He really was unsure of what exactly she was asking. But maybe it was..."well, as they are my pets I view them as different from normal prey. And all of them were gifts or homework. And now I know how to tell if creatures have an owner or not...mostly I just eat rats though."

Not that there was anything wrong with that. Rats were delicious (if not as delectable as spiders). Princess Eva agreed with him at least, so all of his pets were fed a nice, steady diet of rat.

Da Li chose that moment to come bounding up clumsily, absolutely covered in splattered dirt and mud, tongue lolling happily.

The cycorgi under her care was in no better shape than Da Li. The former herb bed was really in bad shape now.

And much of it would depend on whether a boil would even have the resources to feed and house one. And even if they did obtaining permission to have a pet would be a major ordeal."

Da Li really needed to get clean. And mud was wet...right? That meant the first thing to do was stand directly between the two owners and shake herself as vigorously as possible.
