The dragon king remained seated as Love went to seek out his guest... Who, from the look of it, seemed more than that. He did notice that the long-haired man came out of the same room that Rio had come out of previously... But he kept his amusement to himself.
There would be plenty of time to tease Love later.
The language the two of them used was unknown to him, of course, so instead the dragon king simply nodded his head in greeting. Good thing body language was universal !

Leo smiled and let go of Love's hand to bow. "I'm pleased to meet you, Lifewater." He didn't dare try and use the Dragon King's name for fear of mangling it beyond recognition. His common was a bit rough and heavily accented but it was understandable at least. "Desiderio said something about...dance lessons?" It was odd having to think so much before speaking, he had not needed to learn a new language in quite some time.

The mortal's words were heavily accented - common was not his first language, that much was apparent. Ti Lung smiled, reminded of his host by that fact, but did not voice that thought out loud.
"It is a pleasure to meet you as well." Mortal, yes, but mortals were important - and this mortal, in particular, very important to Love. He was keeping his own speech even and slow, knowing from Illisia's memories that such a thing did help with understanding a language you weren't the best at. "Yes, something like that. I am afraid I am far from the best dancer, and I have... someone to impress."

Leo listened to Xun's words carefully, smiling when the god finished speaking. "I think I can help with that. Were you hoping to start on this today?" The thought of teaching a god anything seemed a bit daunting, especially since he was used to teaching children. Hopefully it wouldn't turn out that he was in over his head.

"If you have nothing else to do, I'd appreciate starting today." Really, he probably needed... a lot of work, to put it nicely.
But he just needed to know enough, just enough to make sure he did not do anything embarrassing. Right ? No stepping on feet or smacking into other people with his wings. It couldn't be that bad, right ?

"No plans for today....as far as I know?" Leo glanced over at Love, wondering if he had anything in mind.

"Nothing here," Rio confirmed, settling back down onto a pillow. This was going to be fun to watch!

Really, Rio looked a little too eager to watch this trainwreck unfold.
Well, trainwreck where he was concerned. He was certain Leo did dance rather well, if he had been offered as a teacher. "Where should we start ?" He asked.

Leo needed to gauge what the dragon king already knew before he would have a better idea of where to begin teaching. "When you think about dancing with someone, where does it feel like your hands should sit?" A few words slipped out in his native language without him realizing it. It would be hard for him to concentrate on language when there was something else to focus on. Clearly this would make for an interesting lesson.

Indeed, the poor dragon looked quite confused - through he could piece the meaning together with the sentence having been mostly english.
Well, he hoped, at least. Through.. really. Where should his hands go ? What did that had to do with dancing ?
"Um." Yes, that was quite telling. "In theirs ?"
Yes, this would be an interesting lesson indeed.

Leo took the dragon king's puzzled look in stride, still not realizing his language slip up. It seemed he would have to start at the very beginning. "Half right." The D'Angeline stepped closer and took one of Xun's hands, setting to to rest on his shoulder before taking the other and keeping it in his and resting his free hand on the dragon king's waist. "This for more ah...polite...dancing." He was not sure that polite was the best word for it but it was the only one that came to mind.
"For something more intimate, you usually stand closer obviously. With your arms around your partner's waist or neck." Those dances were simpler, just swaying to the music or playing off each others steps. Lifewater had someone he wanted to impress though, so that meant teaching him something a little fancy. "The biggest obstacle is being relaxed and comfortable, but still aware at the same time."
It was obvious enough from Leo's demeanor that this lesson was well practiced. He understood Xun's anxiety.

As unsure of his choice of words as Leo was, well, the dragon king still seemed to understand. Through, really, there was little need for 'polite' dancing in between him and Glyph - not with their feelings in the open as they were.
Still, it could be useful to know.
It was odd to be so close to another who was not his brothers or Glyph, but he squashed the bit of embarrassment he felt. He nodded his understanding, through, and mirrored Leo's motions.

"Just keep looking me in the eye and try not to think overmuch, it complicates things." Made others more self conscious for one, which causes mistakes more often and even more embarrassment. "Lets try a few steps and see if you can follow them without me telling you." Some understood the 'do not think, just act' part better than others.
He started to move then, just a few simple steps to see if Lifewater could keep up with him.

Well, the look in the eyes part was a little harder - Leo was much shorter than he was ! But then, well, with Glyph he would have the opposite problem.
He hadn't really thought it possible to change so much in between true shapes until he had seen it, really.
The steps Leo did were easy to follow, and he did so easily enough, through it was obvious he was overthinking it all a little bit in spite of it all.

"Relax." He reminded Xun gently. It was always harder for adults to let go than it was for children; too many years of criticism and judgement maybe?
Another set of steps, a bit different and longer than the last. Were it not for the height difference he might have tried to spin Lifewater, just to add a bit of something else. This whole exercise would have been easier with music but Leo could make do, just timing steps on heart beats for now.
