Rosie listened in silence as Luke explained how they had gotten out, her forehead still creased in worry.

Before she could say anything though, the voice of guy brought Rosie's eyes around, and she pushed herself to her feet, remembering not to get to close to Guy before she made to step forward.
Instead she stepped away a little, so that guy could feel more comfortable approaching his friend. her hands moving down to clutch at the sides of her half skirt nervously.

Still, she didn't say anything as Asch was brought up again, her eyes now leaving the two boys, though they looked momentarily distant.

"Well it's not like I planned my day around it," Luke offered, half-entertaining the half-joke with a passing shrug. It was sort of hard to laugh about it any more enthusiastically, though, as recently as the whole ordeal had taken place. Phrases like 'fractured arm' had yet to gain any significance to him, and his thoughts often wandered to Asch. Apparently Guy's did as well, and Luke's gaze found the opposing wall as he searched for his response.

"I don't know, exactly... Natalia went off a little while ago to find out. He was unconscious by the time we got here. Said something about a broken leg, but it seemed like he'd hit his head too." There was a short sigh, and his attention shifted to include Rosie, as if remembering her presence from her movement. He shuffled the positioning of his feet.

"Didn't seem like he had Vahy'n with him," he said offhandedly, thinking back on the underground river and how the water-type would have come in handy in its crossing.

Blue eyes drew back into focus when Luke moved, and she glanced up to meet her friend's gaze. Drawing her eyebrows up to give him an acknowledging look. Wondering if he needed something.

But her high features slowly drifted back down when he told her that Asch didn't have Vahy'n.
The blond looked down, her hands closing tighter on her skirt.

It would have been too much to hope for really, she even had to see that, but even so, hearing it being confirmed and just reminded that her Vaporeon was still so far out of her reach made her chest hurt.

Rosie nodded softly to show that she understood, but didn't say anything.

She put a smile back on her face when she looked back up at them, turning to look down the hall that Natalia had gone.
It sounded like Asch really had been hurt badly, despite how she felt about the young man, she didn't like that anyone was in pain. she was worried enough that Luke's arm was broken.

A small smile flickered on Guy's face for an instant in response to Luke's half-reply, but it turned back downward into a slight frown as Luke relayed the current information about Asch's condition. He glanced away for a moment or two, not meeting Luke's gaze. "...I see," he said tentatively. "Well, at least it's not worse, I guess." Guy had to wonder what exactly transpired between Luke and Asch, particularly if they were trapped with each other, but he didn't want to pressure his friend with details now. They had more things to worry about.

Luke's mention of the absence of Vahy'n only made Guy wince. He could only imagine how hurt Miss Rosie must feel about it all... He turned his gaze back upward to glance at Miss Rosie. She was smiling, and Guy gave her a small smile back.

As he sat in silence, another thought came to mind. What was Asch doing out in the forest with Luke anyway? Someone as serious as him wouldn't just go for a lackadaisical stroll; he would have been searching for something. And here he was now, a thief, injured and virtually helpless. How were they all going to handle this?

"Hey, guys," Guy started, "what are we going to do about Asch? Y'know, considering... who he is and all." He turned back around to look at Luke beside him. "It's not like we can just let him go."

It was true; it could have been worse. It could have been much worse. If the tree had fallen differently, or if Luke had been closer to the center of the collapse, or if the hole had been deeper, or if the tunnels all dead-ended, or if the river had flooded the pit-- The possibilities were practically endless, and Luke could really only be thankful that both of them had gotten back alive when he considered that.

Guy's question raised a matter that Luke had been unable to think about wholeheartedly since arriving at the Sandalwood hospital. He frowned. "What can we do...?" Asch was a thief; none could question that. Thieves were criminals, and criminals were to be arrested. But if they turned him in to the police now, when he didn't have Vahy'n with him, what were the chances they would ever get the Vaporeon back? Besides, it wasn't as though he could do any harm when he was bound in the hospital - they could even use it as an opportunity to get information from him. There was also the question of Natalia and how she would react to the idea of contacting the police, let alone if they could even prove to the police on contacting them that Asch was indeed a criminal. It was true that they couldn't let him go, yes... but what did that leave them?

Rosie looked from Guy when he asked the question, then turned to Luke.
There was a long silence as he seemed to go over options i his head, but ultimately came out with another question.

"Well... We have to tell someone." She said finally, looking between them. "Tell Steven, tell the police." The blond trainer made it sound so obvious, like she had no doubt in her mind that this is what they needed to do.
"I know he's really hurt right now, and I really hope he pulls through, but if he's Team Rocket, then we can't just let him go."

Guy looked from Luke to Miss Rosie as each voiced their thoughts on the matter. The swordsman gently bit his lip in thought. Miss Rosie was correct: they had to some someone, at the very least. They had a criminal in custody, and if they kept him around when he wasn't hospitalized, they would be harboring a felon. As far as the law was concerned, they had only one option: turn Asch into the authorities. But... A small, desperate part of Guy hesitated. He knew what Asch had done, and he knew that he was part of Team Rocket, but he also remembered Asch as who he was all of those years ago. Much to his own frustration, Guy still felt a shred of caring for the young man. He was at a loss.

Exhaling heavily, Guy shook his head. "You're right," he said to Miss Rosie. "We have to do something about him eventually. I... don't know what we'll do yet, but I'm sure we'll figure it out soon." He tried to put on a convincing, confident smile for his friends, but even he could tell that his facade was feeble.

"...Do you think that we should go and talk to him?" he asked Luke and Rosie. "He won't be any threat if he's injured, and we might be able to find out some things. I dunno - it's at least something we can do right now."

They had to tell someone. Of course they had to tell someone. Everything aside, the individual who had been hospitalized was a member of Team Rocket, and this was something of which they were all aware. They couldn't in good conscience let him go. It just... felt strange. Like it didn't sit right. Maybe it would sit more correctly when the jerk was vertical and throwing insults around and generally being a nuisance, but for now Luke was direly tangled in a web of moral ambiguity. This wasn't a decision he wanted, or even knew how, to make, and his hesitation lingered in his features.

Guy's suggestion offered a way out, even if only temporarily. "It's worth a shot," he murmured, offering a vague half-nod in agreement.

Rosie nodded in agreement to Guy's sudgestion as well, knowing that this wasn't going to be as cut and dry as it really should be... this was Luke's brother.
and this was the first time they had a Rocket in a position where they would ultimately decide what happens to him.

This was going to be difficult.

"Alright." Rosie said quietly, glancing around and taking the lead to where the room Natalia was in with Asch

By the time the others started making their way to his room, Asch's parched throat had been relieved and he now rested in silence. He had little to say, even to Natalia. The red head staring distantly at a wall until his eyes fell closed. It didn't take him long to realize what sort of a position he was in right now. For him, it wasn't looking all that great. He cursed himself for getting into this situation, but there was little helping it.. especially right now. Asch was in no shape to go anywhere, and even if he tried, he certainly wouldn't get far.

Guy followed Miss Rosie as she led the way to Asch's room, all the while thinking about what had happened and what on earth they were going to say to him once they were there. What would they ultimately decide on? When it came right down to the root of the situation, they now held Asch's fate in their hands. But... Even now, Guy was unsure as to what he really wanted. Asch was a Rocket - this was a cold fact. Asch was a thief - he had stolen Vahy'n from Miss Rosie.

But Asch was also Luke's brother. And he had once earned Miss Rosie's trust. And Lady Natalia seemed to side with Asch no matter what. And Guy had to admit to himself... Asch was his former master, and there was the smallest part of him that cared for the b*****d.

What were any of them supposed to do?

They had finally reached Asch's room, and Guy tentatively stepped across the threshold. He did not look at Asch, keeping his eyes on the floor instead. Guy stood in the corner to allow Luke and Miss Rosie in, staying silent all the while. They just had to... see what would happen, he mused.

Luke lingered at the back of the small procession, somehow reluctant to follow at all. They'd talk to Asch, and then they'd have to make a decision. Maybe it would be an easier choice once they had had words with the other redhead. Hopefully it would. He considered, as they walked, simply stopping, excusing himself as tired or sore - both truths, in fact - and leaving the hospital altogether. Let Rosie and Guy and Natalia make the decision. They probably knew better than him anyway. He continued to linger, continued to hesitate, consciously separating himself from the other two even as his feet unconsciously continued to push him forward. Somehow, he wound up in the room alongside his friends in spite of all his desires and intentions. He kept his gaze down and his words silenced.

Once Asch had finished drinking, Natalia had taken a seat by Asch's bed, putting one of her hands on top of one of his and the other lay on her lap. While she wanted to know what happened from Asch's point of view, she kept quiet for now. When Luke, Guy and Rosie walked in she briefly wondered if they would get in trouble with the nurse in a short bit since it was only supposed to be two visitors at a time but put that thought away.

She gave the group a small smile though she was a bit worried about how this will go. Last time any of the three had met up with Asch it hadn't gone over well.

It was unnerving how quiet things got as they walked, none of them seemed to really know what to say, or what to do.
They stepped into the room, just as wordlessly and stopped once they were gathered into the room. letting the awkwardness linger.

Rosie didn't have her eyes down though, the moment she was in the room, bright blue instantly found the man laying in the bed, and the condition he was in.
Her heart hurt for the pain he must be feeling, but it hurt just as badly for the pain he had inflicted onto her and those she cared deeply for.

Rosie looked to Natalia, and offered her a gentle smile in return, giving a kind gesture to her friend before moving a more uncertain, but gentle demeanor to Asch again.
"... Hi Asch, how are you feeling?"

Hearing several sets of footsteps, Asch opened his eyes and turned to look, seeing the trio of visitors approaching. He viewed them in silence for several moments with a straight face. Although his eyes did narrow slightly as he saw his brother cowering in the back of the group. His gaze then turned to Rosie as she first spoke.

Pulling his hand away from Natalia's, he laid it instead across his stomach, mouth turning down in a frown. He looked the girl in the eyes for a few moments, as if trying to read her.

"Don't even pretend to care about how I'm feeling," he said in a hardened tone. "All you want is your Vaporeon back, right? Well, that's too bad, because I don't have her."
