Riyo blushed, but said nothing when he mentioned her underwear. She simply shot him a glare and left it at that. Best to save the fire for whatever waited at the top.

In truth, she struggled to keep up with Titus as they ascended the stairs. One flight... Two flights... T-three flights... Oh Jack four flights...

By the fifth one she had slowed down considerably, and it bothered her. She wasn't some old broad that was out of shape. On a normal day, she could breeze through these stairs without a blink. But oh sweet Sally the pain. It hurt so much. She didn't even dare to look at her feet now, what with Titus probably paying close attention to her movements. Instead, she relied heavily on clinging to his arm until they reached the top, where she promptly released him in favor of leaning against the rail.

... There had been an elevator?

Riyo shot a deathglare at the nightmare demon as he 'apologized'. It looked like she was ready to strangle him, but once again remained silent. Why?

Because the pain would be unbearable for him when she had his a** for a week.

Honestly it was what kept her going. That and the idea of a tarnished reputation made her sick. Instead of waiting for him, Riyo confidently (and painfully) strode over to the doors and flung them open with determination filling her red eyes.

... Oh Jack.

... Most of these men were literally ********.

While Deacon was in the elevator, he took the time of the ascent to shift back into his humanoid form. It was going to be awkward enough in the presence of 75% or more of the canine classification without him strutting in still being snack-sized.

Straightening his clothes as he stepped off the elevator, he made his way into the club and did his damnedest to slip into the crowd. He wanted to watch her a bit, first.

That, and he had backup to call in.

Pulling his phone from his pocket, Deacon worked out a quick text.

He stared at his phone after it sent, brow furrowing before he typed up and sent another.

"It's showtime. You still in? She's at the Club and DAMN she's looking good."

"Just remember that we're in this together. Try not to one-up me in all the things, bro."

Titus' grin grew all the wider. "Ah, come on Princess don't be sore. No doubt you're a pro at walking in those ghoully shoes, am I right?" One jab after another. Titus was soaking this up.

"Come on, time to strut your stuff, Ms. Boil." Titus looked out over the room of tall burly men, inwardly shuddering a bit because what Riyo didn't know was that this club had a 'special night' for those interested in the same gender. This just happened to be that night so while she might have been on edge he was the one that really needed to be on guard. a** gropings were no doubt in his future. Why did he decide on such a night? Well, secretly Titus was fairly certain he would lose this bet playing fair.

Speaking of groping, Deacon would find a rather interesting surprise as the large hand of a tall wolf man came to rest on his rear giving it a squeeze. "Hey there kitty kat." He attempted to coo.

Right. Strut her stuff. Mm.

Glancing back at Titus for only a moment, Riyo finally got up the courage to walk into the room with her head held high, scanning the place for a feasible target. Why were they not... Looking at her? Well, sure. A couple of them shot her odd glances but... She sorta figured with the way they looked these burly men would be all over the cat ghoul. Was that stereotyping? Were they actually nice people? No, that was Mitsu thinking. Just because they weren't doing anything offensive right now didn't mean they wouldn't. She had to stay on her guard.

Lets see... That one guy at the bar seemed quiet enough. Sipping on his beverage and gazing at the bartender intently. Odd, but Riyo supposed she was out of touch with the bar scene.

Step 1: Attempt an interesting conversation. If only to put their attention on her.

Step 2: Pose seductively? Psch. The ghoul figured just sitting right now was seductive enough. Seriously. The slits stopped right before her underwear.

Step 3: If steps one and two don't do it, drop a hint.

All these had been scribbled down on a piece of paper the ghoul had stuffed in her purse to remind herself of what that one site on the interweb said. It seemed reliable enough. And of course, the feline was doing her best to follow the advice of her friends. Stay tall. Be confident (or at least look it).

The ghoul took long, graceful (painful) strides over and comfortably had a seat on the stool next to the man... Who only sent her a glance.

Hmmmmmmmm.....

"So uh. What're you having tonight?" She casually asked as her elbow rested on the tabletop. Her eyes looked him over intently, inwardly cringing at all the hair. She imagined he'd have to clean out the shower drain regularly... If he even took showers.

"Mm? Oh. Bloody Mary." The wolf man said casually. "And maybe a side of bartender." He shot the other man a wink, who in turn smiled back. Uh... Okay then. What did that mean?

"Oh, fantastic. He must make good drinks then." The ghoul mused as she glanced at the bartender... Who really paid her no mind.

"Huhuhuh. He knows how to mix up some liquids for sure." The way he was smiling implied Riyo had missed a very funny joke.

She laughed anyways. A subtle giggle. Ugh, he hated giggling. "What brings you to a place like this?"

The man quirked an eyebrow and finally gave Riyo a look over. "I should really be asking you that question, little lady. Either way, I think you're meowing up the wrong tree."

Meowing up the wrong... W-what? "Oh... Okay then." Immediately she faced forward, scratching her head and contemplating what the hell that might mean.

Just to be cheeky, Titus gave Riyo the thumbs up of encouragement. It was like saying, yeah you got this ghoul. If only Riyo knew. No doubt she would figure it out soon but it had never been in their agreement that the men had to be straight. Nor were a lot of things. Oh beautiful loopholes.

As Riyo seemed to have her first target narrowed down and had pepped herself up to have a jab at this flirting business, Titus found a seat at the bar and made himself at home watching with amusement. He didn't want to miss a minute. He was going to be drinking this up for days to come. Look at her, playing off this confident ghoul who looked like she could rule the world and this guy wasn't giving her the time of day. It took every ounce of will power not to break down laughing at this very moment.

"Hey there handsome," Titus could feel the suddenly strong and large male presence behind him, his brows furrowing as he waited for the - yep there it was, the a** grab. "I think the two of us should get to know one another." The voice continued.

Titus made a face now realizing he was suddenly in the position of the ghoul being picked up at a bar. It was quite frankly a slap in the face but he turned around still, his smile slight until he was facing the large wolf man who ....oh jack he looked like a lumber jack. This was going to take a different tactic, Titus didn't want to miss what Riyo was doing in favor of getting into a fight.

"Sorry, Screechheart, I'm waiting for my boilfriend." Titus flashed a smile then, gleaming white teeth all the more prominent in the dark lighting. It seemed to be enough to make the man cringe back. The nightmare demon was not in mystery as to why.

While Riyo puzzled over her most recent interactions a rather tall woman made her way up to the bar. She was by all means striking even if her figure was slight. Short elegant dress, long legs, smooth skin, and the hint of horns peeking out from under her bangs. She strolled up to the bar as if she were floating on those tall heels coming to a stop right next to Riyo to take in her look.

"Love that dress, its so ghoully. The side slits sell it." Her voice was a mock attempt at being feminine. This ghoul wasn't a ghoul at all. The adam's apple didn't lie. "Where did you get it?"
PostPosted: Sat Feb 25, 2012 9:18 pm

While Riyo sat there pondering her current conundrum, her ears perked as someone seemed to address her. That voice... What was?

The ghoul turned around in her stool and seemed somewhat surprised. What was wrong with her voice? "Oh, thank you." It didn't matter. A kind face at this moment was more than welcome. "One of my friends lent it to me for today. It's not really my style but hopefully it'll get me through tonight."

... Which sounded a lot more perverted than she realized. Still, she smiled, oblivious to the implications.

But something wasn't quite right here. Riyo lifted a hand to her chin as she gave the 'ghoul' in front of her a quick look over. What was going on here?

The realization struck her when she noticed two burly men making out just over her new friend's shoulder. Eyes sunk in in the realization of what was happening, and the implications of this person complimenting her.

It was like... Someone placed a pipe bomb in the vase her great grandmother hand spun and shattered it to pieces, except the vase was actually Riyo's confidence as a woman and the pipe bomb was this whole ******** situation. Inwardly, there was a mini version of her on the ground with her head hung low on hands and knees, weeping like a small child that had dropped the only ice scream left in the world. This person thought she was a boil dressed up as a ghoul after she'd worked SO JACKDAMN HARD to be as ghouly as she could be. Any hopes of her being a proper lady someday sank to the bottom of a pitch black chasm, never to be seen again.

But on the outside... Her eye simply twitched. She shot Titus a look. It started out as hollow and cold, but something... Unsettling happened. She smiled. And that smile turned into a grin. A big, terrifying grin with folded back ears that could have very well translated into 'I'm going to mercilessly rape and murder you later for this.'

There was no pride for the feline to have in this situation. Not a single sliver. Clearing her throat, Riyo lowered her chin and turned back to the bar for a second.

"HEY BARTENDER." The ghoul called out in a deep, commanding voice. Sweet Sally, she almost sounded like a man. "NEED A MARTINI. SHAKE IT, DON'T STIR IT."

If Titus wanted to play dirty pool, then by Jack the cat ghoul had an ace or two up her own sleeve.

Finally, she faced the 'ghoul' once again with a calm smile. "Oh, I just looove your shoes screecheart. Couple more inches on those heels and you might just go through the roof." Sure. She could do this. All she had to do was be obnoxious and talk like ghouls did at the maul.

The shemale giggled into her hand at Riyo's comment, "Oh honey, I think you'll do great. You look stunning." The pretend ghoul stood tall when Riyo looked her over, smiling almost playfully. She only seemed to smile all the more as Riyo yelled out for the barkeep. Such a commanding voice!

"Oh thank you, Gum drop!" The ghoul looked overly flattered but posed to show off her shoes from every angle. "They are the latest trend I just had to have them." And then the chattering began. Ghoul talk that was mostly one sided because the shemale just wouldn't shut up about what they had seen at the maul, the latest trends what were in and what shouldn't be. She was on the know of modern fashion.

As soon as Riyo sent that death glare his way Titus wiggled his fingers in a mock wave, his lips pulling back in lieu of a sweet smile. This was better than reality tv and Titus was tuned in to see what would happen next though he cautiously kept and ear out for approaching trouble.

Well... It may have been painful, but some compliments in this situation were better than none, right? "That means a lot to me, actually. I'm doin' my best." What was she doing her best at? Well, Riyo wasn't going to specify so it was really up to her 'friend' to contemplate.

When the martini came out, the ghoul threw some seeds on the table. When she took a sip of it, the feline paused and gave the bartender a generous tip. That first guy was right. He knew how to mix liquids.

Taking a big swig of liquid courage, Riyo silently listened to the ghoul ramble on and on about shoes. The feline occasionally threw in a nod or a 'mhm, though she really wasn't listening in the least. It was just hen chatter anyways.

By the time the 'conversation' was over, the ghoul was on her third martini, and well on her way to being okay.

"That... Is fascinating my friend." Riyo grinned and leaned back against the bar top. "So tell me gorgeous." Leaning forward with half full martini in hand, the demoness stared intently at her new acquaintance. "How does one attain and retain the interest of these men around here? I'm a bit new to this scene and I could use all the tips I can get."

Hen chatter it certainly was. If it was any more like hen chatter the ghoul would have been clucking. She had paused here and there only encouraged by Riyo's subtle nods and small non-committal noises. It was only when Riyo finally added to the conversation that the ghoul went silent on her oh so interesting topic of bar hopping.

"Oh, Screechheart," The ghoul giggled once again flattered by Riyo's compliment. "You are adorable. These burly men here will hardly cast a glance our way. You'd have to be sporting a beard and rippling pectorals." The ghoul giggled again clearly amused. "Its fun to tease them though and sometimes you find the right guy who wants a little ghoul with his boil. If you know what I mean." The last sentence was clearly in a man's voice. A deep vibrating man's voice.

Titus could barely hear the conversation from his current position. He was listening hard trying to determine if Riyo was actually talking but it seemed she was mostly out of focus sipping on a drink. He really didn't expect her to dive into ghoul talk, he figured she didn't know the first thing about shoes or clothes so it wasn't surprising that she was silent through most of the exchange. The drink, however, spurred a need.

"Hey barkeep!" Titus called out. The bartender looked his way and narrowed his eyes having apparently dealt with the boil before. Strolling over the bar tender leaned against the counter staring at Titus in a less than amused way.

"I hope your asking for a carbonated beverage."

Titus paused for a moment. "As long as it comes with a shot of rum in it."

"No can do."

"But..."

"We've been through this ya know.."

"But..."

"Get my attention later when you want something normal to drink." And with that the bartender strolled away.

What the hell. He had just given Riyo a drink and Titus was going to be denied? That was rather irritating and the look on Titus' face showed it. This meant war.

Find the right guy? So it was just a game of chance?

Well, Riyo supposed it was ALWAYS a game of chance, but these odds were stacked against her. "Interesting." Surely there would be a couple of boils here and there that had interest in a 'certain type of boil'... Even though she wasn't really a boil.

Jack, this was going to be awkward. But hey, strong drinks went a long way. Less pain, less nervousness. She could pull this off. She could shove her success in Titus's face, and then she could get schwasted to celebrate.

Polishing off her final martini, the ghoul shoved the glass back down on the table and stood, the killer pain in her ankles replaced with dull pings of ouch. "I guess I should get to work." Riyo winked at her new friend. Hm. She liked winking about as much as she did giggling. Best cut that out right now.

Before disappearing into the crowd, she gave Titus a devious little smile and a wave. Oooh, he seemed upset about something. Maybe he'd been turned down by the bartender. Bwa ah ah. Scrawny little p***k.

"Helloo there." Riyo placed her hand on a taller man's shoulder gently, tilting her head to get a better look at him. Frankly, she didn't really care what he looked like, but people were flattered when someone looked them over, right? That 'ghoul' certainly had been. "You uh.. Waitin' for anybody?" She was getting better at this, right? Sure, totally.

The tall fuzzy man looked Riyo over for a moment and cringed. "Certainly not you."

REJECTED.

Off to another. She played off the same act, trying to smile as best as she could.

"Sorry, I'm not into p***y cats."

REJECTED AGAIN.

"Come see me again when you've got whiskers."

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH.

Scowling as Titus often did he leaned an elbow on the counter, propping his head up as he watched Riyo walk away after...did she just wink?

That little smile she gave him had him worried, though that worry was rather short lived as he saw her going to work on these men who probably could care less if she was the hottest woman on the planet. Titus actually had a bit of a conflicting feeling about it. Was he glad they didn't notice? He shook it off. Like he cared.

The demon could give props for Riyo's determination. Outwardly she didn't really show any signs that the failure after failure after failure was getting to her. It made him chuckle though to see her rejected so quickly.

Finally he pushed away from the bar, not that he was getting anything anyway, though not by his own choice. With his smile tugging at his lips he made his way across the floor smoothly and quietly, whatever noise his boots would have made were drowned out by the music and chatter. Finally he stopped behind Riyo and summoned up his most masculine voice. "Having trouble?"
PostPosted: Wed Feb 29, 2012 9:01 pm

It was almost painful to watch Riyo... Although, Deacon was suddenly aware of the types of people that were standing around. Oh. Oh, so this was how this douche planned to win the bet. Through cheating.

The tabby scowled at that realization, watching Riyo struggle to try and pick up on the patrons that were certainly not interested. That just wasn't fair at all...

And then something else had his attention.

Deacon's eyes flew open and he bristled at the totally unexpected grope to his backside. He made a startled yelping sound, having to bite down on his own tongue to keep from belting out a curse that would probably doom him to something much worse than an a** grab in retaliation.

He practically leaped away from the wolf, covering his rear as he wheeled around.

Oh Jack. Cover. Cover. Cover.

"H-hey there, bro, don't sneak up on me like that!"

Maybe he could just... Edge between those people clustered nearby. Yeah, that was a good plan. He was here to try and get a date with Riyo, not a man or someone who thought they were one.

Riyo's ears perked up at the sound of a masculine tone addressing what she assumed was her. Immediately she turned around on her heel, eye's brimming with hope.

... Oh. "For a second there you actually sounded like a man instead of a little p***k." Even though he was still an inch or two taller than her in heels...

The ghoul seemed displeased, but probably not as much as she should've been. The scent of alcohol was on her breath, and that proooobably had something to do with it. Riyo's arms folded over her chest as she opened her mouth to speak again. "What brings you here? Is Tighty Whities afraid of the big bad wolves making him an honest man?" Her mocking tone couldn't hide the amusement she found in that new nickname. Tighty Whities. Hah, brilliant. "or were you just missing me?"
PostPosted: Thu Mar 01, 2012 8:29 pm

"I can be quite deceiving." Concerned about being called a p***k? Not really.

Stepping in a bit closer Titus mused as his arm came to rest on Riyo's shoulders. "I was simply coming to praise you on a job well done so far. I've never seen anyone rejected so quickly." Titus chuckled having a look around the room.

"Perhaps its because your mouth smells like a Frat house in peek party season." There was no end to his charm.

The large werewolf smiled down at Deacon amused by his startled expression. "What's the matter kitty cat? I don't often bite. I save that for when we get to know each other a little better." He winked then following Deacon a step as he edged between two patrons.

Deceiving? Riyo seemed unimpressed. Throwing on a deeper voice didn't make him deceiving, it just made the real him look more immaculate.

But when he placed his arm over her shoulders, the ghoul tensed. What the hell was he doing? Insulting her, as per usual. "Yeah? Well you know, it's a little difficult to cope when what you assumed was an honest bet turns sour." However... She said difficult, not impossible. "Jealous much, Tits? I noticed Mr. Bartender over there had nothing to give you. What a shame. Height must not be enough to pass you off as mature."

Now... She could pull away from him and continue to fruitlessly milk cows with no udders. But...

If the nightmare demon wanted deception, Riyo would serve it to him on her finest china with soft candle light and a cherry on top.

Instead of yanking herself out of his grasp, she sighed and leaned into him. "Though I must admit, this was quite a clever plan your little brain came up with. Very dastardly and underhanded." If the school play had proven anything (besides the fact that they couldn't have nice things), it was that Riyo could act. She was angry and mad on the inside, but the thought of conquering the cocky b*****d right next to her kept the feline smiling. "Does it feel good? Watching me struggle like this?"
