Jack looked at the scan closely, and to his surprise, laughed! "Um, Erin? I don't know how to tell you this, but you are not having 'a' baby. You are actually, having two." He watched as she looked at him in shock, and disbelief. "It's true! See? Look. Two separate and fully functioning heartbeats. Congratulations, Erin. You're going to give birth to a beautiful baby girl and boy." He shook Erin's hand, and thanked his friend as he led them out of the office, and they left to the outside. "So. It's been a while since you've been back in the mortal world. Is there anything you want to do while we are here?"
PostPosted: Tue Apr 03, 2012 10:08 pm
She looked between the two as the shock somewhat hit her. Twins? She didn't think she could handle one but two? She kept to her thoughts as she cleaned up a bit and let Jack speak with the doctor. She waited outside looking to him a moment. "Twins? Goblins save me... " She sighed holding her stomach a moment then thought on his question and looked about. "I don't know, but, if my memory serves me, you're not allowed too much time here. Or was that reset? I don't want to get you hurt or in trouble being here."

"But trouble is what you have found Mortal Queen." The three soldiers stood there clad in dark detailed armor. If one knew of the clans would note the sigal of the Darkmore clan. The two to either side would ready their weapons. "Now, you will come with us or we will simply kill you both.

She looked to the voices and saw three strange men and moved closer to Slack. "Jack, I want to go home now." She put a hand to his shoulder. She would fight back normally, though the thought of the children within her took over her instincts.

"So you've chosen to fight. Fair enough, Take them!" He let the other two approach the Queen and the lesser immortal. The knew they wouldn't be much of a match if any against them. He watched one move fast taking the Queen's arm though hadn't expected her to fight back as she broke the soldier's grasp. "You will come with us!"

Slack began to cast, making a portal back to the Labyrinth. "Erin! Come on!" He took out a vial of liquid and hurled it at the attackers, watching as it broke, and set the two of them on fire. "Come on!" He grabbed Erin's arm, and they transported back to the Labyrinth, landing in Erin's garden. "Erin. Are you alright?" He helped her to her feet, and escorted her to her room. "I think we have to inform Jareth. You just met some of the Darkmore clan. They're very proud, and hate anyone not pure immortal. Kind of a racist bunch, to say. Almost like the Nazi Germans of your world."
PostPosted: Wed Apr 04, 2012 7:37 pm
She felt Slack hold her as the two others burned. She soon found herself in her garden and felt her stomach lurch. She would nod to his questions as he helped her to her room and sighed heavily. "So, what would they want with us? We don't bother them in any way, least not from what I've heard from the meetings I've attended with Jareth over kingdom business." She sighed heavily bringing a hand to her forehead a moment. Twins, now this strange attack. She stood and headed to the door. "Well, come along Slack, best go find Jareth and let him know of this, and the twins." She would walk through the halls seeing Midas joining her. She gave a weak smile and soon would enter the throne room to see Jareth. She would smile lightly though mostly forced despite the good news. She went to him and waited a moment before excusing him away from the others and went to the hallway. "Love, we have some news. Some good, some, I'm not sure what to think yet."

Jareth turned to Erin, and welcomed her, hugging her. "Erin. Back from the doctor already? And news? What do you mean?" He looked to Slack as he stood near.

"It would appear, your majesty, that the Darkmore clan has taken an interest in your marriage. They attempted to assassinate Erin while we were there."

"They WHAT?!" Jareth stood fast, and extended a blast of energy out of anger. "They will pay for this! But...." He looked to Erin, and quieted. "Another day. For now, we have a celebration to attend. So. What did the doctor have to say, my love?"
PostPosted: Wed Apr 04, 2012 8:08 pm
She let Slack continue the explanation and sighed. "There were only three, and they said we were to go with them or die. Not sure they actually wanted to kill us." She would pause a moment though pushing it from her thoughts as he mentioned the celebration. "Better pick two names out hun, a girl's and a boy's." She kissed him hoping that this wouldn't dampen things. She would of course ask him later but knew he had a kingdom to run. "Then I should probably go find something to wear shouldn't I?" She would let him feel her stomach once more hoping that alone would calm him, though felt nauseous from his outburst.

He looked to the outburst and became worried for the queen. Though at the new topic of the children he looked nervously to Slack at the thought of Twins. It would change many things he knew. He would wait for a pause before speaking up. "Majesty, she will not leave my sight."

"Thank you, Midas. Take care of her, will ya? If they were indeed the Darkmore clan, then they may attempt again. They are bold to say the least, and stubborn as well. The ywill not give up the fight so easily. Now, I'm going to attend to some further shielding for the Labyrinth, and make sure that the party is not interrupted." He kissed Erin, and looked into her eyes. "Don't worry, my love. We'll get through this, just like everything else, and I'll start thinking of some names, okay? Lest we call them Thing 1 and 2." He said it jokingly, remembering a mortal author of children's book he used to enjoy reading a few decades ago.
PostPosted: Thu Apr 05, 2012 4:31 pm
She smiled shaking her head at the comment though worried about what was happening. "Jareth, be safe okay?"she would smile and kiss him worried about what was happening around the kingdom. She soon followed Midas as they walked the halls and waited for a fitting for her dress since she didn't care to have many formal things. "Midas, be honest with me. What's happening outside the labyrinth? Do you believe those others will attack again?"

he looked to her as they walked till they reached the room. He didn't wish to be upset, but knew he could not avoid it either. "There is a war between immortal great houses. Some have sided with Oberon, others have sided with the Darkmoore clan. While neither have a like for mortals, Oberon tollerates them for the sake of his queen who fancy's mortal men, and his own flighty needs. I suspect, with the wars, they have kept you off of the radar so to speak since it had been made clear Jareth did not wish to fight or choose a side."

Jareth had decided it was time to pay his mother a visit after a few centuries. He didn't exactly know what to expect, but he knew it had to be done. "Slack? I'm going to see Titania. I have to find out if they are planning to drag our kingdom into this fray, and also to find out why the hell the Darkmoore clan has decided to take an interest in Erin. I may be gone for a couple days, but I will be back for the party. Just keep Erin and Twink safe, and I'll be back as soon as possible."

Slack stood to Jareth, and nodded. "Okay. You be safe, alright? If Erin finds out what you are doing, she'll be pissed, and mad at me for not stopping you. But you remember to come back, okay? Last thing I need is Erin jumping down my throat because of you."
PostPosted: Fri Apr 06, 2012 12:58 pm
Erin nodded listening as he spoke unsure of what to think. She was a mortal and as such never knew about immortals and their lives. She suddenly felt she was over head in how she could help her husband or even keep him safe. If the other clan attacked them outright she doubted talking with them would make it any better. She sighed soon cringing a bit as the children as she now knew it moved too fast for her stomach to keep up. She sighed when that bout subsided looking to him. "Well, it seems clear he doesn't wish to speak on it yet. Best just let Jareth be for now, even though I hate his secrets when he thinks he's protecting me." she sighed again and watched as some goblins entered with normal fabric for which she was grateful.

Titania would await in the courtyard of the palace awaiting one of her oldest children. She had been well aware of the earth events given her many spies, even within the goblin city. She was happy for her son but also somewhat upset that it would take such a small even as what had happened in the mortal realm for him to finally answer his father's summons. She looked to him as he would finally arrive but made no move towards him. As with all her children she was patient. Her long blonde/ platinum hair flowed softly behind her as her deep green dress had. Her skin almost seemed to glow despite it's pale coloring and her green eyes simply took in his appearances. She would wait till he would stand before her before speaking, pretending not to know of what was going on. "Jareth, it has been some time since your last visit. Answering your father's summons at last? Or is there another reason you've returned?"

Jareth went over to his mother, and out of respect, gave her a hug and kiss on the cheek. "I'm glad to see you are doing well, mother. But no, I am not here on Oberon's behalf. I am here on my wife's. She was just attacked in the mortal realm by the Darkmoore clan, but I'm sure you already knew that. What I want to know, Titania," He only used her name when he was a little upset with her, "is why they've been allowed to do this. Is Oberon losing control and power so easily? As stubborn and powerful as he is, you'd think he could keep a better control on the situation." He walked her over to a bench, and sat down with her, glad to actually see her after all this time.
PostPosted: Fri Apr 06, 2012 1:42 pm
She smiled returning the brief hug. The fact that he used her name made her smile lightly though would remain her composure at his accusations. She would move to sit with him and simply look to him. "You know better then to call me by name Jareth. And your father has not lost his touch. Far from it. Aside from that the Darkmoore clan is not in our control. As I am sure you are well aware there is a war going on. With that particular clan, are you truly surprised they went after your mortal queen? You make it sound as if he has control over those he is at war with." She sighed lightly before standing and motioning him to take her arm as she would walk about the courtyard with him. "My son, you speak as if you believed him to be interested in what you are doing in your life. Your father, as much as I love him, does not get along with you so well. I'm sure you've known this. We cannot be answerable to what the other houses are doing during this war. As someone who's made it clear they wish no part, even you must know that with, especially that clan, that it was only a matter of time before the houses knew you chose a mortal over one of your own. And growing up I'm sure you are also well aware of how immortals view this. Even your father did not agree to such an arrangement my dear son." She would smile slightly after a short silence. "I hear she is quite attractive for a mortal, how is she faring with these events? Have you discussed the world of immortals with her? Or have you kept her unknowing?" She wanted him to say what she had already known of his bride though wasn't sure he would. She would pause a moment more before turning to him holding his hands gently in her own. "You are my son, one of the first, so I will leave you with this, since I hear rumor of a ball soon coming. If you feel you need his help, you know you may ask, but as with everything it will come with a price. The true question is, will you be willing to pay those prices for his help?"

The days would go by with Jareth gone. She felt nauseous on and off with the children and nerves. She had managed to get her husbands travel plans from Slack, but if Jareth were worried enough to visit his family she knew following would only be foolish. She kept watch from one of the castle towers on and off during her times waiting for him to return home. She hated the hormones these children were firing at her. She hated feeling so needy and emotional. She had to apologize on a few occasions to the others at sudden outbursts of anger and tears. She knew this would only get worse till she got closer to the due date. Or so she read from what the doctor in the mortal realm had given her about it. She soon made her way back to Slack's room knocking and entering. "Slack? Are you sure he will be all right? I know you said so before, but.." She let it drop realizing she were being silly once more.

Jareth looked to Titania as she made mention of Oberon helping, but also pondered on what the 'price' would be. "I understand the situation, mother. And I appreciate your keeping Erin hidden. It means a lot to me that you still care after all this time. But as for Oberon, I'm not sure I will ever trust him again, or even want his help. Still, I will keep it in mind. But for now, I will bid you farewell, mother. Erin can be a bit... stubborn, and put herself in danger. Even when she is trying to help." He hugged his mother, and kissed her cheek. "Mother. Do you like Erin? I mean, I love her, and would never give her up. But I want your personal impression on her."

Slack turned to Erin, and patted her on the shoulders. "Don't worry about that fool. He's just as stubborn as you are, my lady, and that's actually a good thing. He's determined, and he loves you. Put those together, and he'll make it back. Even just for your sake." He handed Erin a cup of root beer, and smiled at her. "Here. Caffiene and sugar-free. Won't hurt the children either. I know how much you enjoy it as I do."
PostPosted: Fri Apr 06, 2012 5:34 pm
She chuckled a bit and shook her head. "And what my dear son has you thinking we were hiding her? Your father has made it quite clear he doesn't care too much either way." She smiled musing in her thoughts though it faltered only slightly as he asked her opinion of his wife. "I have no opinion of her as we have not had the pleasure of meeting yet. More since your father and I have not visited, nor have you and your bride." She kept her mind silent knowing she had indeed looked in through her own spies, not that the spies knew they were for her. She would sigh slightly patting his arm gently. "Well, if she as you say, best get back to her, or she'll come looking for you. And at the moment, harboring a mortal would not aid in his side of the war. Do not worry Jareth. I am very sure we will meet soon again." She would smile and give him the briefest of hug before shooing him on his way. She had her own plans to make and soon would turn towards the palace to see her oracle.

Erin nodded looking to Slack as he handed the cup to her. She took a sip but the children decided a few moments after to be active and sighed. "I'm not going to get used to all the moving inside." she gave a fake smile despite being happy she was pregnant. She shook her head wanting to ask questions but would limit them for now. "So, Jareth won't tell me or speak about it, Midas seems only willing to say so much, tell me, what is this war? And am I going to be the cause of it possibly coming here?" She didn't want to be used against Jareth, or be a reason for troubles. The last war she was in was more then enough unwanted attention.

Slack looked to Erin as she put the cup down. "It's not exactly a secret. Jareth is just trying to cope with keeping his newly forming family alive at the moment. Used to only be himself he worried about. But as for the war, no. You are not the cause of it. The immortals have always feuded, and always will. It's only that every now and then, things spike out of control, and fighting begins. It's really distasteful too." He took a sip of the brew he made. "But mostly, it's just about Jareth's father pissing off all the other immortal clans. He's always been stubborn and forceful. Just like his son, not that either of them would agree to that."
