Ariyo nodded, "considering we haven't really spoken until now i wouldn't expect you to trust me. trust is something that is built, it can't be made in a single day, though there are exceptions." he nodded when Haydon said he didn't need to know any more about Adam. "if you say so, then i shall leave the subject lay. as for my being here-school is out and i am fond of the outdoors. rather than go home to an empty house, i'd rather spent time out here and relax for a bit." he took a deep breath and scented Haki, so the man had finished already. good. he was close, waiting to report Ariyo imagined, but also was giving the two of them room. He wanted to comment that Hayden often smelled of the outdoors, something he loved about her, but he didn't dare. "The greens are soothing to me, as are the scents and sounds. where i lived before i wasn't able to get outside much and so being in a place like this is heavenly to me." especially since the place he'd lived before this had been Hell, if only for a short period of time.

Haydon green Adam Haydon watched him for a moment longer, her expression almost surprised before she tilted her head. "Empty house? Do you not have family?" she asked, genuinely curious now. Deep within her there was a twinge of what may have seemed like pain as Haydon gave a slight cringe. She didn't even know if she had any family and what family she might have had abandoned her. Haydon quickly turned to hide her face. "Come, the sun is starting to set." she used as cover as she began to walk once more. As she walked her thoughts went to what Ariyo had said about not able to get outside much. "Where are you from anyway?" she asked, not willing to look at him as she finally reached the end of the woods and found the pavement of her street.

Ariyo smiled slightly, "i am currently living with an old friend, but he is never home so in a way, yes. i have never known my father and my mother staid around long enough to teach me how to survive before leaving as well." he shrugged, "it is the way of her people, i cannot blame her for following her nature." though Haydon's interest made him a little happy, though she tried to cover it up. "yes, it is, i suppose we should be heading home then. will you allow me to walk you home first? it is not safe for a woman to be alone, no matter how strong that woman may be." at the question of where he came from, he looked away, "i was born in a small village in Korea, but i have traveled a lot. i can't really say that i am from any one place, but before here i was down south for a time where it wasn't encouraged to go outside and even if you did there wasn't much to see."

Haydon green Adam Haydon cringed again as Ariyo explained his situation, about his mother and father. "At least you weren't abandoned at birth." she said very quietly, not able to hold back the words. Haydon suddenly hoped that Ariyo didn't hear them. She looked back at the boy with an almost sad expression. "Sure." she nodded to his offer of walking her home, once again she unknowingly let her guard drop. Haydon then quickly looked away in realization that her guard was down. What was wrong with her? She listened to him as he explained where he was from and nodded. "I see." she said and began to walk down the street with him. Haydon still felt old wounds reopening as she was reminded of her nonexistent family, she bit her lip as she tried to keep her expression normal. "As far as I know I was born and raised in this place they call a town." she explained as she looked around.

Of course he already knew that, but it still hurt Ariyo to hear it, "I'm sorry. omong my mother's people it is rare for them to do as much as she did. normally they leave and let the child figure things out on their own, but i cannot imagine the pain you must go through." he moved to walk beside her rather than behind and very gently lay his hand on Haydon's shoulder as they walked, "but you have a family now, don't you? someone who took you in and raised you, someone who loves you. doesn't that count as family?" he wanted her to see some brightness in what was going on around her.

Haydon green Adam Haydon stopped at Ariyos touch as her charm throbbed with warmth once again and she looked at him with a face that no one had ever seen her wear before, she almost looked like a child. Her brows frowned. "I would never forget the love Bryan has shown me." she said defensively as if Ariyo had just accused her of not caring for Bryan. She did care for him. He was probably the only person she could say she loved like family, then again he was the only person she's ever had thats even close to being family. It took a moment of looking at Ariyo to realize what she was doing. She was openly trusting him without reason, trusting him enough to expose feelings that were none of his business. Haydon froze with a shocked expression, her green eyes looking at him as her mind became jumbled up in confusion. She tried to say something but all that came out was a bunch of babbling, stuttering and nonsense. Haydon then just turned with the same expression and started to slowly walk again.

Such an adorable expression, but Ariyo didn't dare comment, he just stored it away in his memories to relish later. "I never said you do not care for Mr.Bryan, Miss Haydon. you obviously care very much for him and he you. i am glad there is someone in your life whom you love and loves you. and i hope that someday there will be more people included in your love and who love you as well." he walked along with her once more, longing to hold her hand but forcing himself not to. "Miss Haydon? will you allow me to walk you home from school like this tomorrow? i find i rather enjoy talking with you and i hope you enjoy talking with me as well. at the very least you don't seem to dislike it"

Haydon green Adam They came up to her house now and Haydon looked at him with a conflicted expression, would she say yes? She thought about it for a moment before hearing Bryan open the door. "Little missy I need to talk to you." he said just as any parent would scold their child, then his eyes came upon Ariyo and he looked almost surprised. Haydon, not facing Bryan yet looked like a little kid who had been caught stealing a cookie from the cookie jar. "Sure." she quickly answered Ariyo's question and shook his hand as if accepting a deal then headed up the steps and into the house. "Who-" Bryan began. "What is it you need to talk about?" Haydon cut him off and dragged him inside after saying a quick goodbye to Ariyo and unknowingly giving him a small smile.

Ariyo smiled and waved back, inclining his head to Mr. Green, "My name is Ariyo, i moved here recently and Miss Haydon was showing me the way home." he nodded to the man again before walking down the street toward the home he and Haki shared. "Report," he said softly and listened to Haki tell him about marking the houses as well as Adam and the first man. "interesting, i shall visit him later, just to see but i think revenge might have been extracted. not that i do not believe there is room for more." he smirked, a truly devilish smile, as he walked into his home. Haki finally showed himself and he smiled at the man who'd been at his side since childhood. ((Time skip to morning?))

Haydon green Adam Haydon didn't get much sleep and what little sleep she did get was stollen by the merciless hand of her nightmares. Sitting up quickly, breathing hard with a face sticky from sweat, Haydon shivered. She slipped out of bed and turned off her alarm clock which read to be 3:45am. She still had an hour or two before it would go off but she turned it off anyway, she would not be going back to bed. As she got ready for the day, Haydon stood under the warm water of her shower for a long time. Her bright eyes looked empty before she turned off the water and got dressed, not bothering to dry her hair. Before going down stars, she stopped and glanced at her charm around her neck in the mirror. Bryan was still sleeping but Haydon didn't feel like making breakfast today. Quietly she slipped out of the house with her school bag, even though she still had hours before she needed to be anywhere. The green eyed girl went straight to the beach behind her house, she always wore a swimsuit under her clothes. Haydon began to strip her clothes off before finding her surf board hidden in some bushes. With a smile she dove into the water with it. She would catch a few waves before school, to clear her mind. Meg sat at the kitchen table with a gathering of strange items before her. "Another sleepless night?" she questioned as Adam came into the room looking particularly grim. "Here, drink this." she handed him a glass with strange colored liquid in it. For Adam this was not strange, he was used to being given unknown drinks never questioning them due to the fact that they always helped him. What he wasn't prepared for was the god awful taste as he choked on the substance. Meg gave a grin. "Careful its a little strong." Adam gave her an 'Oh really?' look as his coughing subsided, he began to feel better though. Adam then began to make some breakfast and handed Meg some eggs. "Why thank you." she said and patted his shoulder. "Whats planned for today?" he asked as he began to eat his own food. "Its to school with you young man. I have to go help out at the hospital." she said and shooed him out of the kitchen to get ready for school.

Ariyo slept little that night, but it didn't matter, he more than restored his energy supply and wouldn't need to feed again for several days. he slipped back into the top window of their home and pulled off the dark clothing he'd been wearing. though he was a demon and able to move very quickly, it was still easier if he wore dark clothing to blend in just in case. he nodded to Haki and head to his room to get a few hours of sleep before getting up and ready for school. he'd asked Haydon if he could walk her home, but not if he could walk her too school so he was going to try and time it right so he was passing her house as she was leaving.

Ariyo stepped out of his house when Haki alerted him that Haydon was coming back to shore. it amused him that she would go surfing before class, but it wasn't unusual for humans to do such. it fascinated him, he could swim well enough, but the idea of surfing was a bit much for him. he head towards the school and 'happened' to see Haydon coming around her house and had to stop for a moment, in awe of the wonder view granted him. he was suddenly glad he hadn't see her when she was surfing, he had a feeling he would have wept at the beauty of his mate had he seen her with just the swim bottoms and no pants. "A little early for a swim, Miss Haydon, but you look rushed. school does not start for another half hour, is there something important you need to get there for?"

Haydon green Adam Haydon's head snapped around to the sound of Ariyo's voice and suddenly she became self-conscious as she used her shirt as a shield to his eyes and turned away. "W-what are you doing here?!" she sputtered demandingly, quickly slipping her shirt on over her damp swimsuit and soaked skin. Her hair was still dripping wet and tangled as she spun around to face Ariyo once again. "I had a detention yesterday that was inconveniently forgotten about. I'm late for my own funeral as it were." she answered his question as she pulled her soaked hair back into a hair tie. Finished wrestling with her unkept mane, Haydon placed her hands on her hips and let out a huff of breath. "And you? Out on a morning stroll are we?" she questioned almost suspiciously as she eyed the boy.

Ariyo smiled and turned around for Haydon's benefit, not turning back until she spoke to him again. "i forgot my math book at school and am heading there early so i can do my homework before school starts." he shrugged and was glad to see her wounds from the day before were gone already. "besides, i usually go to school a bit early, i like the calm of it rather than the usual rush right before school starts." he walked up to Haydon's side and offered her his arm, "may we walk together since we are both going to the same place, Miss Haydon?"
