Nuru quietly enjoyed buttery pettings. He almost hadn't noticed they had a guest. Almost.
He sprung up as soon as Zar seemed to stop to greet Shenny, "Hey, hi, hello, have we met?"
Meanwhile the black dogs tail was wagging a mile a minute... and he was dripping with something that smelled suspiciously like butter.

Herryk finished swiping the butter from his hands onto his now-glistening pectorals. "Greetings," he called to the visitor, sounding rather resigned. "Herryk is all out of sunscream."

..and there was a number of them. Her attention was caught by a sexy demon with black horns wearing glasses. He looked quite sophisticated, and, at least she thought so, a little bit older than most of the students. With the calm confidence hidden in his eyes he could probably be a young professor. "Mmm... Demon". Shenny felt a warm wave rising inside her, and a soft trembling in her fingers. There was also a young ghost boil with a romantic look, and an undead draugr, who appeared to be pretty busy. "Ehm.. Hello." said Shenny to everyone putting a polite smile on her face. "I am Shenny. And that castle... very impressive! Do you think you have good chances?" Shenny had no idea what to add, especially since she wasn't qualified enough to comment the castle. May be it's her chance to learn more? She looked at the demon praying he would drag her into a deeper conversation.

Zar gave the ghoul a smile. He was rather fond of manners, they grounded him a good bit, especially in all the chaos that was going on. He could almost pretend he was dressed in more than just a loincloth and held himself up to his more confident bearing, tail curling behind him, giving away just a little bit of his embarassment at how they were all dressed.
"Hello." he stated, managing for the time being to confince himself he was in control, even despite wiping the butter sunscream on his claws off on his own skin. "I'm err.. Zar. And..." he glanced back at the castle with its impaled bird.
"Honestly? I have not a /clue/ if we have a chance. We haven't been told what we expect to face you see. The castle might fall over in a moment if its something huge."

"My pleasure to meet you, Zar", she replied softly. From all her experience, he couldn't be just a nice boil. Either he is a maniac, like that Valentino nerd, or an outcast in school, or... there might be something even worse about him. Though he was cute, she couldn't deny it. And his voice.. sounded as a promise of an adventure. Yet another one. "To tell the truth, I have nobody to root for, so I would root for you, if you don't mind. Do you have an idea of what is the prize for winning?", Shenny though a bit of flattering won't hurt. If she manages to impress the demon, he could be very useful in future. And either way, he was sort of enjoying himself. And that probably made him a really good company.

Zar was by far reassured by manners and growing up in demon society meant he slipped into them easily, bowing slightly to Shenny. "The pleasure is all mine, I assure you." his tail flicking lazily behind him, a little less frantically now he'd calmed down, she didn't seem like she was going to do anything too upsetting.
"Root for us? You are welcome to." he looked around at the others, lingering on Nuru before glancing back to her and stating conspirationally. "I think we could use the well wishes." He hadn't even thought of a prize. "Well I mean, I think the prize for winning would be that our school would have proven to the horsemen we have what it takes to be their equals and the like. I don't have any idea if there's anything more than that. Other than perhaps fame or something on those lines."
He tapped his chin with a claw thoughtfully. "Personally I'd consider it a prize if my father doesn't disown me after this team uniform."

[ENTERING and exiting consciousness]The MILLISECOND they announced visitors could go check out the castles, Freya had vaulted out of her hiding place and practically barrelled her way towards Herryk's team. She hadn't put two and two together, despite seeing JD near Herryk during the building phase. Maybe she'd simply just honed in on Herryk's big, burly form and not been able to see anything else. Whatever it was, when she finally made it to their sandcastle, she had gotten there just in time to see JD and Herryk finish off rubbing each other down with butter. She couldn't remember what happened next.

Shenny laughed softly: "I wish I'd knew my father, in the first place. But seriously, what a dedication! Personally, I would love to participate, but watching is fun enough: you see a lot of details that otherwise you would never notice, do you think so?" Zar appeared to have a good sense of humour. "Why you think, students are passing through Clan trials, and not horsemen passing through Amytiville exams? Are they THAT better? Oh, and more thing. Why do we need to make this public alliance all of a sudden?.. Perhaps, something big is going on." Shenny tried to provoke Zar a bit, wondering, if he knew a bit more than he was saying. With a corner of her eye she noticed a winged girl who was cheering loudly before.

Herryk was just about to turn to Zar to give him a stern tongue-lashing. There was nothing wrong with their uniforms. Herryk wore the uniforms all the time! Even when they weren't uniforms! However, at the sight of Freya charging across the beach like a glorious blonde freight train, Herryk decided that he'd just have to stop being such a b***h.
Honestly. He was just starting to have a good time, and as long as he didn't think about Kettil, he'd be just fine.
Juuuust fine.
Until Freya passed out.
"JD COME HELP HERRYK WITH HIS GHOULFRIEND. The hot sun must have gotten to her pretty head." Idly the draugr started smearing the last remnants of butter sunscream on her face. He'd hate to see her burn.
"HURRY UP JD."

Zar smirked. "I'd prefer if my father wasn't an issue." He shrugged "I alllmoost didn't compete at all, I was fine with being up there in the spectators, out of the line of fire of the more dangerous trials. But I promised myself I'd do lots of things. I'm..not normally very outgoing." It was true, he generally preferred to be shut up in his dorm room working on his paperwork.
He nodded. "I agree aswell, we shouldn't have to live up to /their/ standards. I hope they'll be doing amityville trials of their own when we pass this one. They seem like really snobbish unpleasant people. They even got us all killed once before." He spoke of a time not long ago when the horsemen, running into the hunters, got all the students dissapated in the fight, including him.
As for the bigger picture, Zar was one of the few students around who flat out even refused to believe in the hunters, so he looked troubled by the question. "Well they say there's some enemy out there we need their help against. I don't believe it. I think they just want us under their control somewhat."

Nuru's smile broadened at the guests presumably kind words, "Hi Shenny! Ahm Nuru!"
He cast a look at their castle at the question.., "And ah think we'll win, for certain!"
He looked back at Shenny still smiling like a lunatic, "Will you be be like a fearleader for us?"

"I'm wondering what this new enemy is...". And that's what true, Shenny was really wondering. From little details here and there, she made a conclusion something was happening. Or probably just starting to happen. For her it was clearly in the air. She wondered for a moment, if Zar is telling the truth, or may be he is just good at hiding information? "Don't you feel a bit worried? We haven't heard about the horsemen for eternity, and they were rare guests in Halloween. Can this enemy be that dangerous?"Shenny turned back to Nuru. What a nice little boil, he is like a pup, cute baby beast. She loved to play with this kind of young boils. "Hey, Nuru! It's nice to meet you. And of course, seeing you tried so hard, I'd love be a fearleader for you!" she said as flirty and playful, as possible.

Zar nodded and frowned "Its true. I'd only heard of them vaaaguely in the school thanks to the heirs who were lurking around with the..untrustworthy students. Its worrying, I can't see someone like the horsemen wanting anything to do with us unless they had something to gain." He shrugged. "Nothing we can do about it for the time being though, better to just join in as much as possible and find out from the source what's going on."
He followed her gaze to Nuru and smiled faintly, at least this ghoul seemed amicable enough.

Nuru gave a loud cheer of delight. It wasn't every day he got to do things that involved fearleaders. Or ever really. He liked it though.
"Ah hope we get something really nice if we win. Like. Maybe a lifetime supply of bat jerky?.. Ohhh ah looooooove bat jerky." He didn't seem to notice she was having an adult conversation with Zar...
