Robert did not feel chastised, however. He felt like his orders had just been clarified. Of course, the moment of embarrassment still turned him bright red when she pulled him away by the ear, but once that moment was over, he rubbed his ear and nodded sharply.
"Aye." The acknowledgement of Clarice's order was made, and Robert turned his wrath on their cameraman. Robert's fist tightened and reared, aiming for the glass of the lens, when the smell hit him, too. He winced, but that was the extent of his reaction, and he simply grabbed the camera and turned it down to the floor while his eyes searched for the source of the smell.
It wasn't clear where the stench was coming from, but sure enough, where there was rotting smell, there were bugs.
Lots of them.
They littered the streets, lining them with a dark filth that could have easily been mistaken for shadows in the dark. But they all had one thing in common; they were all dead.
He had little hope of surviving in an area where bugs couldn't make it.
"Clarice, the bugs are dying." Secrecy be damned. "We need to get these guys out of here."

Nodding at Robert's conclusion Clarice took a deep breath, "Right. I got this." Adjusting her shirt, the blonde sauntered back to the geeks. "Hey there fellas, I could help but notice that you're packing some impressive...equipment."
Tracing a coy line down the taller one's arm, she purred, "Maybe you could show me more, hmmm? Back at your ah...base."

There came a snort from Candace that she quickly stifled with a cough.
"Oh, Clarice~." She snickered.

Video Interview "Ehehehhe. I always knew I liked that woman." Clerise waggles her eyebrows at the camera, cackling wildly in her chair, clapping her hands together. "I could tell Candace was just as BLEEPing amused, you know?" She heaves a heavy sigh. "God, I would just love to BLEEP her BLEEPBLEEP and BLEEP--" The camera cuts out as Clerise makes some obscene hand gestures, giggling.

It seems the camera had finally decided, after a nice long shot of Clerise's behind, to pan back to see the further antics of the professional ghost hunters. The two of them had been entire unshaken by Robert's threat: while the other trainees talked, the camera could vaguely pick on the two ghost hunters as they muttered words such as "Kids these days" and "Do they really not know who we are?"
At Clarice's words, the two of them hesitated, Larry for a second lowering his own camera as he stared at a point lower that Clarice's face, which the current camera was more than happy to follow as well.
"Larry bad, we are professionals," Tim admonished, as the EMF gave an extra waaaaaaaaaaaaaa to emphasize the importance of the situation. He pulled his comrade to one side. "The spirits are angry, we need to find a way to get these civilians out of here before they cause any more damage, do you understand?" A blank stare from Larry. "Look, you gotta bribe em or something. Do you have that Sizzler gift card handy?"
"Hey, I earned that Sizzler gift card fair and square at the convention!" Larry seemed extremely offended. "I am not handing it over. And lady," he was referring to Clarice, "You need to get out of here for your own good. Now is not the time to be showing off your-"
The loud wail of their "EMF" interrupted any other conversation as the two of them jumped a foot into the air, and then began to swing the item around, following its noise.

Huffing a bit the blonde cocked her hip and watched the two nerdbusters mumble and bumble over the EMF reader with the judging eyes of judgement. Checking her FEAR scanner, her eyebrows shot up, and the assistant walked back to her group. The crunching of insects underneath her shoes and the accompanying smell had Clarice scrunching her nose. At least it wasn't mystery goo, but still, freaking nasty. Pointing a finger at Candace,Clerise and finally the camera, she said firmly, "Not one *beep!*ing word." She didn't bother with Robert since he seemed busy concentrating on something. Or was just being sullen. Sometimes she couldn't tell.
"Okay so there's definitely something still in the area, and the tweedle twins are more formidable than previously thought. I'm thinking we fire bomb their van." She paused and looked to the side, "Okay maybe that's a bit extreme. How's this: Robert, you grab their little EMF toy and run away really fast."

Quote: 81- 100: BOSS ENCOUNTER: - You spot a ??? figure clothed in tattered rags, though your weapon can sense its unnatural scent of Fear. It is clutching a something in its arms, which you slowly realise is actually a piece of rotting human bone. - BOSS MECHANICS: This boss has 75 HP. Every time you attack it (following the general battle rules), you TAKE 8 damage. Make sure to tally the boss's total HP (the damage you did to it) at the bottom of your post as well as your total HP and the damage you did that round. If the boss's HP hits 0, you have defeated it, and your team can now take the portal back. Clerise held up her hands at Clarice when told to say nothing, drawing a zipper across her mouth. She wasn't gonna say sheee itttttt. Not with THAT expression on her assistant's face. Since they weren't getting anywhere with Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Life trainee decided it would be a good idea to maybe...try and find something more interesting than nerds with tiny machines. In more than one way. Hah. She wasn't far from the pack when something caught her eye-- some figure. They were in some shabby clothing. Hobo, maybe? "Oi! The BLEEP you doin' out here, dude? This place isn't safe, or what the BLEEP ever." With flickering shadows licking at its feet, the figure turned towards her. It started staggering towards her. Balthazar, as soon as the strange figure did, started screaming at her-- demanding she get closer, actually. It was a good thing Clerise didn't trust the ravings of her weapon. Instead, she took off running back to the group. "Uhh. I think I found..." She raised her eyebrows at Clarice, hoping she'd get it, not wanting the twins to hear. "The BLEEPing...yeah." The redhead pointed at the direction she'd came-- Oh. Cool. The thing had followed her. Ok, maybe not cool.

Video Interview "I keep hearing that you're one of the worst shots in all of Deus. Is that why you stayed in Life?" "WHO THE *BLEEP* SAID SOMETHING LIKE THAT? *BLEEP*ING TELL ME MOTHER *BLEEP*ER OR SO HELP ME I'M GONNA FIND OUT WHERE YOU SLEEP AND I'M GONNA *BLEEP* MY *BLEEP* SO *BLEEP*ING HARD UP YOUR *BLEEP* YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO TASTE *BLEEP* FOR A WEEK YOU SON OF A *BLEEP*-" Clerise had found them a little playmate. The last thing Robert wanted to do right now was summon his weapon around civilians, but if he didn't, he risked putting both them, and his own teammates, in danger. Did Deus have a memory wipe? They had to have a memory wipe. Come on, H, all this time in those labs, perfecting the untraceable roofie, and not a memory wipe? He pulled Jezebel out of his pocket, and put his hand behind his back. At least the nerds would focus on the monster - if they could even see it. Still, when he summoned the batleth, he did so in secret, and pulled it out from behind his back to run charging, headfirst, at the monster. This would teach those sons of bitches back at the Labs to stop betting on his failures. HP: 50-8=42 Damage: 11

When Clerise walked away Candace didn't seem to notice. She was too busy being amused by the idiocy of these so called 'professionals'. It made her even prouder to be a hunter. "We should probably get their cameras, too." She told Clarice with a chuckle, grinning and glancing over at the men. Clerise's return did get noticed, however. "Found what?"Candace's gaze turned in the direction Clerise was pointing, her eyes widening at what she was pointing at. s**t. Robert ran in, actually hitting the ******** thing. Nice, Robert. Nice. Candace ran in after him, waiting until the last second to summon Atropos. She couldn't care less that there were witnesses for this, she was sure Clarice would know how to handle them. She jumped, admittedly showing off for the camera as she chose that moment to summon Atropos in a flashy show of badass glowing spinning kick. Video Interview Candace looked concerned, looking past the camera now. "What the hell? When did you get that black eye?""Don't worry about it. This is about you guys." "I don't know, man. That looks pretty nasty. You should get that checked out.""Well you're a Mist trainee. Want to play doctor with me?" "...Oh I know how you got it now." HP: 42 Damage: 7 Charge: 1/3; 0/2

Clerise let loose a whoop as Candace and Robert had blows connect with the...thing.
Well. When in Rome, right?
She charged, summoning Balthazar and-- promptly tripped as he fell to the ground like lead.
Someone was NOT happy with her for running earlier. Not happy at all.She was close enough for the thing to swipe at her, knocking her back a good five feet.
GOD WHY WAS THE WORLD SO AWFUL. SHEESH.

Seeing the attack and battle, Clarice decided to back her team up, "Dwight, make sure you get a shot of the fight, kay? I'll take care of the civilians." Racing to where the duo were, "Hey, hey guys..." She lifted her shirt. Apparently the Life assistant had trouble accepting personal failure. Unfortunately she forgot to pull her bra up as well, and thus the power of her action was muted. Flashing Power: 25 Video Interview "Even though it's fun to beat the s**t out of things that are all huge and awful and trying to kill you something bad? Sometimes you have to just stand back and support your team," Clarice sagely advised during the permission interviews. Smiling but serious, she continued, "Never underestimate the power of good support."

Robert's weapon hacked away at the figure, showing no mercy - for a while. Mercy was shown when Robert froze, batleth hovering above his head, and stared open mouthed at Clarice's flash. It was probably a very good thing she hadn't pulled up her bra. Robert wouldn't have been able to handle it.

In the background of the projected camera screen, somewhere a little past a zoomed in shot of Clarice lifting her shirt, and a little beyond the trainees summoning their weapons to engage in a sort of epic battle were the two Ghost Hunters, shouting excitedly. It was increasingly hard to hear them with all the other action going on, but some choice sentences occasionally made it through the battle scene.
"Dude tell that whore to stop flashing us!"-
"WHAT THE *BLEEP* WAS THAT?!
"HOLY *BLEEP* HOLY *BLEEP* DID YOU SEE THAT WHAT ARE THOSE WHAT IS GOING ON?"
"GET THE CAMERA ZOOMED IN ON THE GROUND SHAKING, GET THE CAMERA ZOOMED IN!"
"Hear us vengeful spirit, return to the land whence you came from, return to the earth! Return!"
The was a loud BLAM, as something fired into the air. It may or may not have hit Robert. (OOC: Damage to Robert with a shotgun loaded with salt: 4 (grazing shot) )
