soren_alenko ]A turian/human baby would never happen. It's about as likely as a bear/frog baby. Sorry to burst your bubble. At least there's DeviantArt for that. Bah! You should never say never when it comes to science fiction wink

My iterpritation of the ending are as followed. White in order to keep spoilers.
"Hello I'm an out of nowhere WTF star child from Highlander the Source and I made the Reapers a race of synthetics to destroy organic life in order to keep synthetic life from destroying organic life. Also ever thing Harbinger said ment nothing so here is the final choice from Deus Ex and I'm going to go smoke a doobie peace."

soren_alenko But Garrus/Shepard say that themselves (the whole turian/human baby not happening, not the bear/frog thing). *shrug* Their conversation was entirely based on presumption, for all we (And they! XD) know it could be possible. I mean, heck, we're talking about a series which breaks biological rules all the time. Plus I already started writing it ... XD

What sucks about the endings is that.... they basically don't take into account your decisions throughtout all the 3 games at all. A series that spent so much time on making the game special...where just about every little decision made a difference and then BOOM the most important part, the ending, has absolutely nothing to do with all your choices in any of the games. There's a video on the ytube where they show all 7 endings at the same time and it's RIDICULOUS how damn similar they are ... like wtf?
I'm cool with Shep dying... was kind of expected. On another note, I don't get how some of your teammates survive...espicially the ones running to the beacon. I'm not going to complain a whole lot, since I was kind of glad to see my lovely Kaiden and Garrus alive but still (if they are in fact alive and that's not some heaven of some sort >_> ).... it kind of made no sense. They are there without a scratch when they came down fast with my Shep to the beacon. Anywho.... I also hate how the just kind of left the ending out there, where we are not quite sure what happens and what the hell this all means. You just kind of feel empty..... I really hate it when stories end that way gonk

I've been thinking about this a lot over the last couple of days and playing Bioshock 2 again made me realise it a little more abruptly.
Warning, there are uncensored spoilers for Bioshock 2's ending below so don't read if you want to play it!
Now, I'm using Bioshock 2 as an example because it too has a bitter sweet ending, the difference is that Bioshock 2 did it the right way!
Bioshock 2 didn't need three games to get you attached to the protagonist, no, it took only a few levels for you to feel for the poor guy given what's happened to him in the past; watching as Delta observes some crazy woman suffocate his 'daughter' you do feel a slightly pang of concern for her, providing you liked him, you get a feeling in the pit of your stomach when Sinclair lurches up to the window in Big Daddy gear and then as you watch Delta struggle with all his strength to reach Eleanor you can feel how hard he's trying.
In short, Bioshock 2 is about the emotional experience of it, heck, even playing the ending today I went from chuckling one minute to being near tears at the ending.
Mass Effect 3 by comparison didn't manage to summon that level of emotion, it was flat. Saying goodbye to Garrus did choke me a bit but the actual ending just left me wondering if there was more.
It was disappointing.

Demon Days genetically/biologically speaking, it would be impossible... but hey; it's sci fi. maybe a test tube baby or something? Precisely. We're talking about a universe where severe facial scars can be healed and someone can be rebuilt from brain death.
