"I understand, ma'am." She could've easily said 'I know' but that could come off as disrespectful. She was well aware of how seriously she needed to take this place, even if it was sometimes hard to tell if she really understood.
Candace wasn't entirely convinced by Aria's display, frowning and watching the woman with a critical eye. She did not just look worse than she felt, Candace wanted to press that issue more but...Aria didn't want her help. "...Nothing that comes to mind, ma'am." She replied quietly, lifting the shoulder that carried her bag. "I'll be sure to return these right away. Get back safely, okay?"

"The sooner you get in their good graces, the more likely they'll let you use the good stuff," Aria replied with a grin, giving her trainee a mock-salute. "And bed is the plan. Now you stay out of trouble so I can keep resting, okay?" If Candace was younger, Aria would have reached out to ruffle her hair.
...Then again, nothing stopped Aria from reaching out to ruffle Candace's hair anyway. "Take care, and try not to be too good when running this course in the future. I don't want Allan-taichou to try and steal you away from the Mists."

Chuckling, Candace returned the salute with one of her own. "I'll keep that in mind. I think Clarice and H like me." Atropos gave a snort that Candace smartly ignored. "I will. No more outbursts. I'll only hit people on the training field or off the island when there's no superiors around."
Aria suddenly reached out to ruffle her hair and she squeaked, laughing and playfully swatting the hand away with a grin. She really did adore her leader most of all. Caelius was an a*****e, Allan was...
...
Allan was strange. Too strange.
And H was...different.
At Aria's concern of Candace being stolen away from her division Candace smiled and shook her head. "Nothing but death itself could take me out of Mist, Aria." She told her earnestly, meaning every word of it. "Don't give me reason to have to check and make sure my leader made it to her bed like she's a naughty child, now. Shoo, shoo~." Look at Candace giving her division leader orders. Thankfully it was purely in jest, though she did wave her hand in dismissal.

Aria nodded, pleased that Candace understood. She began to laugh at Candace's words before she was forced to snatch the end of her scarf, her chuckle breaking off into a harsh racking cough. "Ugh. Don't worry, I'm pretty sure Lance has me on cam," Aria said, frowning. "Or some Lifers. Possibly armed with a permanent marker."
"Either way, I'm out." Aria said as she moved towards the door, taking a moment to straighten her shoulders and at least look healthy before taking a slow, measured steps out.
