"Hiya Oli an' Air an' Doriss an' Tayte!" Since Oli was playing with Nehanda, Osu decided to approach Tayte instead, giggling as the brightly coloured gryphon showed off his wings. Crouching down on the sand by Tayte and Doris, he rested his hands on his knees, his bushy tail swishing back and forth.
"You gots pretty wings!" He beamed cheerfully at the little gryphon.
Ieyasu nodded to the two Ar'Idil guardians as they introduced themselves, before grinning at Air as she fretted about Oleo's behaviour. He'd been there. Osu generally hadn't clambered over people as a gryphon, being of the wrong build to do so, but he had been extremely energetic and in-your-face.
"Gryphons will be gryphons. Osu never sat still when he was one either." Pausing, the kitsune glanced over at the young spellweaver, who was busy introducing himself to Tayte and grinned. "Actually, he still doesn't."
At that moment, Ieyasu chanced to look up and spotting a few more figures approaching from a short distance away. Smiling, he raised an arm, waving to the newcomers. It was proving to be quite the gathering place here.

Nehanda grinned at Pueblo, and reached up to continue petting Oleo. "We don't got so many griffs on our island, anymore," she mentioned to the new people. "Griffs are fun, but they all become kids like us! But we're gonna get more griffs when Pie and 'em get outta their jars."
A thought struck Foenix, and she tugged the carry-sac off from her shoulders. She'd been walking for quite some time, and she imagined Yasu, Fae, and their kids might be as hungry as she'd become. "We'd originally planned a picnic, before we found the land bridge." Opening the bag, she began to pull out wrapped sandwiches and little bags of cut fruit and veggies. "Um, I think I have enough if anyone wants any. And there's juice and tea as well." She pulled the thermos out and straightened.
And . . . oh, heavens there were even more people and Aerandir heading toward them! One of them was . . . that had to be Chao and Sanar! "Hi, there! " She waved them over to the group. "Chao, we met really briefly at the Summer Festival. I hope you remember! And I sent over some wool for Sanar's quest. I assume it was helpful." She looked down at the pretty young child.
She didn't recognize the other girl heading in their direction, but that had to be a wisp flying around her head!

Doris was surprised by how much attention this gathering was receiving. Tayte was thrilled by the attention. He clacked at Osu curiously, batting a paw at his knee in an almost feline way. He folded his wings back against his side and cooed, ears cocked toward the fox/crane Aerandir.
Doris shook Fae's hand and smiled at her. "Isn't he just darling?" she sighed, smiling down at her gryphon. Her attention turned to the Aerandir child, Pueblo, when Fae mentioned her. She was playing with the Aerandir-like gryphon called Oleo. "Oh, wow..." Doris breathed softly. "All these Aerandir...they're so beautiful."
At the sound of the word "food", Tayte's head swiveled. Giving Osu a final friendly nudge, he allowed his scavenger's instinct to get the best of him and scurried in Foenix's direction, chuckling to himself.

Well, she was being waved at, so the intrusion was welcome, or so she supposed. Wyv gave a mental shrug. She could always leave if things got awkward. There were a lot of people, but she did recognize Chao and Sanar, giving the duo a smile and a nod as she approached.
"Wow," she blinked, surprised. There were a lot more people and aerandir at this little party than she'd thought. That was a bit... intimidating. They weren't all from Ar'Idil, were they? No, couldn't be. Sanar and Gael were the only kids she new of, so these kids had to be from the other island. How cool was that? Grinning, she settled on saying, "'lo!" and giving a jauntly little wave to the assembled group.
Makai, for his part was simply thrilled to see other people. He flittled about, hanging behind Wyvern, just out of sight. He'd managed to freak out most of #6's inhabitants with his ghosty tricks, and wondered if there'd be any good reactions here. He waited until Wyv was close enough, then popped through his guardian with a gleeful shout. Being a wisp was so much fun!

"Lolo!" Sanar called, accenting the greeting with a click and squirming when Foenix called out to her and her Mu until Chao let her down, at which point she bolted over to the woman who'd called her name, pausing only to briefly peer keenly at all the people and gryphons and Aerandir children before the now empty carry-sac caught her attention.
Grinning the child hopped up and pulled at the bag, toppling it over and prompty crawling inside.
Rushing to catch up to Sanar yet again Chao blinked at the woman who'd hailed them. Female, had to be from Cetalu... had helped with Sanar's quest...?
"OH! Foenix! Yes! I remember. Hello again," Chao grinned brightly as her memories clicked, catching Wyv's nod and waving in return. "Thank you again for sending over the wool, Sanar was glad to become coperal again."
She looked around, "wow... there's so many Aerandir," she looked to Foenix, "which is your little one?" speaking of which... where'd Sanar dissapear to?
Eyes flicking to to the carry-sac and Sanar's expidition of sorts. "Sanar! I'm so sorry, Foenix, she's, er, quite curious," gently she extracted her child and set her on the ground, whereupon Sanar gave her best 'I-know-it-was-wrong-but-it-looked-so-COOL' look and squirmed away as the shiny gryphon with the bright blue feathers caught her eye.

Osu laughed as the little gryphon batted playfully at his knee. That tickled! The gryphon seemed nice, so he reached out a hand to pet him. 'Lex liked being petting like this, so maybe Tayte would too! After a moment, though, the gryphon decided he wanted to check out the food and scampered off towards Foenix.
Springing back up to his feet, Osu looked around. Wow, there were lots of people here now! Grinning from ear to ear, he waved to all the new arrivals. There were three more grown-ups and some more 'nadir too! He didn't see Makai until he passed through Wyvern noisily. With a delighted shout of his own, Osu pointed at the wisp before bursting into peals of laughter. There was a wispy here too! Osu remembered being a wisp. Being able to float and stick your hands through things was so much fun!
"Hiya!!"
Ieyasu nodded and smiled to the three newly arrived guardians and their charges. "Hi there. I don't think I've met any of you properly before. The name's Ieyasu, and that little orange monster over there is Osu." He grinned goodnaturedly before glancing over in Osu's direction to make sure he wasn't annoying anyone. The fox/crane mix was in his element, which was hardly surprising with so much activity going on.
As Foenix commented about the picnic, Ieyasu looked over to her and nodded. Although, it might be a better idea to head a few feet away from the sandbar for that, especially with so many people arriving.

Foenix laughed brightly at Sanar, and waved off Chao's apology. "Oh, no worries! I'm sure the sandwiches can stand to be a bit squashed." She brushed a hand over Sanar's hair, and bent closer. "I'm Foenix. It's nice to meet you. You should meet my little girl, Nehanda." Straightening, she pointed over toward Nehanda. "That's her, right there, and she'd love to meet you both. "'Handa, over here! Come meet Chao and Sanar!"
Nehanda turned from Oleo and Tayte at her guardian's call. With a cheerful grin, she skipped over. "Hi, there! It's nice to meet'cha." She looked at Sanar, and ran the name through her memory. "Oh, yeah! We sent you wool! I liked that purple color, and it was really soft!"
"Exactly, hun." As Fae and Yasu chimed in, and Tayte started heading in her direction, she gently scooped the little gryphon up in her arms, with a reassuring smile over toward Doris. "My, aren't you handsome?" she murmured to the little creature as she moved over into the shade of the trees. "Well, let's see if we've got anything in here to tempt your appitite. Folks," she announced to the rest of the group, "I've got deviled egg, chicken salad, turkey, and veggie and cheese sandwiches, so take your pick. There's also a variety of veggies and fruits."
Nehanda took Sanar's hand. "If you're hungry, Feenix makes really good sandwiches! Come on!" As she led the girl over, she looked at her curiously. "I like growing plants and stuff. Do you have a job thing, too?"
Foenix sat back after putting lunch out, and looked over toward the girl with the bright blue wisp. "Hi, nice to meet you! I'm Foenix. Come join the party! And when did your little boy go whispy?"

Sanar grinned up at the Foenix lady who'd patted her hair, "nic' ta meet you, Ms. Feenix." Her smile widened when all the words came out like they were supposed to.
Chao smiled, proud that Sanar was getting the human speech thing down better now.
"Nic' ta meet you, Handa," Sanar replied with a smile, wagging her tail a bit.
Ah! The wool! Sanar pointed to her leg, where the wool was tied around but didn't manage to tell the other Aerandir girl about it before she was beging tugged off.
"Mmm, Mum sa's 'm," what was it called? "a weever..? But I just like collecting thin's and putting 'em together inta new thin's. Does 'Handa have a big garden then?" The garden back home was sorta interesting, and the flowers were fun to braid, but all in all there wasn't a lot to it and she didn't think about it that often.
Hanging back a bit Chao jogged over to see Wyv, "hey Wyv! That Makai coming out of your chest?"

So many people! But his antics had been noticed and so Makai preened as best he was able. Preening was admittedly easier when one was covered in fur and feathers, but he managed. The little wisp crowed happily as the gryphon passed through him. This was fun! He was sad to see the little gryph, go but his attention was recaptured byt something orange. He responded to Osu's laughter with some of his own, while waving enthusiastically. "Hyyh!" he mimicked. Mouth-sounds were neat.
Wyv nodded to Ieyasu at his introductions and then to Foenix at hers. "Wyvern, atcher service," she inclined her head to both of them in a strange sort of bow. "The flying blue sprite is Makai. And he's only been... wispy," she paused for a moment, "...since about this time yesterday." Ermine-gryph, bunny-gryph, so many children and guardians, she momentarily lost the thread of conversation as she absorbed it all.
Snapping back to attention, Wyv added, "And we're fine on the food, thanks. I ate earlier and Makai..." Wyvern trailed off with a shrug, thinking Makai's condition was self-evident.
At Chao's question, Makai turned quickly to wave at the woman, then fluttered closer to Osu. This was new and therefore took priority.
"Yep," the green hair woman answered to Chao, "it's his new favorite trick. Better'n implants." She grinned broadly, surprised at how releaved she was to see a familiar face.
(( zOMG, edited 'cause I missed Chao's postie. ))
