Or, well, the banshee might have overheard, even. Echo hadn't exactly been silent. Or subtle, really.
Well, he did not need to tell her twice. She followed soon after him, those large, ever-shifting wings spreading wide to support her flights, the notes and melodies that emerged from them shifting depending on which way the wind hit the 'feathers'.
She was still unused to flight, but she figured that as long as she did not tumble down, things would be fine. "Lead the way !" She called out, playfully.

Illumin spiraled downward - just being outside, the sun washing over him, was startlingly revitalizing. His skin drank in the light with every movement; he could hear Echo behind him, the music inherent in her own movements unmistakable.
The mortals - his mortals - had cleared a place for them to land, the village elder Alvir standing a few steps forward of the gathered crowd. Illumin touched the ground lightly, and that too was strangely fulfilling, to feel earth under his feet again. But they were all looking at him, eyes bright.
"I am here," he said, words failing.
"So you are, at last," Alvir said, steadying himself on his walking-stick as he bowed. "And will you stay?"
There was a hint of well-deserved reproach in the old man's words. "I will," Illumin said, bowing his head.
"Then we are well met. Lady," he added, looking up briefly to Echo before bowing to her as well.

Echo's landing was a little rougher around the edges - through she thankfully did not fall flat on her face. That would have been... quite embarrassing.
"It is a pleasure." She said in return, to all those gathered around them. She was curious about these people, as she was curious about most mortals.

He could feel the flare of their belief all around him - it had never left them, but his emergence was rekindling their souls, awakening their faith anew. "I would walk with you a while, and learn what has transpired. My halls shall be truly open to you all once more," he added, raising his voice so that all might hear.
"Aye, after making all yon stars, you might well have need of rest," Alvir said, nodding to him. "You are awake, then?"
"I am, and shall sleep no more. Thank Music, for you owe her more than you know."
The entire crowd's gaze focused on Echo. "Our gratitude to you then, Lady," Alvir replied, bowing again, lower this time. The crowd followed suit, until the gods were surrounded by humans bent low.
Illumin turned to her, a faint smile on his face, and bowed as well.

That the mortals bowed was something that she had expected, and she accepted the gestures gladly, warmly.
She, on the other hand, had not expected Illumin to follow suit. It caught her off guard, but she did return that smile. She had only been the catalyst, the trigger.
The rest would be for Illumin to do, and to continue to do. The tune of her wings turned bright, uplifting, and spoke more than words could have. Of her happiness to see him well again, of her pride had being part of that.
At the delight she felt, to stand here with him, among his followers, those precious bright flames of belief.
"I would like to walk with you as well, get to see this city from within instead of from above, if you would allow it." If not, then she would understand - they might have things to discuss that were private, for all she knew, and Music had no want to impose on such a thing.

"Of course - come with me, and sing away my guilt should it crash on me once more." Illumin held his arm out to Echo, grateful beyond words. "I must learn much, and see much... Alvir?"
The Elder bowed. "Lord. The plantings are going in..." he began, turning to lead the way down the center street of the village.

"Certainly." Echo smiled, definitively curious about Illumin's people, and willing to learn more about them. She did hope that further aid on her end would not be needed, however - as she had no idea what having to pull another song off again might do to the mortal themselves.
In the end, however, that would prove not to be needed.
