Tybalt was about to say good job to Jove when the crab shifted again. This time, causing the black dog to fall from the crabs back and land on the sand with a muffled 'thud.' Which normally you think wouldn't be that painful, 'cause y'know, it was sand, but turns out it was.
"Owww...." Maybe riding crabs wasn't a good plan after all, though luckily for him, during his fall, he must have given the crab another good smack, because it was already leaving by the time he got back to his feet.
"Damn, it was a good plan.."

*** ROLL 4 20-sided dice*** THE TIDE COMES IN AND...
In which there was much screaming and flailing on the part of one Renaissance the Gryphon as he ran towards the castle attempting to somehow bodily block their precious building from the tides while simultaneously picking up Jove, throwing him over his shoulder, and carting him away from the rising water.
Needless to say didn't really work too well.

The ghost pup, still dizzy from his collision with the crab's hard shell, suddenly found the world spinning more insistently until he realized it was just Ren picking him up. Picking him out of the... water? His head was starting to clear as he watched the water slip back towards the sea, leaving behind damp sand where there had been dry grains before. Jove squirmed, slipping off Ren's shoulder and back onto his feet. It was by far the more preferable way to go. He had landed on his head too many times trying to get out of his brother's hold in a forward direction! For a second he leaned against Ren, steadying himself, and staring down at the two-sectioned prints his boots left in the wet sand under them. And then he looked up at the sandcastle. ^ ^ OAO
The pup promptly pushed himself out of Ren's grasp and scrambled to repair his poor, precious sandcastle. (( OOC:Foundation points earned in this post: 2 Total foundation points earned: 2 FOUNDATION REBUILDING TRY: 1/3 ))

Ren wasn't particularly happy about the fact that the tides had totally wiped out a huge chunk of their sandcastle. It had taken them forever to build the Jacking thing, and now, because of a little water, it was terribly disfigured.
He knew water was a horrible thing.
Putting an arm around Jove, Ren frowned at the now delapidated castle.

"Well, this sucks."

Even with the crabs driven off, the castle was still not safe. Not too long after they successfully defended their castle from a brutal attack, an even greater and larger force came at them.
"H-holy s**t!" Was all the black dog managed to squeak out as the tidal wave rushed directly at them and their castle. It was huge! Or at least it seemed that way to the miniature black dog. Though, did he stay to defend it? HELL NO. He ran for high ground as fast as his legs could carry him. Screw the castle! No way was he going to get swept out to sea with the castle! It was a lost cause!
Luckily, Tybalt somehow managed to clear the wave before it dragged him back with it. Unfortunately, he couldn't say the same for the castle.
"Heh daaamn." On the bright side... it was still standing--err mostly. That had to count for something, right? Still, some immediate repairs were needed, but even with that in mind, the black dog failed further by dropping the materials onto his foot.
"OOOHHH---YOU JACKDAMN PIECE OF--!!"

Ren, working on repairing the base of the castle, had started off well on rebuilding the castle, working on smoothing out the base and strengthening the walls.
"Started off" being the key phrase, since he took another ten minutes to scoop up sand.
And maybe throw some at Tybalt in the process.
Ren you are not helping.

Though his first attempt had been pitiful, the black dog was starting to go to work by patting the sand back into place. Though he was careful not to hit it too hard in case he made it crumble further. Which, to be honest, was proving to be a little hard when sand was being flung in his face.
"Ren you bas---" Before he could finish his sentence, the black dog sneezed loudly into the castle. "--tard." He finished with a sniff.

Looking to either side, Jove was reassured as Ren and Tybalt at least attempted to help put the castle back together. But it was slow going, Jove was among the tiniest students in the trials, and the wet sand was hard for him to move around. It had been easier when he was regular height...
And then the pup mentally kicked himself for not entering the trials in his older form at least!

It was official. Though Tybalt was putting effort into rebuilding the sand castle, it was right now, at this very moment that he dubbed that he did not like building sand castles. It was simply too much work, both to build and maintain. Not to mention Mother Nature constantly sending her army against them was proving to be more than annoying. If he ever had to build another sand castle, it would be too soon.

Jove had given up on picking up the sand, and instead rolled it along the ground to get it where it needed to go. It only took a little more effort to push it into place, fixing up some of the areas that had been the most damaged by the waves. He put extra care in there, knowing a second wave would do the same over again.
Pausing in his efforts, he glanced over at Tybalt and Ren to make sure they were staying on track. He wasn't going to be the only one working hard here!
And that's when he noticed... One of them wasn't working.
In fact, Jove hadn't seen LW since he had been knocked down by the giant crab. Had she been washed out by the wave? Or had she been stepped on by those nasty pointy crab legs? What if... something really bad had happened to her?
With a rather loud whine Jove abandoned building up the castle and began to pace around searching for the werewolf.

In which Ren stuck his tongue out (very maturely) at Tybalt, dropped something on his foot, and then followed Jove around looking for LW and whining piteously.

The she-wolf coughed yet again, spitting out the half gallon of seawater she'd swallowed. Stupid Jacking crab! Oh when she got her claws into that damn thing there was going to be fried crab for dinner! And now she was soaking wet, thanks to the tide that had come racing in - and the crab she'd been on decided to preform a back flop into the water. She had no idea what their sandcastle looked like until stalking back up towards it.
Just in time to see:
1) Ren vs the water 2) Tybalt squeak 3) Ren throw sand at Tybalt
And about then she was facepalming, catching sight of a worried pup. "You alright?" She asked Jove, flicking her tail to rid it of some water. Then giving Jove's 'shadow' (aka: Ren) a look. Why did it have to be the beach again?
With a sigh, she gave Jove a quick head pat and moved to start attempting to rebuild their sandcastle. It looked like the others had at least started repairing it! Well, best to get some more sand to use, right? LW snorted and then sneezed as she picked around at the sand.
