He casted an awkward glance at Pheonix. A feathered creature reborn? Could she be..? "I'm sorry." he snorted. "I have never heard of such a thing, but he has indeed. Though I do have a question that's now itching inside to come out. Does the creature know about the doings of its past life?"
Something told the stallion that as a matter of fact, this might be the true history of his companion. Why she had a master before was what he did not know. Didn't she say that she used to be a bird anyways?
Shaking his head, he smiled. "I just realized that you don't know my name. I'm Ahadzen and this is Pheonix." he spoke looking at the feathered one again. "And your name is?"

She couldn't believe she had not told them her name yet. Where in the world was her head today? First she zones out, and now she's neglecting the most basic of courtesies.
"My name is Freezia, but if you like, you may simply call me Free. It is what my bonded calls me most of the time. It is a pleasure to meet you both, and though I have heard the tales of this creature, I'm afraid that what I have conveyed, is all I know. It is quite possible that it does not actually exist, and is only a story, told to make one use his or her imagination."
Ahadzen was being very cordial to her, but she began to wonder if there was something distracting the one called Phoenix. And why did that name sound so familiar to her? Was it possible they had met somewhere in her and Rhia's travels? She was sure she would have remembered such a beautiful Azrein as this one, but she didn't. However her name did seem to strike a cord in her mind.

"Well, I guess in that case, you may call me Ahadi or simply Zee." Weird how he was now telling names that those of his old herd used to be so fond of calling him. Whatever. This Free wasn't even part of his part, so why worry?
"Anyhow, do you know these cliffs by any chance? I'm having an awful hard time trying to get rid of constantly looking down!"

Free could well understand the stallions predicament. Not all Azrein were bred for mountain climbing like she was. It was a gift that the Capra were given, to be agile on the mountains that were their homes. However, these particular mountains were not her home, so she would not be able to share any insight into where they should go, or what they might find. It would be as new to her as it was to them. "Thank you for that honor," she said, referring to Ahadzen allowing her to use a shortened version of her name. Not every Azrein would be so courteous with a stranger. "I am sorry to say that I do not know these particular cliffs. I was not raised in this range, but if you would like, I would be happy to take the lead, and ensure that you have sound footing. You would only need to follow where I walk."#05B8CC

Anyhow, he was getting tired of just chattering the day away. When would they even get over this mountain anyway? Or even see the snows up ahead? Maybe. Just maybe he would see a herd in the snow like his former one's. All he did know for sure was that around others the whispers were growing fainter and fainter. Or maybe it was just the high altitude that they were at.
"Yes, I'll love that Free." he answered. "Where were you from again?"

[[ Yeah I know you guys have been going on. I've just been trying to get my muse back for this RP. ]]
Pheonix had stopped looking over the horizon to notice the mare they had left by the river. Her red eyes stared over toward her for a moment as she and Ahadzen had conversed. Her ears flicked a little, tail waving as she looked over to the both of them. After her silence, Pheonix gave a bit o a snort. "Please, feel free to join us." The mare stretched her neck and frame for a moment. Her eyes remained distant as they spoke of the legendary fire bird known as the Phoenix. Her master had often spoken about that creature before...how it was perfect and powerful all the same. And that it could never die...it would always be reborn...
Her eyes blinked a few times to snap her back to attention. She gave a grunt and started up toward the mountain having itched to move. "Are we going to talk all day or actually climb?" The mare picked her way through the mountains just as naturally as Freezia had for just because she didn't look it, Pheonix was used to almost any terrain because of her travels...and just instinct. The mare couldn't explain it as she chose a path her herdmate, Ahadzen, could follow. She turned over her shoulder and watched them. Pheonix felt a little strange that Ahadzen had shortened his name for Freezia. Her nostrils flared a little as she gave a grunt staring back up toward the mountain as she continued to climb. There was something pulling her upward...something that made her insides burn.

Free was about to climb around the two when the mare suddenly chose to speak. So instead of taking the lead, seeing as how she felt confident enough to lead them herself, Free brought up the rear instead. There was something about the way the mare moved that caused her mind to keep searching for the answer to why she seemed so familiar. They had moved on a short way when suddenly a flash of color descended from the sky above them, and loudly declared, "Here you are! I've been looking all over the kingdom for you!" Free replied, "Pen! Don't do that! Especially around those you don't know!" The Sairys that hovered in the air over Free was not one for courtesy. She pretty much did as she pleased, and said what she thought. Free thought of her as a feisty colt, but she was her friend, and as such, she gave her some leeway. "Who are they?" She asked, as she flew around the two strange Azrein. #05B8CC #91219E

YAY! Ahadzen and Pheonix are herdmates!(:
He was about to start walking again, following Pheonix's words in agreement. It was like if she thought of the same thing as him. "Yes, let's go." he muttered. His footsteps stopped not too long because of the sound of the Sairys that was flying up ahead. What beauty. Maybe it was this one that was making the pleasant noises that he heard on the way here?
He was pawing the ground restless. Weren't they just abut to continue up? Ugh. Next another stranger shall join us and then we'll be living on the cliffs until the day that I become an equivir! he joked him his head. But seriously. This was starting to become a hold up to his mission.
The longer that Ahadzen was off stable land, the more restless he got, constantly getting impatient. Why did he choose this path instead of the one headed to the woods anyways? Then the Sairys spoke directly to Pheonix. What did it mean by it knew what she was looking for? The way that Freezia spoke made it sound like she and this Pen of hers knew one another.
"I'm Ahadzen." he answered in a somewhat irritated manner. Using his horn, he made lines in the dirt underneath his hooves. It was like if he drew a map of the cliffs.

Pheonix had indeed continued to climb until the noise stopped her. She looked up in time to see a bird that almost made the air trap in her throat. Could it be...? Upon closer inspection and the way it spoke, Pheonix quickly dismissed the idea. Her ears flicked back in order to hear what was being said as she scaled the trail further up. Suddenly the purple thing got in her face and demanded to know who she was. "Hello. I am Pheonix. We're climbing this mountain for fun, obviously." She grunted and was prepared to move the Sairys out of the way but was quickly stopped by her comment. "I'm sure." Pheonix gave a snort looking back over her shoulder. Ahadzen seemed pretty perturbed based on the way he was reacting. Poor thing. He definitely needed to brush up on his people skills. "May I ask what you're doing in these mountains, Penelope?" Pheonix asked curiously knowing that her mistress, Freezia, obviously had something to do with it. But she couldn't help but wonder if this bird had ulterior motives.

Free could see from her vantage point at the back of the pack that Penelope was in fine form today. Her feisty nature was revealing itself to these two new Azrein. Free could tell from the movements of the male that he was not at all happy with this new development. She couldn't blame him really, as he was obviously concerned with his stability on the cliffs. She figured she had better do something quick, to quiet Pen down, or the stallion just might take a swipe at her with his teeth.
"Pen! Stop it! Come here right now!"
Penelope could not deny the request of her friend, so she left off with the red mare and flew to Free. "What?"
"Now is not the time to be friendly Pen. We're on the side of a mountain, as you can well see. Let us get to somewhere level, and then you can be friendly all you want."
Penelope's feathers seemed to wilt at her rebuke, but she knew that her friend was not really mad with her. She was just concerned for the safety of the others, so she flew off, higher up the mountain, and came to rest on an outcropping. She would wait for them to reach her there, and then fly a little further on, until they stopped to rest.

The Sairys was being just as obvious as Pheonix it seemed when the bird answered the bird-azrein's curious inquisitions. Her tail flicked behind her idly looking toward the kirin. He was struggling a little but Phe was unsure of what. She offered him a gentle whicker in order to encourage him along as Freezia spoke to Penelope. "Are you all right, Ahadzen?" Phe used this time to check on him then noticed the bird fly to an outcropping that wasn't too far. She turned and gave the stallion a confident grin before climbing up toward Penelope's perch, her hair gently blowing in the now slight wind. It seemed the higher up they went, the more wind they would have to contend with.

Free watch Penelope fly upwards and finally roost on an outcropping of rock. She also noticed that Phoenix was trying to encourage Ahadzen. She had to wonder why the stallion would have chosen to climb a mountain if he was so unsure of himself on the rocky terrain. She assumed it was due to his close friendship with Phoenix, and left it at that. She was just glad to have fellow Azrein to spend time with. It was her most fondest desire that her bonded's mate would one day be chosen, and then she would have someone to spend time with when they were together. But Zander was evil to the core, so what well-minded Azrein would ever chose him? She knew it was not uncommon for Azrein to chose humans with evil personalities, but she couldn't see the reasoning in it. She herself could not conceive of consorting with anything evil, which is why she always chose to go off by herself whenever Rhia and Zander came together in their travels. If they ever decided to settle down again, she would find it very difficult to remain always by her bonded's side.
They were moving again, climbing ever so slowly up the side of the mountain toward the outcropping where Pen now waited.

"Yeah. I'm fine." he said as Pheonix went higher. Climbing in his slow usual self up here, he had the time to think over things. Of what? Well, he was able to have the time to observe the Sairys more. A sightseeing creature with a calm color scheme. This was the first of its kind that he had seen after all.
Quickening his pace, he found it embarrassing to be holding up the group. After all, it was he that wanted to come up here. Finally reaching the three, he felt accomplished. There. Another successful climb.

Free hadn't realized that she had gotten around the stallion, and that he was now behind her, until he caught up with them. "I hope we're not going to fast for you," she said. "I tend to overlook the fact that not everyone is used to hopping around the cliff face like I am."
"It's about time you all got here," said Penelope, from her perch. She spread her wings wide, and allowed the wind to blow through them. She loved the feel of the air on her feathers, and she could sit there no longer. Letting the air current grab her wings, she launched herself into the air and slowly glided in a wide circle until she was out of sight behind another outcropping further up the slope.
"Well, at least we don't have to put up with her incessant jabbering for the moment. I do apologize for her earlier outburst. She is a very feisty bird, but she's friendly to all, and would never do any harm."

Pheonix used this time to watch the horizon. Her eyes were quite distant as she thought about the stories that were exchanged earlier. This mountain's spell had yet to release her and she felt all the more inclined to go up. And yet...she couldn't just leave Ahadzen. She felt a sort of kinship with him and would refuse to let him fall behind. Her thoughts were broken as the stallion managed to make it up on the ledge on his own. She gave him a wide smile as if to say she was proud. Her tail flicked behind her, feathers rustling as it did so. Her attention was brought to the bird who took the time to fly back up to the next perch. Pheonix felt the wind against her face and mane blowing it back a little, her nose twitching a little before she gave another sneeze, middle feather coming down to slap at her nose before resting at its natural state.
"Go on ahead of us, Freezia. I'm going to give Ahadzen some supprot." She tilted her head upward giving a small grunt before turning back to her friend. "Whenever you are ready we will go together."
