier, he took it as a sign that she was one of the few that he would readily allow to do such a thing without a fuss.

She was getting a bit attached to the little girl, probably because the only way a baby could harm her is by yanking her hair. She looked at Sorath once again and nodded. She scooped up Yumi into her arms, making sure she held the baby girl properly before she started to follow after the older boy. She was being careful not to trip over anything and that she wouldn't drop the precious bundle that was in her arms.

To be together across the far plane." Sorath couldn't help but smile warmly as he watched Ryoko carry Yumi, turning around and leading her out of the room. At the second door on the left from where the spare bedroom was, Sorath stopped in front of it and opened the door, gesturing for Ryoko to go in. "Ladies first." He said cheerfully. Yumi's bedroom was a little smaller than the other, although that may have just been an illusion due to the sheer number of large stuffed animals that circled the room. Just off center was Yumi's crib, simple and neat, perhaps a little sterile in the eyes of some. Once all three of them were in, Sor went over to the window, carefully drawing the curtains until only a small slither of light would enter tomorrow morning. Turning back to Ryoko and Yumi, something caught his eye that made him smile once more. "You must be quite comfortable for her to do that." He said, this time in a low but happy whisper as he nodded to Yumi. In the time between making their way to her room and actually being in there, the baby girl had fallen fast asleep, resting her head lightly against Ryoko's shoulder."No fiend of any shape or size,

She stopped, eyes a little wide as she glanced around at all the stuffed animals in the room. Ryoko looked back at the boy in confusion, not sure what he was talking about until she looked at Yumi. She hadn't even noticed that Yumi had fallen asleep on her shoulder. She didn't look back at Sorath, already scolding herself for not noticing that Yumi had fallen asleep, but she didn't mind. She walked over to the crib, gently laying Yumi down inside it and pulled the blanket over her.

To be together across the far plane." Sorath smiled back, walking to the opposite side of the crib and helping tuck Yumi in. Once done, Sor once again ran his hand gently through his sister's hair. "Y'know, I'm suprised she hasn't had a go at tugging her own hair yet." He whispered happily before looking up at Ryoko. "Thanks, I probably wouldn't have been able to keep her occupied for this long without you." He said happily, still in a tone low enough so to not wake the sleeping Yumi. After one last glance down at the girl, Sorath jerked his head lightly towards the door, figuring that they should probably give Yumi some peace and quiet for now.

She followed after him, but along the way tripped over a stuffed animal and stumbled forward out into the hallway and then into the wall. She wan't hurt or anything exact for her arm after catching herself against the wall which applied some presser to the cut. She looked off to she side a bit embarrassed from tripping, her cheeks turning a little red.

To be together across the far plane." As the two left the room, Sorath turned his attention to Ryoko just in time to see her stumble and catch herself on the wall. Knowing which arm she had to use to do so, Sor was beside her in just a few quick steps. "You okay?" He asked, glancing over at her arm to make sure no blood was dripping. Helping prepare a needle for stitches was one thing, actually doing it was something Sor just couldn't do without fear of completely messing it up and hurting Ryoko. From the looks of it, the stitches held, but Sor had yet to hear her answer. Turning his attention to her face, he saw the blush across her cheeks, he tilted his head lightly. He didn't need to ask the same question again, but it was tempting considering it would be for why she was blushing instead of if she was hurt."No fiend of any shape or size,
