Ligeia slid off of his fathers shoulder landy easily on the ground with a flutter of his wings then walked over to Kale, "Go s-Eeeee my room?" He asked, it was the coolest room ever! Or at least in his opinion which really at his age was the only opinion on if something was 'cool' or not.
Orpheus gave a smile, "Let them go and play." He said to Emer, "I promise he won't get lost in the mess. After all he is taller then most the piles of stuff." He joked.

Emer smiled and nodded her approveal. Gentealy nudging Kale towareds Liegia, "Go on, but play nice." She ruffled the giraeffie's mohawke. His ears quivered in excitment as he cheered, hurring over the owl boy. She looked up at Orphues, "It's not that, I just didn't want him mess up a pile of important papers, or something." She mummred softly.
Kale laughed taking a small hop right before he got to Liegia so he landed right in front of him. "Momma said I could go play and see your room!"

Orpheus gave a little shake of his head, "I doubt he could mess anything up. Its rather already as messed up as it can be." He said then started to laugh as he scrapped up a couple different papers. He looked one of them over then smiled and held it up, a drawing of what Ligeia thought the contents of his egg would look like, "A Frost Dragon." He told Emer then moved over to hang it on the wall with his other pictures.
Ligeia smiled, taking Kale's hand and led him down the hall to his room, "This is my room." He said to the giraffe, it was rather neat comparted too the rest of the house, there was a lot of toys, dragon stuff, and a hammock that was covered in a bunch of blankets so it resembled a nest of sorts.

She grinned softly, "Looks good, he's quite the artiest." Slowly gathering books and pages up off a chair looking around before dumping them into another pile of random stuff. She sank in the chair, crossing her legs, "So, how did you get roped into parenthood?"
Kale's eyes where wide as he looked at the room. "Wow..." was his hushed whisper of awe. "I like your room!"

He nodded as he looked at the different pictures on the wall then looked over at Emer and smiled, "D-corp just gave me a nice offer for a job and I thought it would be less work then when I was running around as a gem theif."
Man was he totally wrong about that one. This was a lot harder and more complicated of a job with less sleep. Far more worthwhile.
Ligeia gave a smile and nodded, "Thank you." He said as he walked over and crawled up into his hammock nest and held his gloved hands out to Kale to help him crawl up into the nest, "What is your room like?"

Emer looked around, at all the child drawen pictuers desplayed proudly around the rooms, the toys stacked about randomely. Even a story book or two mixed in with all the papers. She streach, picking up a photo, looking at the image of Orphues holding a smaller Liegia. Both of them smiling and giving each other bunnie ears. She smirked, amazed at how much her old friend had changed, and at the same time...not changed. She tilted her head flipping the picture over, "So.... where is Kelsey?"
Kale reached up and took ahold of the other's hands, his clumsy flaingings almost tipping the hamoke before he landed chest first into the soft bed, the motion making the bed sway softly. Kale giggled as he turned onto his back, "Your bed is fun!"

Orphues cleared off some space on the couch moving aside some blankets and a couple toys that Ligeia had drug out last time he'd been working on class schedules and Ligeia on his reading, "Huh?" He glanced over at Emer for a long moment looking a little confused, "Who now?"
The name was familiar but he couldn't place it for a moment, then it clicked, "Ahhh... right. Her." he murmured then shrugged, "I haven't the foggiest."
Ligeia giggled then nodded, "Its the best bed, kinda like n-Eeeeest." He said, fluttering his wings somet as Kale got comfortable then laid on his side, "Its very comfy." And who didn't love a bed that could swing?

Emer's eyebrows raised, suprise he didn't seem to recall the woman who use to finace thier little adventures. She srugged and left it alone for now, picking up a finger painting of what looked like a blue dragon and a little black and white creature with wings, "Liegia and his dragon?" She hazored a guess.
Kale giggled again as he squirmed into a sitting postion. "My bed is low to the floor, not as fun but I like it. It's soft, really soft and warm. There some other stuff too, but we where only there for a little bit then we came to see you and your Dad. Your Dad is nice, he is really happy, my Momma doesn't seem to be very happy, I wonder if that will change...." He stopped to take a breath noticing a little plushie dragon and picking it up to hug it, completely distracted. "He is soft!"

"He's been reading a lot of books so this is his interpritation of what he thinks the little beasty would look like." He said looking down at the picture, "He's getting more and more excited as time passes since he thinks that it will be hatching soon. He said the markings on the egg seem shinier." He had no idea if that really meant anything more then they were just shinier but the owl was completely convinced and he wasn't about to argue with him. One never knew, he could be right.
"Mayb-Eeeee I can s-Eeee sometime." He told the giraffe boy, he would have to ask his Daddy but maybe they could go and visit where Miss Emer and Kale were staying like they came to visit here? That would be nice!
Ligeia lowered a foot to the floor and sent the two of them swinging slowly, the rocking motion soothing to him.

Emer turned the picture around, examing the picture and smiled a bit. It was cute, and you could tell that it was carefully drawen. She set it on one of the stackes to the side of her chair. "So they actully have dragons huh? And Kale will get one that suites him? This is some wild gig you got yourself into Solon." She shook her head, laughing softly amazed that she was now part of it, but mostly that now she was a parent.
Kale grinned and clapped, "YAY, that would be fun. Then you can see all my toys, and my house and we can draw together, and you can see my picture books and everything!"

"Better to do something wild then something dull. I don't do well with dull. You of all people would know that best." He said then gave a smile, "And hey now I'm not the only one that is in this wild gig as your a Mommy now too."
And soon Kale would be doing all of the same things as Ligeia, 'Yep. The Boss and the Dtechs I think are the ones that choose which dragon goes with which student. I don't know but they pick ones that are best suited for the child and the child's DNA." He explained to her.
"Sounds good. Will be fun." And the first time that he had gone to visit a friend's place as more often then not he met others in the classroom only. He wasn't the most social creature but he was working on getting better about such things.

Emer almost winced when he called her a Mommy, "Yeah, I'm still getting use to that. How long did it take you use to be called 'Daddy'? And after all the hiests we pulled, this has to be the scarest thing I have ever done." Reaching her hands over her face, her next words muffled by her hands. "I can't believe I let you talk me into this..."
Something caught his eye Kale immedatly turned and lundged out of the hammoke, almost tipping them both out. "Blocks!" He sat down on the floor. He looked over and picked up a lincon log, "What is this?"

"The first time he said it I practically melted. I never really planned on being a father but once I was given the opportunity I realized that it was something I really wanted to do." He said, smiling some then looked over at her, "I didn't mean to force you into this, it was your choice Emer."
He hopped that somehow he hadn't talked her in circles enough to make her want to do this, force her to this. He would feel a little bit bad about this.
Ligeia let out a squawk, wings flapping as he tried to keep from falling over onto to get dumped out of the hammock. He blicked a couple of times then looked over at Kale, "Huh? Oh." He crawled over to sit next to the giraffe then smiled, "Lincoln Logs, they are for building houses."

Emer waved her hand in the air before looking up at him with a small smile. "When have you ever forced me into anything Solon? Like I said, I just don't want to screw him up, make have to go into therpy or anything later in life." She rose and moved over to his little kitchen, "So, you got any veggie stuffs? The Teches recomended things like salads with tones of differnt vegtiables for him."
"Building houses?" He moved his mouth slowly around the word as he watched Liegia start to build with them. After a couple moments he joined in, carefully interlocking the logs like the owl boy ways. He even started to build some buildings around the log houses with the other blocks. As he worked the black tip of his tounge slowly started to stick out as he constrated on his work.

Orpheus gave a little bit of a shrug then walked over to the miny fridge and looked inside of it, "Ummm." He dug around, "Hey. Look at that. I do." He said taking out a few different sorts of veggies, "Ligeia isn't much of a fan of them. In fact he sorta just seems to like to eat small woodland creatures." He told her, then grinned, "Or at least what I tell him are small woodland creatures."
The owl boy was completely convinced that was what turkey and ham sandwiches were made out of.
Ligeia looked over and watched Kale as he built things, even scooted back a little to give him more room. Seemed as if the giraffe was better at that sort of thing then he was so it made it funner to watch then to build too.
