Does the bonus save you get from the weather have to be used on something labeled as a 'fail', or can it be used for an extremely bad roll in one of the HP courses? Ex:

1- You’ve not only slipped on the ice, but with no grip you’re sent back to start by the strong winds! It hurt too! (-5 HP, Lose ALL YOUR FLAGS/ return to start)

Do the saves stack for Day 3?
eg. Doing the Snow Run course with the +1 save from the weather conditions combined with the +1 save from having Beginner's Stealth =2 saves?

If we have to roll more than once for a single round in a course do we take -5 hp from each roll or just each round?

Unfortunately it only saves you from a FAIL :T

IF the round is multi-stepped then its just each round.

Yep! All saves stack with the saves for day 3 (but you can't stack past saves from previous days obviously)

If your student has shadowstep for their natural ability, can they use that in place of beginner speed boost on the rock climbing course?

Edit: and if your student got pit-falled, can they escape the infirmary to sit in the stands and watch the rest of the trial?

D: No to shadowstep, only the speed boost.

And if you student got pit falled (FAIL) they got rescued and is now in the infirmary.
