"As am I," Tian Yue admitted, giving Ser a curious, calculating look. "It is good that you did, very good indeed - but after everything, we have all learned not to expect... the best." That time he did sigh, low, regretful.

Ser sat back relaxing in the couch. "I did what I had to and got lucky. I don't remember anything to dangerous." She absent mindedly started to twist and braid one of the strands of hair and taping out a small tune on the ground with her toes. "As long as you can still hope for the best expecting it isn't necessary." She titled her head back looking in at the ceiling as if it was the most interesting thing in the world. "Plus I mostly packed survival gear when I came to look for Morgy."
She rolled her head over to one side staring at Tien. "Though I could have packed more if I had know Morgy would improve her wardrobe so much" She scrunched up her face for a moment but shook it away. Ser’s head snapped facing Tien Yue; eyes fixing intently on him "Why aren’t you a boyfriend anymore. Morgy plus sexy seems like a winning combo.”

Yet again, one of those 'Its Ser, you should have expected this' moments.
Now, it was her turn to sigh. Part of her just wanted to leave now, before this got any worse but she didn't want to leave Tian Yue to her friend's pestering. "It's more complicated than that, Ser." It was clear enough she wasn't comfortable with this change in conversation. The topic was creeping dangerously close to something she wasn't sure how to admit.

Tian Yue shook his head. "Quite a bit more complicated, indeed; accept it, and let it lie for now." His words were not unkind, but they were firm.
"Now - where have you been staying? Do you require lodging?"

She nods going back to staring at the ceiling. “Fair enough” She laced her hands behind her head her head bobbing as if listing to music. “Well I kind of stay where ever I end up when night comes.” She felt a little bad for having brought up the topic of them again but it had removed most of their want to talk about how she had managed the last few years it seemed. She cringed a little on the inside. “Trees tend to make good beds.” She snapped her head forward as if remembering something looking Tian Yue up and down a bit. "Weren't you a red head last time I saw you?"

Tien tried to hide the visible signs of her relief with a cheeky grin when Ser changed the subject again. "The last time you saw him he was also still somewhat mortal, like I am now."

This mortal remembered the strangest things. "It is as she said. We all change as we step further into the divine. I am at my full strength, now, and shall not change again." Outwardly, at least.
"If you would like a better bed, my followers keep a small settlement not far from here. They will tend to you for my sake, if I ask them."

Ser moved a little closer cling to Tien's arm. "It wouldn’t be fair to them. I cause enough stress for my friends then complete strangers. I don't know how to not get lost."

"It's alright, Tian Yue. She can stay with me, my house has plenty of space." She did not want to inconvenience him or his followers. Besides Ser was-is her friend and she felt more than a little responsible for her. After all it was Ser chasing after her host-self that had brought the woman here.

Tian Yue did not show his relief, but it was definitely there - it was not that he disliked this mortal, but the possibility of constant questions seemed rather high. "As you say, then." He nodded to Tien, then to Ser. "You will be safe here."

She nodded. “I’m not worried about that. I’m good just getting to spend time with Morgy again.” She stood up tugging on Tien’s arm a bit. “Come on I want to see where you live. This is going to be just like our old sleepovers!” She said excitedly. She stopped for a moment turning and bowing to Tian Yue. “Thank you for your hospitality as well” She spun back grabbing Tien’s arm again resuming her urging pulling.

"I guess that means I'll be going." Tien smiled at Tian Yue, silently thanking him for his patience. "I'll come back and visit another time then?"

"Of course." He smiled at Tien, amused at Ser's delighted reaction. "And you are welcome. Have an enjoyable evening, ladies..." Yes, the dragon's amusement was definitely visible in his eyes.
