Ah. She heard the sadness in his voice, even though he was trying to hide it. For the first time in the conversation, she looked up and made eye contact with him. Standing up, she quickly stepped over to the bed and, completely without warning, sat down next to him and grabbed him in a hug.

he blushed slightly when she hugged him, then shyly hugged her back. he tried to finish what he was going to say, but remained silent, his shyness taking over.*why...cant i say anything? ive never felt like this before...*"...you seemed curious about my age earlier... im not very old, im only 18"he said shyly, suddenly realising how random his comment was.

She gave him a little squeeze. She understood his pain, even if he couldn't explain it. Empathy was one of her strong suits. When he commented on his age... well, that was indeed random. She chuckled lightly and pushed away from him, looking him in the eye with a grin. "I'm 204, but I've only lived in human civilization for 6 months."

he smiled playfully."so 204 years and you just learned about kitsune?"he said, laughing lightly. "kitsune... no matter how old we get, we always look like we're 18... unfortunately, kitsune only live to about 300 or 400 years. and im still very young... im sure everyone here is older than me too."he said,"im not gonna go around the school like a lovesick puppy and look for a relationship either, i gave up on that when i lost my family."he finished, surprisingly calm.

"My people can live a long time in our cities and towns, but living with humans can shorten our lifespan. It's not known by how much, because none of the fae who grew up in the industrial revolution times are all that old yet." She looked a little sheepish. In truth, her own people were a mystery to her, because her village was so remote that she rarely met other fae. "I'm sorry about your family."

Watching him cry breaks her heart, and she can't help but scoop him into another hug. Or it would be scooping, if she wasn't so tiny.

Asakura closed his eyes tightly as he cried silently. he felt weak, crying in front of her. "why couldnt it have been me? why did it have to be everyone else?"he said, not intending for her to hear him

As he cried, Eliza began to pressure his mind. In his sorrow, he had left it unguarded. She'd have to warn him about that; wouldn't want him to share dreams with her or anything. As it was, she began to trickle a sense of calmness, a pathway to happier memories and serenity, into his mind. A simple, unobtrusive glamour to help settle his moods as she held him and rubbed up and down his back. "Let it out, Asakura. It's healthy to cry."

"It's important to forgive. If you hurt people, you'll be putting their loved ones through the same pain you went through. But at the same time, I can understand why you wouldn't want to..." She sighs. "You don't have to forgive them if you don't want to, but revenge isn't right."

he nodded, agreeing with her. "i can try to forgive... but i refuse to forget."he said sadly. he knew he couldnt forget even if he wanted to, the nightmares of it tormented him every night.

"i will try to forgive them... but i dont know how to get rid of all my hate for them..."he said sadly. he thought about what she had said."...were you one of the refugees?" he asked, hoping his question wouldn't bring back any bad memories
