"Magic, of course. How else?" Really she could have simply just slipped it into his pocket but this way was always more fun. She took the coin from him when he offered it and with a flick of her wrist sent it into the air and it vanished as if it had never been at all. The prank was done so it could go back to wherever her conjured objects came from.
The smothered laugh did not go unnoticed. "Hn...I get the distinct impression I've missed something?" Probably a comment from Althai, if she had to guess.

Magic! Of course. He didn't know what he'd been thinking, asking. Of course it would be magic, how else did gods ever do things.
(He realized he might possibly be a little bit hysterical.)
"Um, Althai," he explained. "He's... a bit rude." A bit! That was also an understatement, a huge. Understatement. "He wanted me to say something, that's all." He so wasn't going to. Not unless it was say it or end up in Bad Startville anyway.

"Oh really?" That had her intrigued. He could say it or not as he wished, she would not press...much. "Hardly anything offends me." As far as most were concerned she was the proverbial queen of being irritating and offensive. Most tricksters were pests after all.
She snerked at the fact that Aska mentioned Healing was rude. "That and arrogance are quite common among gods, I'm afraid. Though some have acquired good sense this time around." Or at least more sense than last time anyway.

"Unfortunately," he said. He would much rather prefer to coast under the radar--unfortunately, that didn't seem to be Althai's modus operandi at all. He wanted to be the center of everything, he wanted to stand head and shoulders above everyone, he wanted to be noticed and special because it was everything that Healing wasn't supposed to be--Althai, in short, was a pain in the a** to his normally quiet host. But perhaps that was why Aska had been chosen to host the rebirth of this god; perhaps…
He shook his head after a moment. "I'm not much of one for risks," he said, "And I'd rather stay on the good side of a goddess. It seems like offending you would be a terrible idea."

Tien pouted just a little bit. Disappointed? Yes, definitely. She would be good though and not press the matter any further.
"Mm...maybe." Defending on the offense she would just retaliate in kind.
She gaze flicked to the teahouse door, noting the color of the sky. It was later than she thought. Had they really been talking that long?

He would have smiled, but it seemed like it would be gauche; he didn't spend years in the many conclaves of Lampadas without picking up some social skills. When the orange-haired goddess looked out the door, he followed, perhaps expecting to see another person--instead, he saw the twilight blue of the night sky, and winced.
"I really ought to be going," he said, apologetically. "It's an early day at the shop tomorrow."

"It is quite alright. Take good care of yourself and perhaps we will see each other again sometime." She waved politely as Aska left and settled down again, content to stay here a while longer before heading home.
