The man shifted, at the sound of her name, happy for a name to go with the face. "Auron," He offered, his tone sounding strange in his own ears. He hadn't talked in so long it was almost alien for him to do so.
He frowned and looked to the ground a second.
The boy agitated him with the way he seemed to disreguard him, and then the look he gave Quinn... He had to calm down. "The city a few miles down the highway... it has been obliterated. It will only be a matter of time before it reaches us, and I have no idea when.That is how I..." His hand fell upon the covering over his eye. "We can't stay here."

She looked over to Auron and nodded but gave a grim look. "That's true, but are you alright to travel?" she asked him, concerned for the mans well being. Though she didn't know him, for some reason she felt comfortable around him already. It was like she just clicked with him. "You seem a bit, worn for the worse there..." she said mentioning his condition. she didn't know much about him, but it was obvious that he wasn't well...
Quinn relaxed a bit more around the two men, but kept watching both from time to time. "Where are you two heading... If it's in the same direction we might as well travel together. Better in a group than being alone." Quinn had no where to go really. New Haven was a ways away and the idea of being screened before entering the city as a refugee scared her a bit. She heard horror stories of people being thrown into quarantines for days on end, and girls getting raped by the men who worked there. The city's reputation was that of one to be pristine, and wonderful, but the underlying areas were dirtier than a prison...

He sighed and put his arms at his side. Now that the whole situation was a bit less out of hand he could relax a bit. He had a rule about no names but since he already blurted out his he just decided that it didn't matter anymore."Yeah...I believe we all have that problem now don't we?"He looked at Auron and sized up his wounds a bit. After hearing that this man was at the city when it fell he new that his injuries could probably be healed pretty easily."Look Auron I can heal you up if you want. There is no way you're in a condition to travel like this. Just lay down and tell me where the pain is and I'll fix it up."Despite being a assassin he didn't mind being of help to the innocent.
He looked at Quinn as he waited for Auron's response to his idea."Truthfully I don't have anywhere to go, I usually just go where I need to help or assassinate people. But my primary mission is to find the Children of Prophecy and help them with whatever they need really."He had to think long and hard about trying to travel with these two strangers that he just met. He didn't know their history or anything about them other than their names. But it seemed like they were looking for help and salvation rather than destruction and chaos."I wouldn't mind traveling with you for a bit. But I recommend we start in the morning. It's getting late. Plus, even if I heal Auron it'll take a bit until he is at full strength again."He didn't mind this for a while. The only thing now is that he would not only have to look out for himself, but for them as well. But he was sure that they could manage pretty well without him though. Just as long and they didn't threaten his safety he was fine with this.

He looked to Quinn, glad to have found her at last. The small smile upon his lips was the first kind of emotion he had shown in years, and it was actually genuine. Auron was sure to glance out the window once again, checking for any danger at all, but at the moment spootting none from there. Dusting at his robes, the preist signia unknowingly revealed itself on his necklace, but he wasn't aware of it.
"If you can heal it properly yes... and if it can wait I can still travel. I've come this far to..." He cut himself short on his words. Should he tell her... "To find a Child of Prophecy as well..."

"The children of Prophecy..." she repeated after hearing both of them saying it. Cocking a brow she looked at them both. "That's just a fairytale. There are no Children of Prophecy... If there was then they would have stopped the underverse a long time ago." she said. Quinn couldn't believe it. Everyone keeps talking about these children of prophecy. Even back in the day her mother told her about them. With a sigh she scratched the back of her head and shrugged. "Believe what you want. All I know is that the Underverse are here destroying this world like they have with others, and we're sitting ducks if we stay her for to long..." she said with a small sigh.

Sukyo looked at Auron and was about to respond until he saw the emblem on his chest. He decided to tell him in his incognito type of way."Yeah I can heal it just fine. But in the darkness we are sitting ducks. I'll heal you easily but we need to stay here for the night priest."He sized up the injuries again to make sure he could get them all in one night. He sighed and looked back over to Quinn.
He listened to her response to their claims of the supposed fairytale of the Children of Prophecy. He had to admit he was a little surprised. He didn't think that this girl had already given up hope already."Did you ever think that they didn't show up yet because the worlds weren't ready yet? I always hold onto the belief that they will show up soon, and that's what keeps me going."He responded in a completely indifferent tone. He couldn't blame her for not believing anymore, the worlds have gone to hell after all."I think we should stay here for the night and move out early in the morning. The armies of darkness are more active at night. Plus they won't be here for a while. Where do you have in mind to go to?"As much as he wanted to move on he knew that moving in the dark wouldn't work out well. Plus he had no idea where this girl and Auron planned on going.

Auron didn't even look down as he slid the emblem back out of sight, body standing a bit taller at the words. He saw no point in telling them where he was from- why he was dressed so elaborately. Should it resort to it, he would take Quinn to where he was from, a city he had sealed himself away from for fear of the Underverse shadowing the holy grounds in search of one of the Children. The man was making sense in staying a bit, but he was still cautious. He did not want her exposed to the death it flooded into the streets, and he would rather run than fight.
"Do not give up hope so easily..." He added to what the other man said, "If you need proof, merely wait a few days... you will see a Child of Prophecy before your very eyes." The proposition to hunker down here for the night seemed a rather uneasy prospect for him, but dawn was sometimes the safest time to travel. Either one thing was still trying to wake or was falling asleep during the early morning hours. He nodded once in agreement. "I will travel with you two. So far I've depleted just about all of my energy to even run, let alone fight. I can only blame my own stupidity in thinking I could save so many people from death before it was too late."

She listened and heard it all before. It was nothing knew, especially people telling her to believe or to not lose faith that one day they will come. She had waited since she was a child, and then some, but nothing came and she gave up on that little hope. For her, the only thing that will stop them are people themselves. If everyone came together, then maybe they would have a chance at beating the underverse.
She nodded through it all as she listened to both of them. She watched Auron for a moment, noticing him put away them emblem. 'A priest...' she said to herself. She was snapped back to reality and shook her head. "What you did was no stupid...." she said with a soft smile. Looking at both of them she clasped her hands behind her back and rocked on her heels.

He waited and listened to both of them. He wavered on until Auron had finished speaking. He was kinda glad that another person like this would also believe in the same hopes that he did."Yeah, the fight's not over yet. I'm sure they'll come..."He looked at the window and noticed the sun barely slipping away into the horizon. He knew it was late and decided that now he should start any healing necessary."Auron, lay down somewhere so I can begin healing. It'll be a long night for the both of us. I would like if we started early to get it over with."He looked back at Quinn who had reassured Auron that what he did was not stupid. He decided that he should help him feel better too."You did only what a kind hearted soul would do Auron, and that's the best thing you could have done. Now, lets get started huh? Quinn, maybe you could find rooms or something to stay in while me and Auron set up a healing station or something."He didn't want to seem to ignore her, plus this would give her something to do while they try to set up.

Quinn nodded to sukyo. "Right..." she said and thought for a moment. "I think I saw some things in another room that we can use... Let me go get them." she said and left the room. Hurriedly but cautiously she ran up the stairs and grabbed her things and went rummaging around for more items. There would have to be more items around.
She searched the other rooms and found a locked cabinet. Breaking the lock, she found some blankets and emergency items. Bringing them with her, she headed back down to the lower level where the other two were at. "I found some things, maybe this can help... and then I also have some canteen items in my bag. " she said with a soft smile.

He rummaged in his satchel a second, then checked his pocets and sighed. "I've only carried my weapons, I wasn't looking for supplies when I left town. That and my book is all I have on me."
'A preist with weapons, nice,' He thought to himself, 'now you sound like a threat.'
In his wounded state, he could only hope they didn't decide to see that as a threat to them; he wouldn't be able to fight anything at the moment. OOC:

He heard a few things bang around here and there and it kinda put him on edge, but he quickly got over it when she came back down with some stuff. He looked through it and pondered what he could do with it. "I can use these. Good finds. Thanks a lot."He took a blanked and laid it down on a random table. He walked around and darkened all the windows with a dark vale of energy. He then quickly sparked some balls of light and spread them around the ceiling of the building so they could see. The building would be completely dark without the light. He quickly ran around cleaning the room and putting stuff out of the way. He took the other blankets and placed them in the room so they would have adequate space between each other. He set up an area for all of them and looked at Auron. "Okay Auron, just get on the table and I'll get started healing you. If it hurts too much I'll put you to sleep. Okay?"He didn't mind the Priest talking about having weapons only, because that was all he traveled with too. He looked back at Quinn, "I've set up sleeping places for all of us if that's okay. Yours is over by the light. I'm by the window so you guys wouldn't have to be cold. Auron will rest up on the counter tonight so his wounds can heal...if that's alright Auron."He took a deep breath and looked around the room, it was clean, the windows and doors were sound and light proof, the beds are set up and everything was in order. Quinn watched Sukyo move around the room quickly throwing up the lights, and blanketing everything with his powers. Once he was done, she sat down on one of the beds that sukyo made and opened her pack. "I hope you don't mind me watching... I've never seen anyone heal someone before..." she said with slight smile. Her attention was drawn to the lights above her lighting the place up for them to see. She watched the other two with intent, from where she sat. Realizing there was more for her to do, she got out the canteens. She got to rummaging through her bag and pulled out two large bottles of water and some emergency packaged dried food. There was enough for each of them to get full on. She had found them earlier before running from the underverse earlier.

He was hesitant to be in such a vulnerable spot, especially around two he had just met. Even if he was to protect the girl, his insecurity of getting too attached to someone and the fear of losing them seemed to resonate through his head.
"I hope you know what you are doing... I'll not have you putting me to sleep. I will grit through it, but with the amount of danger still hovering outside I'd rather not slow you two down." He said, still weary of the potential threats that they would have to face. Eventually the Underverse would reach this city, and when wasn't something he knew, and not knowing something so important was killing him.
He lay flat on the counter top, head facing the ceiling before he closed his eyes with a sigh. "Don't exhaust yourself just to heal me. Just heal the major wounds if it comes to that, then I can heal myself okay? No sense in both of us not being able to fight," A chuckle. 'Since when did I chuckle?' He thought with a grunt. OOC:

He took a deep breath and turned back to Auron who was already on the table. He closed his eyes as a glowing blue patterned formed on the floor and filled the room with a shade of blue light. Luckily the room's windows and doors had a black veil over them or the that would be lit up like a Christmas tree. He took another deep breath and released a white aura around Auron's body. "I'm just checking for where the wounds are for now. I'm gonna start healing soon." He opened his eyes and the white veil over Auron fell into his body, the blue symbols glowed even brighter. The healing started inside of Auron's body. It started to close any bleeding and damage done to any bones and organs. The damage was extensive, but was able to be healed. Then it resurfaced and the veil was just above the surface of his skin. It healed any cuts, bruises, or even dead skin on the surface of his skin. As it drew to a close the veil started disappearing around Auron. It kept the pain at bay as the veil started to fade, but when it disappeared all the pain of the broken bones and such being fixed sank into Auron's body. "Grit your teeth, this is gonna hurt like hell." He held him down as all the pain was about to hit Auron at once. ✙ ▶xxDon't Worry About My Feelingsxxxxxxxxxxx
