Still grinning and reveling in the uplifting feeling of not being miserable and depressed for the first time in a while, he lifted his own orange kazoo with a cheery, "POOBBT PAH POOOOOBBBBT!"

Sasha giggled madly, bright-eyed with giddiness. She hoisted her own kazoo to her lips - pinky up! - and answered Jerry's call with one of her own.
"VRRROOOOOOOBT BUH BROOOOPT!!"
And then she started giggling like a maniac.

"VRRUUUBBAOOOOAA-aahahahaahahah!" Jerry cackled, indeed looking like the crazy person Nona had accused him of looking like. "We're going to be a dangerous duo, I can tell already," He beamed in amusement.

"Aww, there's no danger in fun, right?" Clearly she didn't understand how ah.. annoying the kazoos could be. Sure, they weren't the most elegant of instruments, but they were fun!
Sasha grew a little somber.
<Don't you dare.>
Sasha set her jaw in determination.
<Oh. You.. you are a horrid little thing!>
The trainee's brows lowered a bit.
<If you have any fondness in your heart for your Nona, you will banish the thought!>
Sasha opened her arms, reached forward, and enveloped Jerry in a quick little hug. "Thanks for being my friend, Jerry." A huge smile spread across her face.
Nona began wailing abruptly.

Jerry's breath caught in his throat at the sudden hug, and time seemed to slow for a moment. By the time he remembered to breath again, it was over. His face was beet red, his scars standing out like candy stripes across his cheek, "Ah... ah... n-not a problem at all, it's... it's my pleasure," He smiled weakly, fiddling with the kazoo. "It's um. It's uplifting. Finding um. Someone else who ah..." He mentally edited, "Is a music enthusiast."

There was a long silence that stretched as Sasha just kind of stared at Jerry. It was probably an awkward one, but it was almost as if Sasha had zoned out completely.
He's blushing.
No answer from Nona.
Gosh. I hope I didn't upset him.
Still no answer.
Nona?
<Oh. These scars on his face, they look so horrible. Nona gets so distracted by them.>
Do you think I upset him?
<...yes. Very much. We should leave now, my dove. He looks... the violent sort.>
Sasha snorted and gave Jerry an apologetic smile. "Sorry. It... you know. Nona likes to talk. Sometimes it's hard to keep track of things. She thinks you look violent. That's ... well, that's just ridiculous." Sasha fussed with the kazoo before slipping it into the pocket of her jacket.
"Sometimes I wish there was an off button." She smiled sheepishly. "I should.. stop.. I should stop wasting your time. I'm sure you have important things that need doing."

"Oh, tell me about it," Jerry laughed weakly, happy for the subject change although he did wonder just what the weapon was saying, "Roar is generally quiet, thankfully, but he uh. Does give bad advice as often as possible," He gave a crooked smile before his expression flickered, "I ah... I'm really not... I mean. I am a Sun and everything, but I'm usually... That thing with Rep for instance that um. Really wasn't usual for me. You're not wasting my time at all! I've um. Been going through some um. Rough patches and um. It's been good. Making new friends. You got me excited about my project again at least!"

Sasha gave Jerry a very concerned look.
"If you ever need to talk, Jerry. I mean. I know you probably have best friends like Robert, you know, but." She lifted her slender shoulders in a shrug.
"I'm always here to listen. Ah... or to play the kazoo with you." She patted her pocket with a slight grin. That grin faded into something almost vaguely mean-looking as she leaned in close, as if to divulge a great secret.
"Sometimes Rep is kind of mean. And.. you know, when you punched him?" She narrowed her eyes.
"I bet he deserved it."

Jerry's smile relaxed a bit, still fiddling with his kazoo between nervous fingers, "I'm sure there were better ways I could have handled it but... ahahaha. Better you say it than me." He drew in a quick breath, perking up immediately before reaching to give her shoulder a fond pat, "Thank you, Sasha. I'll keep it in mind, but the most I'd like from you is to stay on my case to get the Choir launched! I keep getting... side tracked."

"We should put up fliers. Slip them under doors, and even hang them around the cafeteria." Sasha gave him a stern-ish look that lasted all of three seconds before her face broke out in a smile once more.
"Do you think that's possible? Fliers with a date and time for like.. tryouts?"
Man, sometimes she was so clever. Sasha beamed.
"I can work on them on my own time, after duties. I have markers in my dorm. Paper too!"

"Might be a productive way to spend Pod Duty together sometime!" He beamed, absolutely loving the idea. "That sounds most excellent! Honestly regarding try outs... we might CALL it try outs but, I'll be happy if anyone but us shows up, ahahaha. We'll just use it to figure out placement for people. Killzone said he might have something that would help too!"

"Well, I think the sooner we start working on it, the better." She gave one sharp, abrupt nod.
"Ah... Killzone?"
Well that sounded plain menacing. Killzone. Gosh.

"He's er... s-sort of um. The Island therapist, ahahaha..." He murmured quickly, glancing away casually to try to hide his look of embarrassment.

"He er..." Jerry hesitated, staring up at the ceiling intently as he tried to articulate a simple way to explain him, "Really.... likes... dolphins? And um. Spirituality?"
