Quote: SUCK ON THIS, VALENTINE! Character Name: Kess Reever Character Faction: Negaverse Type of Drains Allowed: Any, however, if you fail, or you use Force, you may be immediately bounced from the party. She won't be wearing an wristband, but she has been pointed out as the host of the party by General Ilmenite, and therefore it is unadvised to get on her bad side. ;D Things were going well.
The warehouse was packed, she'd caught sight of numerous armbands, and the girls were hot as hell [who cared about the guys, really]. The music was sick, and after speaking with her crew, she'd jumped down from the stage to get a better feel for the crowd.
She'd come with Daphne [a usual past-time, at this point], after saving her from some dreary broken-hearts type deal, but had to part ways with the bluenette to check on things. Now, she cast an idle glance around, but couldn't make her out.
Later.
For now, her gaze caught on a dour faced, well dressed individual, and the girl sloshing a drink all over the place. Trying, and failing to keep a grin from spreading across her freckled face, the lanky blonde ran a hand through her short hair, before reaching out to separate them.
"Woah, there," She flashed Chromite a friendly sort of wink, before glancing over Jan, and the new outfit that might end up with a stain. She threw an arm around Jan's waist, pulling her closer [poor thing], her opposite hand shoving into the back pocket of fitted, masculine jeans. She dressed surprisingly simply for a rave, in a button-up shirt, suspenders, and bow-tie, beneath the leather jacket she wore when riding the Judge. "Glad you came out, Jan, my man. Who's your friend?"

Arilee felt like a kid in a candy shop, brilliantly orange-pink eyes flickered over the crowd almost predatorily. She'd just about made up her mind to accost the Peter Pan she'd seen when she felt her shoulder jostled slightly. Turning with a slight smile for the low apology, Arilee sized up the boy who'd so gently ran into her. Instant approval flooded her expression. Not just because he was cute, but because even in the middle of a rave, where people didn't usually care if they knocked into someone, he had apologized for barely brushing against her. With manners like that, this one was a keeper.
With a wide smile, Arilee reached up to gently pat the boy's cheek, resisting every temptation to pinch it.
"Oh my god, you are adorable!" she chuckled, making sure to pitch her voice to be heard over the music. "Consider yourself pardoned, sweetie. Now come dance with me!"
Winking, she reached for his wrists, thinking that he looked like he needed to unwind a little. And the best way to do that, in her books, was to dance. And besides, she could scope out future dance partners better if she was in the middle of the milling crowd.

Slightly disgruntled that he'd been caught by the bouncer on his first attempt, Aurostibite was feeling a bit out of sorts. However, the young woman he had "accidentally-on-purpose" run into gave him a wide smile, her fingers warm against his skin as she patted his cheek.
"Dance?" he repeated, and with a great deal of effort, he managed to give her a slow, almost deliberately hesitant smile, eyes flickering blue in the dark as she took ahold of his wrists.
Well, that had been easier than he'd expected.
Out on the dance floor, the crush of people was thick and loud, the music reverberating in his ears. Aurostibite stepped closer to the girl, one of his hands absently brushing against her waist as he swayed to the music, trying to get into the feel of it. Dancing was not normally something he did very often, but he supposed maybe he could used to it, in spite of the loudness of it all. There was something...interesting...to be said about the chaos that surrounded him...
Aurostibite leaned a bit closer so that the side of his face was near hers and she could hear him as he asked, a bit teasingly, "Come here often?"
His fingers very lightly brushed her waist again, briefly, but enough that he could feel the energy seeping into his own body.

A scowl when he watched Obsidian press a kiss to Ilmenite’s lips, even when the Red haired man was dressed up in what looked like leaves and linen it didn’t make him one ounce happier to see him ‘moving in’ on what he had to admit he felt like was ‘his territory’. He was surprised that Ever, rather, Ilmenite didn’t take the chance to many any plays back. He was in the process of unclenching his fists when he realized he’d been spotted. The shouted ‘Zacky-boy’, had his fists clenched again before he was even fully yanked against the taller man. “Please GOD tell me you’re drunk.” He said tensely. “Because I can’t think of another reason why ‘Zacky-boy’ would seem like a good idea.” He almost added ‘or why you thought it’d be a good thing to kiss Ilmenite’ but somehow, logic or something else stopped him. “What the HELL are you wearing?” He added trying to push free. He was grossly overdressed by comparison. He wore a dark button down and clean-cut trousers. Seemed that the General King, for all his studiousness hadn’t looked up, or cared to look up normal ‘Rave’ wear. As far as he was concerned the place might have been stocked with Youma created by Scheelite rather than civilians. “For that matter what the hell is –anyone- in here wearing?” He added a begrudging if alarmed moment later when someone wandered by wearing leg warmers of synthetic glowing fur and a tutu. Drugs, there had to be drugs involved for this to have made any kind of sense.

This was not good. Out of all the random strangers he could have danced with, he had ended up with his ex. His very pretty ex. His very pretty ex that he never got into bed. The very primal part of his brain was telling him now was his chance, but luckily that was a very small part, left over from his much wilder high school days. The bigger part of his brain was thanking any God that would listen that he was sober, because if he was even the least bit inebriated things would have ended differently and he knew even Carter had his limits on how many times he would forgive him for doing stupid s**t.
In the back of his mind he noticed that her hand had moved from his shoulder to his chest, and for a moment he contemplated putting his own somewhere more neutral, but there really wasn't any other place that wasn't a danger zone except maybe her shoulders, and that would just be awkward. Tossing the irrelevant thought of hand placement away, he made his mouth work.
"Selena, what..." He paused, it seemed a bit rude to demand reasons to why she was there or where she had went. So instead he fell back to his old failsafe. "The blonde hair looks good on you."

Quote: SUCK ON THIS, VALENTINE! Character Name: Daphne Proudmoore Character Faction: Order; Lina Knight Type of Drains Allowed: Any but be aware that Daphne, as Lina, knows how to fight back. She also spends a lot of time with the host so Social or Stealth could be amusing! When Daphne had told Kess that she didn't want to be alone or stuck with the Single Sisters' Solidarity Club (motto 'Single and strong!'), this wasn't precisely what she'd envisioned. Really she felt positively underdressed though at the time of purchase her shirt with its scandalously open back had been deemed-club worthy, the boldly berry-colored bandage skirt was plenty attractive. If constricting. And she'd been smart enough to wear her more solid, less damage-able heeled booties hadn't she? All in all it probably made her look like a bit of a train wreck but that was okay. She'd seen a guy dressed in what looked like most of a craft store's section of fake leaves and heels on her way in. Missing some riotous colors and sexy 'come get me you disgusting pig' clothing wasn't really a big deal. Plus she might have technically had a date. Somewhere. Spotting her date Daphne didn't know what to do. Why? Kess was there in all of her glory talking to perhaps one of the few people from the bluenette's secret past she would have been happy to never have to deal with again. "Goddamn Janice, you can't stop worming your way into everything can you?" It was under her breath, pithy. What the hell was Jan doing at a rave anyway? Wasn't it a bit much for her pathetic heart to....no. Stop it Daphne. The bluenette started an exercise that she had developed months ago to protect herself. Daphne Proudmoore had no reason to antagonize Janice Fitzpatrick. Daphne had not endured years of fierce educational competition and pen clicking with the incredibly annoying Fitzpatrick. Daphne had never met her before. Still it had been proven that Daph was not that great an actress, striding over to poke Kess lightly in the side with a smile. She would simply ignore the problem. "There you are! I was positive this was all some kind of gang initiation and you'd left me to fend for myself." Oh yeah that was totally smooth.

Petalite's uniform was pretty much made for a rave. She hadn't realized it of course until she was in the middle of the first rave she'd ever been too. She didn't even need the blue and purple glowsticks that were dangling between her fingers, her uniform did the glowing for her. It was also incredibly short which in this crowd meant she was getting quite a few a** pats, but she was able to ignore it. It came with the territory really.
The nineteen year old was currently pressed in between two half naked hot guys doing something that resembled dancing, and it was getting a bit too sweaty for her tastes. "Boys, boys, you two are burning up the dance floor." She had to raise her voice to be heard over the music. "But I need a drink, don't go anywhere." Playfully she tapped the firefighter (or at least that's what she assumed he was from the helmet and the yellow speedo) on the nose and then slipped away. Bright orange hair was flicked over a shoulder as she moved towards the bar, sapphire eyes on the lookout for anyone that looked ripe for energy gathering.
It wasn't until she was leaning against the bar ordering her drink that her eyes fell on the trio that was General Ilemnite, Zac, and another man she faintly recognized but couldn't place. It didn't take a genius to see the tension radiating off Zac. Quickly the skimpily dressed Peter Pan was checked over and seeing no wristband she had made her decision. She remembered that Zink took the time to listen to her about Audrey, and while that didn't exactly make them best buddies, it meant she owed him, and now was a perfect time to pay him back.
Drifting over to the group she ignored the General, she didn't know if the redhead was Negaverse or not, but in case she didn't want to offer him the chance to make any connections between Ilmenite and herself. Stopping in front of Andrew she drew a finger lightly down his arm to get his attention, fingers not quite falling away as she attempted to charm and drain him at the same time. "Hey there, you look like the kind of guy who knows how to have a good time" Her smile was sultry as she gazed up at him. "Why don't you drop that stick in the mud, and we can have some fun." Petalite winked, shameless with her flirting.

Arilee simply laughed and shook her head at the question before losing herself to the music for the moment. How to explain to the Very Nice Young Man that she routinely crept from her room at school to engage in as many raves as humanly possible. That she lived for this sort of thing, reveled in it, and as such, was clearly a Bad Girl. In spite of her rigidly held code of ethics. Nope, it was all too complicated. And she wasn't in the mood to delve into anyone's life story tonight, much less her own.
Instead, she contented herself with a murmured, "Oh, sometimes."
His hand brushed her stomach and she smiled a little to herself. After a few moments, she felt a little tired and began to make her way back to the bar.
"I think I'm getting old," she laughed. "I need a break and a drink. Join me for a bit?"

Selena shook her head, trying to shake off the slightly happy edge that the alcohol was giving her. This was quite serious - what were the chances that out of all the people here she could've sidled up to a danced with, she'd chosen her ex-boyfriend? She'd be lying if she told herself that she didn't want to see him, she'd been planning to shoot him a text at somepoint. But here, in a rave, dancing somewhat provocatively against him, wasn't an ideal situation. She'd been thinking of coffee and a spot of lunch, maybe a movie. Due to the loud music, she was forced to lean in closely to hear him speak - perhaps a little too close for comfort. It was awkward, to be frank, and she almost wished she'd downed a few more shots so at least she'd have then just made out with him and left and not remembered it in the morning. Instead, her cheek was a hair's width from him as she strained on her tiptoes (even in those monster heels) to get her ear as close to his mouth as she could manage. She smiled at the compliment, leaning back again so Damian could see the delight on her face. She loved being blonde, and it made her happy when other people liked it too. She leaned her own lips towards his ear - perhaps a little tipsy since she didn't realise just how awkward this could be. "Thanks! It's really good to see you!" It was good to see him, but it might have been a bit of the alcohol talking too. As may have become a little more evident when she took another slurp of her drink.

Oh God, she was getting closer. Damian tried to ignore it, but it was hard to ignore a person when they were pretty much pushed up against you. It was with a surprising amount of self control that he managed to keep his hands from sliding around to her a**. You have a boyfriend, you have a boyfriend, boyfriend, boyfriend, boyfriend Maybe if he repeated it enough it would lessen the temptation. And surprisingly after maybe the tenth time he said the word boyfriend to himself it began to work. He found himself thinking of Carter and realized that even with his extremely attractive now blonde ex-girlfriend in his arms he missed the bluenette.
Her words being shouted in his ear brought him back to the present and he grinned, and then laughed as he watched her drink. "It's good to see you too!" Staring down at her he was at a bit of a loss for conversation topics. A rave wasn't exactly the best place to catch up with someone you haven't seen in years. He leaned down again to speak into her ear, keeping the conversation going so they weren't just awkwardly dancing with each other. "Are you having a good time?" It wasn't the most eloquent, but it would do.

If Selena had known Damian had a boyfriend (which she wouldn't, he'd never made any indication that he was gay/bi when she was dating him) she might have been a little more reserved, more cautious. But she assumed that being at a Valentines rave alone he was currently single, and what with her being single too, who knew what might happen. She'd been quite adamant when they were dating before on how far she'd let him go, but two years could change a person. It had certainly changed Selena, in more ways than just the colour of her hair. Another gulp of her drink saw it finished, and she discarded the plastic cup on the floor so she could bring her other hand up to rest on Damian's chest, a little higher than the first. He didn't seem intoxicated, but perhaps he was just good at hiding it. "Hell yeah!" Selena had always liked music, but with the destruction of her dancing dreams she'd turned more of her attention to it. She wrote music every now and again, although it was never very good. She prefered to strum away on a guitar, or play her saxophone. Feeling the same need to keep the conversation going, Selena lowered one hand and slipped it into Damian's, tugging him after her as she attempted to make her way out of the swaying crowd. "Let's get a drink!"

Ilmenite decided this had been a very good idea. Still rather reeling from a rather excellent kill from a three-quarters naked Drew -- something which he had definitely never thought about before, nope, had never considered when the man came home late, or when the pair of the were drunk, or -- he blinked himself into focus and tried to emphasize the point that he was working.
He wasn't listening very hard to himself. He needed a drink, and a cigarette, and neither of them were available in the close-packed confines of the rave. So he turned and ordered a ginger ale.
Maybe just holding it and drinking something would help.
He turned back around in time to catch Drew grabbing up Zac, and was surprised to find himself more tense than amused. Tense enough that he kind of hoped the officer in the ridiculously-short skirt made a play to leave Drew dozing in a corner somewhere. He chugged his soda, and tried to force his eyes away.

"Nope." Drew replied cheekily, his grip tightening so that the shorter man couldn't squirm away so easily. "Ilmenite pointed out so kindly that I was ruining his cover--so I had to make it seem like some random, drunken encounter. Don't tell me that made you jealous." It was definitely a jab, but he let it pass. No need to tease the General-King too much--not unless he wanted to pay for it dearly, later. That might have sounded like fun.
His grin widened briefly when the conversation turned to the attire, and he dropped his head against the young man's ear so he didn't have to shout as loudly. "If you've noticed, you're way overdressed. Makes you stick out like a sore thumb. The less clothes in a rave, the better. Makes it real easy to blend in."
The sudden feel of someone stroking his arm--and more importantly, siphoning away his energy--was enough to make green eyes flicker to take in the curvaceous, sultry Negaverser attempting to win him over with charm and style. If he hadn't known any better, well, he'd have been quite pleased. His grin was almost shark-like as he looked Petalite over, bending his head almost close enough to kiss her.
"Dunno about that, sweetheart. Don't you know that threesomes are always more fun?"

The shade of red that raced across Zac’s cheeks would have done well as a compliment to Drew’s bright red hair. “I rather fancy I’d alarm anyone who knew me if I wore anything LESS.” His eyes flashed hotly at the word jealousy. Jealous? Oh no, lord no… he refused to be jealous. Didn’t he? “I wouldn’t advise pursuing the question of how… jealously I lay claim to our ‘friend’ at the Bar ‘’Mister Collins’. But I can tell you right now, regardless of how clever the young woman is three way is NOT an option.” He leaned to give her a small nod of thanks for what she had done. Begrudged or no it was a clever ruse to flirt with the man, though if she hadn’t found a hint in his words it might be safer to let her know who, or what she was toying with.

The Captain hadn't made it over to the trio in time to hear the redhead call Ilmenite by name indicating that he at least knew something about the Negaverse, if she had maybe she would have backed off. Possibly. Not likely. As it was, she was encouraged by the flow of energy she was taking from him. Her sapphire eyes never left his face and while the predatory grin might have scared most girls off, Petalite took it as a challenge and she was never one to back down from a challenge. Not that she planned on actually sleeping with him, the idea was to lure him away and then drain the rest of his energy and slip off before he realized what happened. Of course, between then and now she'd have to make some sacrifices. For a moment she thought of Blake but then discarded the thought, she was still upset with him for throwing her into a wall. Besides what he didn't know wouldn't hurt him.
Taking a step closer to him, she tilted her head up to his daring him to close the scant space between their lips. Her hand slid up his arm to drape over his shoulder and her own grin was cat-like. "Oh, honey, I know they are, but your friend there doesn't look all that interested. Anyways," She paused a moment her eyes sliding down his body to take it in, her tongue running over her lips as if she liked what she saw before she looked back up into his eyes. "I doubt he could handle you." She felt the tiniest bit bad about putting down Zac's sexual prowess, but she didn't think he'd want in on a threesome so she hoped he didn't mind the insult.
Unsurprisingly Zac's words confirmed her thoughts on his disinterest in a threesome. What did surprise her was hearing the name Collins, but the only outward sign of shock was her eyes widening just slightly before she fell back into her seductress persona. Behind the facade her mind was whirring. Collins, Collins. Besides the obvious reason of it being her last name as well she tried to remember why it sounded familiar. It was something Audrey had said over a year ago, but she couldn't quite place it. Giving up on trying to actively remember the connection she turned her head slightly to look at Zac, seeing the nod he gave her but not acknowledging it, she didn't want to make it obvious that she was trying to help him.
