A deep growl came out his chest. How could this pup... step on one. Wasn't he, Thread, the one to have stepped on it? "Well that is good to know." Now what did, Fire say? He had to...to pee on it?
Well that was something different to do. Now that it was mentioned, the red fox had to go, but he wasn't sure. "Oh what the hell..." With that he lifted his foot and released. He was not looking at the other fox because, well it wasn't right.

Fire unconsciously flinched as the other male let out a deep growl behind him. His body shrank away for a moment not wanting to be harmed even though he was hurting. Though he couldn't moved much and left his hind leg behind him with it turned slightly. He froze as the his paw felt the first warm trickles of pee. It was gross no doubt about it but he couldn't get the right items to make the proper past and the other fox wouldn't have a clue to look for with out him who couldn't really move. So he stood there letting the other pee on him.

Finished, Thread moved away. "How soon can you move?" He sure in the hell didn't want to cleanse the wound again. One time is good enough. His head was still turned, not wanting to embarrass the other fox any more.

Fire's breath caught as the last of the pee hit is foot and the burning slowly made its way back down to nothing. It took him a moment to find his voice. "We should give it a moment to dry. There is something in one's pee that acts as a counter acid and neutralizes the poison and stops it from spreading. Later it will have to be cleaned again but not in that way. In the more common way one is to clean a wound,"

He was glad he had his head turned. It was a relief to hear he wouldn't have to pee on a foot again. It was bad enough as a kit learning. "Are we getting more food, before leaving the area?" Thread turned to look back at the other, a small smirk on his face.

"We can most certainly continue to get food from here but I don't think I'm going to travel as far into the deeper water," Fire stated as he hobbled to face the other noticing the small smirk made him feel a slight bit better but not a great amount by any means.

He dropped his head, knowing that he would probably be the one to carry more of the food or be the one going into the deeper water. "Does that mean I need to go out there and get more?" Thread eyed the water with a little bit of annoyance. Getting wet from rain or jumping into a pond was one thing, this was a little bit more than he wanted to get into.
The waves crashing around did not make it any better. "Well lets get to work on more. If I can get some, that is."

"That doesn't necessarily mean you have to go out in deeper water it would mean that we would have to be a bit more spread out along the shallows," his voice was a light matter of fact statement as he made his way back to the water.

"Well that is a relief. Is there a type you really want?" Not that he would really know what it would be, but no harm asking. He stepped back towards the area he was working in before Fire got stuck with the spike.

"I thought you might think so," Fire said with a chuckle. "There isn't really anything in particular that I am searching for just something that one can eat," He than continued down till his paws touched the waters edge. Where he peered down into the murk. "We can eat clams and oyster which are shellfish. It is good but you gotta clean them right. You have to dig in the sand where there are lil holes that look like tiny tiny sink holes. You have to dig really fast to catch them."
