"Thank you, Xun." She smiled. It was hard for her to be without Typala, the wintersaber had been her companion to many a strange place. The part of him that was Illisia would surely understand that.

"Let me know where you are settled and ready ?" It would take Aysu some time to learn, as it had taken Lindita, but it would not be so bad.

She nodded and dropped back onto the grass, staring up at the sky through the trees. "So, how have things been since I saw you last?"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. That was not exactly an easy question to answer. Well, not in a way that might make sense to Whisteria. "I changed not too long after coming back... And helped remake the sky." There was no shortage of pride in there. There was a little bit of him in what both dragon king and druidess were seeing now as stars, but had been quite different when he had held them, carefully cradled in his claws.

"And then... I have been learning, again. All the things I need to know." Everything he needed to be. It was a slow learning, but it still brought him much pride.

"Wow..." It was hard to imagine something like the stars being made, but they had to come from somewhere. The overall mood in Darnassus had changed when the sky reappeared, it had given the night elves a more real life again. Whisteria had taken it as a good omen, letting it kindle the flame of hope in her heart.

"About being a god?"
PostPosted: Sun Mar 11, 2012 8:30 pm

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.It had been... Well, he could have easily explained it. It was what the Twin Crown and Zhijian had done above, so far above to shield the mortals and the weaker gods such as he from the effects, of the raw mana used to create the tapestry they were both looking at, that was indescribable. He had felt it, from the ground where he had remained, but did not quite know what had gone on.

"Yes." He nodded. "I have been gone, dead, for a long time. Times beyond even the sundering...." Time beyond Whisteria's lifetime, he was certain of this. It was hard to explain seemingly endless ages of dormancy, because he did remember little of it, himself. "And now I live again, but... I am still small. We are reborn like this, half mortal... And, like children, we must learn to walk again." He did not mean that literally, but was fairly certain the night elf would understand what he meant.

The part of him that was Illisia needed to learn - the rest of him needed to remember what little he actually could remember.

It seemed easier to explain it to Whisteria than it was to explain it to anyone else - their closeness was to blame, perhaps. Or maybe he felt like he owed her as full an explanation as she wanted, at this point ?

"That is a long time. I know you well enough to have no doubt you will catch up." Whisteria reached out, unthinking, and rested a hand on top of his. "I believe in you, if that counts for anything."

Belief... Even if she probably hadn't meant it this way, that was the key, right there. "Believe in those you meet here... Name them yourself, if you must. Only an handful of gods have returned to their true glory. The rest of us... require such devotion, or we will never be great again."

"I'll keep that in mind." The druidess squeezed his hand gently. "You just might have to forgive if I slip up and call you Illisia..." She would try her best not to, but it was bound to happen sometime.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."I do not mind. If you prefer to call me Illisia, you can do so." It was in the nature of gods to be fluid with names - or at least, it had once been so. The name of his host was one close to him to begin with, and Whisteria could call him whatever she liked, and as long as she meant it for him, he would understand.

"Through you might want to be careful if there are others around, as it may only confuse them." Not all the mortals around knew of the nature of the gods that now walked so close to them.

"I might...when its just us. Otherwise, I'll just call you Xun Jiang, like everyone else." That way there would be no worry or confusion to deal with. Whether she would still call him Illisia after he changed again...well, she would cross that bridge when she came to it. For now this was enough.

"I missed you terribly, you know."

"I've missed you, too." He admitted. "I miss Meridia, too, but... I am uncertain if she understood what I was about to do, when I left." But then... Illisia had not really explained that, either. She had barely understood it herself.

"Things have been complicated here, for a bit." With Elik and Adi's grief, then with both he and Glyph having to short out their own feelings. "I had a lot to deal with... But most of it is sorted out."

"If it was anything like the explanation I got, I doubt it. I wouldn't know though, I haven't seen much of Meridia or Kaltyran in a while." Too busy tending to Typala and the kittens, among other things. She had taken to a mostly solitary life until Elik and Adi had shown up on her doorstep and flipped her world upside down yet again. Perhaps that meant it was right side up again now? Who knew anymore.

"That is good at least, that some worries are out of your way."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."Are they doing well ? Did she have her child, yet ?" The one that she'd said would bear Illisia's name, should it be a daughter... He wanted to see that child, nonetheless, but the thought was heartwarming now, when it had been just the slightest bit distressing to Illisia before they became one.

"Is is, through to see you here really did surprise me." He admitted. "I knew Elik and Adi went to Darnassus, but I did not expect you to follow them back here... Through, thinking about it, I probably should have." The amused smile on his face was quite telling. "I really do hope you will be happy here."

"Last I heard they were, and that I don't know. I haven't been the most social for a while." Mostly due to her own choice rather than necessity, at least until recently. Typala's latest litter of kittens had provided a legitimate distraction, they did need to get used to others if they were to be trained as mounts one day.

"You really should have, how else am I supposed to look after everyone I care about if they are all off somewhere else?" That and she didn't want to be left behind. "I'm sure I will, it seems like a nice place, if the forest and gardens are of any indication." Being the druid she is, of course she would take more notice of her surroundings first.
