THE CAVE OF DARKNESS
((You feel a slight breeze as the claustrophobic hall opens out again. And are your eyes deceiving you, or can you see again? This section of the cavern is lit very faintly. Up ahead, you think you can make out a short, wide opening near the floor. It is about as tall as a student lying on his stomach, and lined with chilly mud. ))
"DID YOU KNOW....ITS A LOT LIGHTER IN HERE?!?!?" The Lepus guide shrilled. Night blinked as he too noticed that it was getting a lot brighter to his cat eyes. Blinking again, he smelt a hint of fresh air and grinned.
"Always trust the nose buddy." He spoke to the Lepus guide before tapping his nose, "I could smell fresh air from that damp dark cave path a while back."
And then he saw the next step in the path, was that? He growled as he saw the wet dirt, mud whatever and the small opening he would have to go through. Sigh, he tucked the lepus guide closer.
"DID YOU KNOW...THERE IS A FLAG THERE?" The guide didn't say where excatly, causing Night to stretch his arms around, digging in the mud for the stupid thing. Great, now he was covered in it. "I got it you stupid thing." Night held it up after frowning. He was so done with the mud now.

THE CAVE OF DARKNESS ((You walk and walk and walk, turning corners strategically and coming up against dead end after dead end. Eventually someone finds you and leads you out. ; wink )
Night, after caking himself in mud looked around at the faintly dimmed cavern and set upon another course. He took a left...and then a right....turning this way and that. Every time he moved though, he was met with a wall of rock and water. Hissing, he turned on his heel to try again.
"Did you know...that your lost?" The lepus guide stated obviously.
"I'm not lost!" Night frowned. Maybe if he heightened the aura on his body, it would help him see the paths better?

Night frowned deepened.
He was lost. A cat knew when he was lost.
"SOMEONE COME HELP ME......" Night whined and sat down in the middle of the course. Eventually a gnome came by too a sleeping cat and poked him awake. He headed over to the the rest of the group when they escorted him back out.
"Guys, I got three of them." He took the three off before stretching. Oddly enough, the Lepus guide on his back was quiet. It looked like it was used for a pillow and was currently choking on inhaling all of Night's hair? Hairball. Gross.

Bonus Mechanic: If your student is in Y1, this course is a little hard for them! They stumble and slip up a few extra times! Roll a 6-sided dice prior to the run. If you roll a 1 or 6, you instantly fail this course.

THE WATER LAKE Result: 5 - 1 = 4
You will need to gather your materials, walk out to the end of the nearby pier, and dive in. Unfortunately, it can't ever be as easy as it sounds. The pier is in a terrible state and the vines and reeds reach out to snatch at your body and clothing. It sure does seem like the lake doesn't want you swimming here... 4-6: You make it past all of the shady-looking planks and jump off of the pier, but find yourself entangled in some particularly knotted vines. You can't even touch the water from here! (Fail)
Lacie peered inside the two crates, tiptoeing due to her short height. Water.. swimming? Stepping gingerly, Lacie was afraid, more than once, that she would simply slip through the planks. She didn't even know how to swim. Would she ended up drowning..? o___o
She didn't end up that far.. jumping off the pier with a hesitant stance. But she fell among the green restraints, finding herself trapped. ?Ah.." Lacie wasn't able to obtain any flags after all. "Sorry."

Jungle Field Area: Jungles are more difficult to navigate through than they appear. Try and find the correct path without getting lost.
Result: Stage 01 → 26-50 - After searching for what seemed like hours, you find what appears to be a trail marker. Or not. Looks like it was just a warning sign for poisonous plants. ( fail )
Apparently, poisonous plants could be inhaled rather than eaten as well for Vaith.

The Cave of FIAH
Aurian felt like weeping when she wound up facing down the Cave of Fire again. Forget the beach, this was the trial that clearly wanted her dead!
Once again she removed her boots. "Don't fall, don't fall, don't fall," she muttered to herself. The soles of her feet were heating up already. There was no sense wasting more time. Aurian took off. This time she was careful to balance speed against the care needed to not fall flat on her face (again). Somehow she made it to the first checkpoint.
"Ow, ow, ow!" Slowing down to grab the first flag was not fun. Tucking it into a belt, Aurian continued on.

The Cave of FIAH
Aurian screamed when the first geyser erupted a few metres ahead. Why was everything hot? And now not just the floor, but scalding water in the air trying to kill her. Aurian threw herself to the side to avoid the column of water. In exchange, the obstacle course threw another one up in her new path.
Her run became less of a straight path and more of a zig-zag. Her feet did not appreciate the increased mileage. Aurian found herself thankful that she wasn't in her boots - she might have twisted an ankle by now with all these sharp turns.
This time Aurian didn't bother slowing down. When she spied the flag, she ran at it head on, ducking to the side at the last minute and snapping up the piece of fabric.

The Cave of FIAH
Aurian wanted to jump the fish bowl, if only she was small enough. Water would be nice right about now - she missed that stupid beach. The ring in the bowl was clearly the objective, though. Aurian grabbed the flag that was next to the bowl. Unfortunately, as she reached in for the ring (dancing from foot to foot because it was hot hot hot!) the cave roof collapsed on top of her.
Shifting to shadow form, Aurian slunk out from under the rocks. Crawling out of her own shadow, Aurian eyed the pile of rubble. Well, so much for whatever she was meant to do with the ring. At least the course was over. She could get off this hot floor and this time she actually had some flags to show for her troubles.
